Good Morning !

Congrats on your weight loss! Becky

ML: You are so full of joy these days! Love your enthusiasm.

How's everyone else doing?

I decided to stop the BC pills I started on 8/4. My TOM never stopped since then and it's making me gain tons of water weight. I gotta get back to basics with my low carbing too. No more low carb casseroles for me for a while.

Port you are on the right path. It feels good to see the scales going down. Hope you had a nice vacation.

ML, yes it is good to see you so positive and motivated. You are on your way.

Hi Betty, how's it going? My sister has a thyroid issue. She can't lose weight and so they need to adjust her meds. She is going to her endocrinologist thas week. I will let you know what he tells her.

Hi Blue and ebeads. Have a great day

Good morning Linda! So good to see you here this morning

I will be all ears to see what your sister's doc says about metabolism, etc. It is so frustrating! I was a good camper this morning and went out and got my LC food and the store had stacks of my seltzer in shrink wrapped flats .. SOOO much easier for me to manage than all those rattling bottles. LOL So I grabbed 2 flats , also a few bottles of diet quinine water since that seems to be part of the no leg cramp system that works for me ( magnesium and potassium supplements and some diet quinine water.) Once a day I put about 1/3 of a glass of the quinine water in a tumbler, add 1 cap of Braggs ACV a pinch of stevia and then fill the rest of the glass with regular water. Very yummy to my wierd taste buds. tangy! I also learned today that I should be taking my melatonin 6 hours before I expect to go to bed, not at bedtime. who knew?

Hope your plans for the day go well and that your upcoming weekend is enjoyable!

Linda- I'm doing fine thanks for asking..
Today is my

Needless to say I'm going to have a birthday dinner and not worry about it.

Might be a little off plan tomorrow, but not too crazy..hubby and I are leaving the kids with a friend and going to Six Flags..

Right back to it on Sunday of course.
Only a little over a month now til Hubby's high school reunion. It would be nice to lose at least 5lbs by then. maybe 10 is a little bit lofty for me.

I've also been buying shorts and stuff that are on clearance..some that I can't squeeze into yet but it's my goal!!

Happy birthday, Betty! Go on enough of those crazy rides and any carbage will be, er, well, uh, left behind...

Thanks, Linda, nice to see you around! It appears I cannot lose on this level of carbs; time to cut it back again. Hopefully if/when something else finally happens (lots of magnesium citrate and no plans to go anywhere after this evening) I'll at least get down to my low.

Congrats on the progress and the new WOE, Marylouise! Looking forward to seeing less of you and more of you at the same time.

ebeads, I've always preferred plain seltzer except for the occasional real, cane sugar Coke, even many years before I ever thought I'd have a weight problem. Have to have the carbonation when I'm thirsty, but have never liked diet sodas.

BlueTopaz, sounds like you're taking all the right steps. You might be pleasantly surprised by a big drop come next Friday's weigh in!

portcop, I can't swim either (I literally can't even float; sink like a stone the second I'm in the water) and I live just a couple of hundred feet from Puget Sound.

Marge you can not swim either????

I have always been so surprised by how many have trouble at least floating. My H cant float either. You just have to let go and trust the water. Inhale and letting a little air out will slowly get you more in the water. Everyone knows how to swim. We swam for 9 months...Well at least while we had enough room.

I'm here now. I just finished defrosting the fridge. Yea O know but they still make them. H made his chose to get it when we moved back into the bus the first time. I saw one I wanted . It was deep and stain steel. Had an auto defrost on it too but he didint want to pay a few extra dollars on it so. I have to defrost the crappie thing. He had been saying for weeks it needed doing and I was like what are you king or something. Well he brought a heat gun in for me to get up and do it to speed things along. Before my eyes it completely melted the thing in three different places. Well it happens! What you may ask? Life.

Green coffee bean? I'm sorry I must have missed that. What is it?

Weight stayed the same today. But thats okay cant expect to lose everyday.

Linda: Hope you are doing well today.

Betty: Love your avatar and Happy Birthday, girlie

Marge: I hope I'm doing the right thing by quiting the BC pills. I didn't work this arse off losing weight just to have some man-made pill fight me.

ebeads I take mine a couple hours before I go to bed. Sometimes 3 hours. I did find that if I take when I go to bed it takes hours to work. After about 6 to 8 weeks it really kicks in for me......Where did you read to take it 6 hours before bed???

Warning! Long, whiney post ahead, ya don't have to read it!

Good morning everyone! My back is totally killing me so I am not sitting at the PC too much. I did play that video about intermittent fasting to listen to while I was laying down. That particular one was not about the diet per se but was very medically informative. The guy ended up with a two down day and the rest up days for maintenance. Not a bad idea across the board. I have been sort of shifting to having "up days" but keeping LC when my appetite spikes. Some days I have no trouble keeping down to 600 to 800 calories. So I guess I am on the whenever the spirit moves ya down days diet heheheh. My only challenge daily is keeping protein on the lower side. I have no trouble eliminating carbs and keeping eating on the allowed list. I have no trouble eating enough fat. I LOVE butter and mayo and CO heheheh. But I also love my eggs and meat and fish so portion control on those is my challenge. God Bless ****** my scrambled fibro brain would never figure this stuff out on its own. Two weeks since I last weighed . I am not feeling any lighter or more room in clothes this time , so I think I may be again stalled. I am going to weigh in at week 3 this time ( in one more week ) because the craft fair coming up throws everything off. It is not like I am planning to go off plan, but I know that the stress and the demands of the event always throw me for a loop so I will most likely have a slip. I do take hard boiled eggs , wrapped mini cheeses ( I usually do not allow myself cheese) and lots of water to the craft fair... but I am usually certifiably insane during that time. Too much stress for me to handle plus getting me and my display and my items there and set up, well by the time the show even opens I am usually in so much pain that it is rough to keep up a pleasant exterior. I have had to quit the shows because of this, but I have stubbornly held on to this one. It is local and I have done it for EVER. In the good old days in the 80s and 90s I used to make what it takes me half a year to sell now. LOL I know things will never be like that again and at this point I question my judgement even to want to do again at all. Anyway thank you for listening to me whine at 2 oclock in the morning.

ebeads how long have you been Lcing. And how many carbs do you eat most days? and how many veggies do you eat...
Have you did the math to see how many you need and dont need?????????????????????

It does not sound to me like you are getting enough calories....Yes it is hard to cut protein back. and the only way I see to do it is to add green veggies. so far I am eating one serving a day. Soon it will be 2 servings.......and other things

Ohhhh, nuttin much planned - had some tummy problems this week (allergies), feeling ok today so far - but I haven't eaten. Can't eat too much w/o feeling bloated and tummy ache. I did find out that locally there is a Farmers Market that sells organic meat so I'm going to check it out today and try it out. Hope it doesn't cost a whole lot more. Looking to get some fresh veggies too while I'm there. So, it's going to be an expedition of sorts.
