We're all still here! Hopefully less of each of us these days... (that would be less mass of each of us, not less presence here at LCF ).

Hi, Annabel! How is your mom?

Hi, kitty, how is your back?

I need to talk about some stuff so I can get it worked out in my mind. I am a very slow learner.

1. I have a Salivary gland that needs to be removed. Sialadenitis.......

2. It can not be removed because they found-- Probable hemodynamically significant carotid arterial stenosis involving the left ICA bulb. There are dense calcific atherosclerotic changes involving the left ICA bulb.
boy that was a mouth full :-)

3. Incidental note is made of the presence of mild degenerative changes involving the cervical spine. Otherwise unremarkable.
At 61 I think mild is a good word there!

4. I have lost more than half of myself!

5. I am going to lose at least 20 more.

6. My lipid study is sooooooooooo much improved....

7.

got to do more thinking about that 7........

Maybe this is number 7---

I will be on my WOE forever because if I don't, FOREVER will not be very long time

Hi, Annabel! How is your mom?

Hi, kitty, how is your back?
Thanks for asking Marge.
My daughter, my sister and I spent the day with her Sunday.
It was not one of her good days.
The Doctor has tweaked some of her medications but really there is no big change. She was in pretty good spirits and she knew who we all were but she did not know where she was.
she often thinks she is in an airport!
She is getting to the point where she would just rather be resting in bed.
I hope she is a little better when I see her today.

Hi Marylouise,
How are you doing today?

Hi to everyone else out there!
I was at 191.8 this morning....so maintaing still.

I am so looking forward to school being out!
I spend so much time with my Mom that I hardly have time with my daughter.
She is growing up so fast.
Really wanting to spend time with her this summer!
Can't wait for long days at the beach!
I have not been at the beach in just my swimsuit in forever!
I am very nervous.
I am just dying to do some bodysurfing.
I haven't done it in 30 years!
I am so glad that my eyes are in my head so that I don't have to look at me in my suit!
I am very sorry for everyone else on the beach who has to look at me.

I really hope I have enough guts to get out there!!!!

Anyone else uncomfortable in your swimsuit?
Any tips?

Um, yeah, I have TOO MUCH guts to get out there!! Never wore a swimsuit ever in my entire life, was too thin until I was too fat.

I'm so sorry about your mom! My mom is still on her own and all there for the most part, but I'm seeing more and more signs of what's ahead, and she's only going to be 72 in August. Scares me so badly sometimes!

I also took care of an elderly couple as a second job for several years; he had severe dementia and she was just getting foggy with age, and with lack of mental stimulation especially after he passed (I was only there for a 48-hour weekend shift; their/her regulars were useless )

But you're going to do great with the bodysurfing! Nobody is going to be looking at you in the swimsuit; they'll be too busy admiring your awesome moves on your board!

I started to notice changes in my mom when she was 74. Of course that was the year she ran her first complete marathon!
She started running in her late 50s!

She is almost 92 and is in pretty good physical health but has severe
dementia.
It is so sad.

Hi ya'll.
Heather I am taking my hat off for the body surfing! WOW. As much as I love water I dont think I could be brave enough for that. I'm glad your mama knew who yall were. And very glad you are on plan and not gaining. Not gaining is a great deal!

Marge I wear shorts and a tee shirt in water. I have had a swim suit on, under my clothes. Scarey thought walking around in a suit. I'd scare everyone out of the water like JAWS did!

Busy today trying to find a trailer. Fema seems to have ran everyone out of business that were close by.

Hi
So glad to have you back!!
Good luck with the search for a trailer!
It is out there somewhere waiting for you to find it!!

When I am on the beach I don't really admire beautiful young bodies.....it is the
the beautiful, mature, brave, soul in the less that perfect body that I am admiring.

As you can see I am really trying to talk myself into this!!!!

Hope you all have a good day!!

Will do, MaryLouise!!
I am hoping we will go to the beach for Fathers day!

It turns out my mom has a bladder infection.
So glad we figured it out.
It seems that those kinds of infections can cause confusion in the very mature adults! She is on antibiotics and I am hoping she will feel better soon.

Wishing you continued luck with the hunting!

Good luck on the trailer search! Took us forever to find ours! We ended up ordering it.

Body surfing! Awesome! Have Done body boarding and love it! Can't wait to do it again! August!!! Hitting the waves! I agree, just get out here and have fun! Most will be in awe of your fun loving attitude! Most are more worried about themselves to care what you look like!

I love board shorts with a cute top. Covers and looks ok.

Hi Kitty,
I am currently looking for some board shorts for my daughter!
I am not sure that they have them in my size....would be nice.
I do have a nice new one piece suit that I have never even had on.
I hope I don't chicken out!
Last time I went body surfing I was well under 120!
Not even sure I can do it at this weight.
Oh well nothing ventured nothing gained!

I sent an email to the Governor of Arkansas yesterday and I got a call from them today! :-)

I may get help from them finding heart doctor!!

Certain cases will be heard and I may get help!

Moving my last thread sounds like it may have been a blessing!

We may have our house sold. Keeping fingers crossed and praying constantly

Yea I would like being able to order the one I want. Never know I just may be able to do just that! Kitty how is your back? And what maker did you use to get your trailer?? We could build a house but our son does not own his land title free. We think it is best to just get a home on wheels for now. Trying to find a 2 bedroom is HARDER than I thought it would be. We also want it to be at least a 16 wide.

Heather it was a fast response! I was shocked that they responded sooo fast. She is sending me a form to sign and mail back to her giving her permission to help me. She said also that there is a insurance that is based on ones monthly income. My DH is disabled and I just might the help I need so badly. I feel good about it!

You know the blockage does not worry me as much as the blocked salivary gland I got some fiber today. It is sugar free. It has a few carbs but it will be worth it if it helps lowers my Cholesterol! Tried to find regular Niacin. Had no luck, yet. I am going to have the test done to find out if I have the fluffy kind. I was told it was the good kind.

Heather thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Prayers help!!

Heather have you ever tried to get your mama to consume Co? Maybe make her something with several tablespoons in it. A lot of research is being done to find all the health benefits of CO and dementia is one of them....

MaryLouise My heart is so glad for you.

Thanks for the CO tip.
I should take it too.
Sometimes I feel like a chicken running around with my head cut off!

I just found out this morning that on top of the bladder infection my mom has pneumonia.
I will be spending the day with her so I will be away for a while.

Pinegrove... Made in eastern pa by Amish. Found a model we liked, but doors, etc. on wrong side for our land setup. We had them do a mirror image, changed a window placement in one bedroom, took out washer area to add stairwell for basement. Got to pick walls, floors, lights, sinks, tubs, etc. we decided to go with mobile since we couldn't afford the same size in stick built at the time. (hubby only working, 4 kids and I was half way through college). It's paid for now though. That's a good thing! Needs updates now though.

Hope you find one you like!

Back report: comes and goes. Getting doc appt.

WOW your's sound wonderful!!! We may have a buyer for the house in Tennessee!!!!!!

David wants to build, I dont. I want to stay mobile! Our sons land is not paid for and we cant find any land here to buy.
In 1986 we built a house. Sold it years later. Re-bought it years later for cash. Sold it again years after that and re-bought it again for cash! Sold it in 2006. Ant buying it back again. LOL!!!

Kitty I am glad you are going to the doctor! I hope they don't find anything bad. Maybe it is just a pulled muscle...

I contacted the Congressman for Arkansas. Rick Crawford. They sent me forms to sign. Hoping I can get medical help from them!!! Yall keep fingers crossed and send me your prayers! I am not so worried about the blocked artery in my neck. I want this Salivary gland removed!!!
I have changed up my diet a little bit. Adding some green food and a few blue berries. Plus fiber!!! WOW did I need the fiber. ::::blushing::::

I have Walden Farms b-b-q. It has zero everything. I got it again for cook out we are having Sunday for dads day. If I cook it before using it, it's good. Better than nothing!
I am about to get upset not being able to order on line! Netrition has so many great things!!!! Finding low carb in the local town is so very HARD!! Memphis is the only place I can find stuff and I dont go across the bridge into Tennessee.....BUT I need to start going across that bridge!

Prayers Hun.

We bought a tiny used single wide when we first bought our land. (read, very tiny!) paid it off, paid off the land, then, put the double wide on a basement.

Maybe find one that is suitable for now, and keep eyes open for land options?

Going to try the Guys BBQ sauce from netrition. Many talk of making own, but I like to have it ready to just pour on! LOL

Marylouise, I use apple pectin pills from puritan pride (cheap) for Chole. also red yeast rice is very very good. A few years back the Dr. told me I needed Rx for it,I refused, I believe trying natural products first, so far I am doing great, thats just me,good luck, my Salivary gland has been behaving lately. let me know if you get the apple pectin.
