Hi Yall,

Hope I am sorry. I was asking Linda and I grabbed your name by mistake. Linda are you going to get a few fresh limes or lemons? I enjoy one every now and again.
Congrads Connie on losing! Feels great when the hubby notices.
Annabel Lee it will get better. I know how hard it gets when you are staying on plan and weight just hangs on!
Marge how you doing?
Shellbaby how you doing?
YAll how yall doing??

Kathy sons were here last night and I was half asleep when I sent that hard to understand and hard to read post. I am sorry. No I would not get a bird that has a bad past. It has a bad past or it would not bite. I would never get one that bites right off. Get a hand raised bird. They are the best friends in the bird world. You want the bird to bond to you and it will. Hand raised is the top of the line bird!

I am staying stuck with my gain for too many days now. Still holding off the cheese for 2 more days. I dont think the cheese is the staler, but I will do it anyway.
Found marriage lic. so we are going to get new drivers lic. Love you guys. I will be back later today.

Have a great thin weekend! :-)

I'm not good at all today. I'm just not happy weighing 230 pounds and I DO eat right and it just doesn't happen for me. I feel awful today and I can't stop crying. I have been eating this way for a week now and still lost nothing. My pants are still tight. I'm sorry for being such a downer but this is how I feel and it sucks. It's not like this is new for me. I have been doing atkins for 2 1/2 years and my daughter lost her weight doing this with me and my husband that didn't need to lose any at all lost 21 lbs. I try harder than the both of them put together. I'm very sad today. I know in my heart this fat is here to stay with me.

Shellbaby, so sorry you feel blue. Are you sticking strictly to the list. I would cut back on the cheese. Also I agree maybe your thyroid is out of whack. Try and stick it out a few more weeks, and add some exercise if you can. Crystal Light stalled me. Also gave up diet coke. Stay with us. I know it is frustrating, but hang in there . Everyone is here to help you.

Kitty, I know what you mean. Had family drama last week and it took it's toll. Tomorrow is another day.

Cathy, way to go on the weight loss.

Annabel, I may try the pork rinds to see it will satisfy a craving. Nuts and I have a control issue.

Hope, I am in my late, really late, 60's. Yes it is harder to lose but it does come off. It took me a year to lose 40 lbs. I feel the same way as you do. I feel young but the ravages of old age get to me at times. Age doesn't matter as long as you feel good. I married a younger man who keeps me young and we have been married 27 years. I was a cougar before it became popular!!!!

ML We have a lemon tree but right now nothing on it..

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Hey yall.....about 2 1/2 years ago I was really sick and in intensive care because my bp was 210/120 and my sugars were averaging 800's. My A1C was 14. It took my dr. a while to dind the right combinations of bp meds to get it down to normal range. I weighed 194 at that time when I started meds. In less than 2 months I gained up to 234. I was miserable and decided to give Atkins a try...I had done Atkins back in 98 and it worked very well. Anyways I started Atkins and lost weight for the first 2 to 3 weeks and I stalled. I joined an atkins forum and people started helping me tweak the diet with cutting out cheese and sweeteners. I stayed on atkins straight and narrow with no cheats for the next 8 months then someone tried to help me again and said I needed to really up my fats a lot...So I did that and I lost a few pounds and stalled once again for the next 3 months. After once again people suggesting stop eating cheese and sweeteners I just threw my hands up and went back off atkins for about 3 months and gained what little weight I had lost all back. Then I decided to give it another try with once again the same results...I lose for 2 weeks and that's it...I have had my thyroid checked and all is good...I really feel like it's my bp meds especially the water pill part...I can't stress to people enough that I DO eat on plan and I mean exactly on plan. I had Marylouise ask me to join this forum in hopes this would work for me. I ain't gonna lie that I have doubts about it..I feel very alone and lost. I know it's hard for the people that do lose to understand how I can be honestly eating strictly on plan and not losing. I am being very honest and truthfull..I am just the one in a million that can't lose. I went and got a vitamin called L-Taurine that is supposed to work in place of the water pill my dr. has me on...And also people keep saying that atkins is a natural diuretic and if I was really sticking to the plan right that I wouldn't even need the water pill....Well wrong!!!!! I do need the dag gum thing because I was taken off the water pill by my dr. while I was doing atkins to the T and my bp goes up dangerously high. I don't know whatelse to say or do. It sucks so bad. I know this is annoying to people so if yall need me to leave this forum I really understand. I just keep hoping that someone is gonna have some wonderful answer for me and it will help me. I'm so sorry for being like this but I hate weighing 230 pounds and all my clothes hurt me to wear them. I would lobe to lose down to 200 pounds and that's sucky considering I was not happy when I weighed 194. Boy what I would give to be able to make it back to that weight again Thanks so much for letting me vent here and thanks for anyone who has tried to help me in anyway.

Oh, Hun. Stick around. We all need support. You need a lot with this all going on...

My thoughts still go to testing....extensive....find a doc that will. Treat symptoms....will try things....accepts new ideas....I ha my thyroid tested before also....supposedly it was normal! Finally, when my adrenals crashed and my body screamed for help, I found a doc that treated symptoms...my thyroid still is in the oral range, but he knows with my symptoms, I need help there. Getting it now, and feeling better. He even said most GP's wouldn't be treating mine! Go to the thyroid threads here. Do a search for stop the thyroid madness. Interesting stuff.

I've been reading a lot of what Dr. Jack Kruse is working on....Leptin resetting (did that and have seen good results) and CT ing. Google him and be prepared to read awhile....mixes scientific with layman .....he personally answers responses to his blog posts. You will want to go back a ways to earlier ones to get a grasp of what he is doing. He believes in LC...just is taking it farther.

Just don't give up on yourself!

The CT ing sounds weird, but starts to make sense when you read the responses from those doing it. I guess major athletes do it too. Been attempting some basic stuff there...no ice baths....yet! Cold pool swims coming!

I absolutely know and understand that there are people who eat strictly on plan but don't lose or eventually stall for a long time. It is not your fault!!
Hope you feel better soon!!

MaryLouise!

NO berries yet!

For those of you that didn't see the post, I am maintaining 155-156 and have not gone above 156.
Here is an example of what I have been eating.....

2 cups coffee with half and half, splenda, and tsp of coconut oil in each cup
(I love the flavored coffees such as island coconut-no extra carbs)
One chocolate cloud if they are made

Mid-morning, I will eat one string cheese

Lunch-Is one half cup of cottage cheese and one cucumber cut up, which I dip into ranch/some days I will have a piece of chicken or meat that is left over from dinner the night before. Some days I will take some pork rinds and spread sour cream/salsa on them.

Dinner is chicken, chicken wings, steak, hamburger--with mushrooms some days! Low sugar ketchup, or sour cream and salsa on my burgers.
A small salad with tomatoes, shredded mozz cheese, and some slivered almonds. *Good Seasons salad dressing is my favorite-the kind you mix up in the bottle* (Use just a bit)

Night-Tea and sf jello

Not exercising right now due to my schedule--that will help tons!

Also, I am so carb sensitive that one evening, my DH made low carb pasta with sauce that had hamburger meat in it. I had one and 1/2 cups--the next day I was up .4 of a pound. Though if I wanted to maintain this weight, it would not be bad to have this one night a week--hey, it is spaghetti!

Weekends are great because I make bacon and scrambled eggs with cheese (and hot sauce) because I have time to enjoy them!! Darn sugar in the bacon--can't find NO sugar in it!

When my schedule settles down, I will tweak this and exercise daily--I want to get down to 145-148. I know I will be able to do it!! I will get psyched and am somewhat happy with where I am now-I can fit in all my clothes.

I want to be in the 140's because I have not been there since I was 16 yrs old. 150 was the LOWEST that I ever got--imagine that!!! So so close and just didn't do it!!!! Why didn't I do it???? Well, I want to do it and I am going to do it!! That is motivation from all of you gals!! June will be my month!

Good morning to all.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Had a great day yesterday and was down .4. Snail's pace, but I am okay with that because I am eating good food and staying on plan.
Plan on having steak today with salad.
Have a great day,
Hope

Hi everybody~ I'm sorry Michelle you are having such a hard time. It has only been a few days.

Yall I am so upset that I can't help anyone. I'm sorry. It worked for me and I dont understand why some struggle so hard. I'm sure in time yall will start melting.

Gona try carb kcals recycling. A new idea for me. I have never heard of it. Sounds a little like JUDDD, don't it. exercise must be included into this WOE. And it sounds like a healthy body building life lengthening WOE.

Kathy you are doing WONDERFUL! I am very happy you have found your sweet spot and I know you will do well for years to follow. Just follow your heart and all will be well. Best wishes for finding that baby bird. As sweet as you are I am sure you 2 will find each other.

Hi Annabel Lee
Hi Hope
Hi Kitty
Hi Marge
Hi Linda
Hi Connie
Hi everyone`

I will come back and peek in to say hello and check to see how much fluff you have kicked to the curb. Love you guys. And I will be here. I will always be on LCF

Saw my MD for a physical today and my BP is great, hoping my Hemoglobin A1c is better ... she's happy about the weight loss and encouraged me to continue. I have, however, been having a lot of leg cramps, so she's checking mineral levels.

Sometimes this WOE just surprises me ...

hi MaryL. Yes camping was great and exhausting too. We ended up having lots of visitors.

We did stick to Atkins 72, and it was very fun in that regard. I think i lost a couple pounds. Tomorrow will tell.

Since it allows some alchohol and it was the hubbies birthday camping trips we had some margaritas with all sugar free stuff. Probably would have lost alot more if we hadn't done that. But then we didn't care we just didn't want to gain....It was fun
