MaryL. I don't know what did it but the polish sausage did have 4 carbs. It could have been sugar

I think my jicama went bad....had brown patches in it and just didn't look right.

Yep, radishes are excellent in roasts! Never fried them though....not yet! DH wants french fries tonight, so going to make some jicama fries for me! Mmmmmmmmm!

I am going to start eating a salad every now and again. I enjoy them when they are in season. I make a dressing with Bragg Vinegar with the mother in it, and EVOO. I think it helps keep my B/S lower too.

I could not get any more Mac nuts. A little bittie jar almost 8 bucks! WOW t beats all I have seen! The Mac nuts were a lot lower 3 weeks ago! I will try to get some after the first. Seems like lots of things are after the first!

I have a lot of pecans. They are still in the shell. I need to find out how high in carbs they are! Well I am going to eat my CO candy slow. It is wonderful! Best I have made! And I am a chocoholic! Its got to be good for me to say that!:yu mmy:

2 things I have to be very, very careful with... nuts and sugar free candy. Both can lead me down a rabbit hole that is very difficult to get out of.

Do you have a hispanic market close by? The jicama I buy at the hispanic produce market is very fresh. Nice and smooth... not all lumpy and bumpy like the ones you find at the regular grocery store. When I was in Ohio (just 45 minutes from Pittsburgh) I would have to sometimes buy mine with mold already growing on it because that is all they had.

I was just down in Florida last week and I bought some at Publix. It was waxed for freshness.

Speaking of macadamia nuts. If you have a RiteAid close by, they have macs on sale this week 2/$9.00. One of the large pharmacy chains usually has them on sale but no one ever thinks to look there for them.

Today has been a good day for me. tonight a little birthday party for the grandbaby and no cake for me.

At least I don't have food pushers in my family. That can be rough. Oh, just one piece it won't hurt you,,,they say. Next thing you know that opens the cake portal to who knows where next

Hope everyone is being good. A couple of days ago i wasnt good. But the last couple of days I've been very good. Sad thing is I'm just trying to take back the land I lost with just a little feasting. 10 Days! OH my gosh! Please ask hubby to take laptop unless you think you are strong enough without it.

Are yall going to fish? I went back out today. My feet and legs are so swollen I feel like they are going to blow up! I had to take a pee pill. My hands are so tight I am a very unhappy camper.
NO fish today! They have a belly full of brush and bugs. Water going down but it may be a couple of weeks before fish are hungry enough to bite a hook!

I was bad today. I drank only one bottle of water.

OH we found a rod laying in the water today. It came from Bass Pro Shop! BRAND new laying in the water. The rod is so light the cork had it floating in the water!!
I feel so sorry for the person that lost it!
