Hello,
This is my first post. I had a hard time choosing my user name but I decided on 'Thin Inside' because the person I see in the mirror does not match how I feel inside. I've read a few of your posts and discovered we have a lot in common. I lost 35lbs in a month in 1999 and kept that off through one child but not with the next. He's nine now and has lost all his baby fat, now it's time for me to.

Everytime I try to go on Atkins now, I get stuck. Several places on the internet say that it is a one time wonder, and I had my one time already. But several of you are proving that wrong and I want to too.

I started this new WOE on Monday, April 9th. I am already starting to feel stuck. So here I am. I had .10 loss from yesterday. My keto strip is in the small, light pink. How do I get it purple?

Welcome thin!

My youngest baby will be 23 soon, and I've almost lost all my baby fat

Low Carb works! I've done it many times, and lost each time, but never stayed with it till this time. 2 years now! Have stayed within a reasonable area of my low weight even with thyroid hormonal issues. It needs to become a way of eating instead of just a diet. That is the difference this time for me. The support here has pulled me through my times of saying fitall...got me back to the good stuff!

Now, the sticks, I use them to see if I'm in or not, but you can't always rely on that. I can be in one moment, then out the next...watered down urine, less or more fat in diet, etc. don't let the sticks get to you. There are other signs of deep ketosis. The taste in the mouth is a big one for me. Hubby saying my breath stinks!

Sounds like you just hit the common post first big loss period "stall". During my loss, I'd hit these off and on. Have found that I needed to stick it out, and the losses would start again. In the past, these were times I'd be likely to quit...now I know that isn't an option.

Hang in there!

Hi Everybody~

It is wonderful to wake up and see ya'lls smiling faces and wonderful words.

Pinkswan It has been a time since I seen you! I am very happy to see you now! How are your kids doing? Every time I think about you, I remember you being so strong and stopping smoking!

Gibbs You will find your groove! Stick to your plan like glue and keep coming here for your friends support. We have all been where you are at. IT does restart and it is DOABLE!

Pat One of my GS was also born on Friday 13th. Yes it was a good lucky day for us when he was born. He turns 13 this August. Can I be a skinny millionaire with you? You weigh 170 now! Change your stats!
Can I come and sit by the sea with you? I don't have a Kindle. Will you tell us how the book turns out? I would love to hear what he has to say about no carbs!

shari Down 0.8 Well I am happy 4 you but I am still gona beat you! Shari you are 100% correct! Think Thin Become THIN! Has anyone heard about thinkin thin thoughts and becoming thin??? I did have it in my Siggy! I have and I believe in this strongly! I have a poster board that I glued my great pictures on that I love! I had it on a cabinet in the kitchen. It's packed up at the moment, BUT it helped me more than anything did!

THINK THIN THOUGHTS!

Hope I don't know why your post said it was too short. I do know if you are quoting someone that if you make a mistake and write in their post it will do that. I am so happy and glad to see you this morning. We R gona get-er done!

soontobesexy One pound up. It will go back. Like Linda Boca said, it will go back and forth then it will settle and show you a friendly smile back at each permanent pound loss! See you Monday!

Pam It is great t see you today! Keep working and soon you will be a happy camper!

Kitty I don't Facebook. I picked up a bug once and it burned me from FB!
I don't have a anti on my computer right now. I am not going away from LCF forum so I am not too worried about the protection. I know LCF has my back!
Who is Jimmy Moore? You working on your pool yet?

Linda Boca OKdokie and its great to see you back here! I hope you will stay and take the challenge with us!

Thanks for the sweet thought for my mama. Miss her sooooooo much! Her name is, was Doris Louise. She was named after Doris Day.

That was waaaayyyyy back in September 1994 when I quit. So glad I did too.

My oldest is probably fine. Haven't heard from him for a couple of days but he is married and that is to be expected. They were talking about taking a trip to somewhere warm and sunny so maybe they have gone.

My youngest is still hanging around the house and not wanting to do much of anything except surfing the internet day and night. *sigh* Nothing bad because I monitor but I wish he would find SOMETHING to do with himself....can't live with mommy forever I keep telling him. My last resort might have to be remove the internet for a while which, if we get our housing transfer I will do. LOL

Thanks for the encouragement. I do remember that taste in my mouth. I’ll look for it with more eagerness.

It’s Time
Thanks for the welcome. I always feel much better lowcarb. Why can't I remember that when I'm sticking that ice cream in my mouth? I think trying to beat someone is a great idea. I’ll have to pick someone.

Mary Louise
I was encouraged by your first post and kept reading then I joined the forum. I thought you all were so encouraging and I really need that. This is my last time too, I’ll pick up that list and add my name!! Where is the list?

My scale is about 70 lbs off, Oh I hope it is just 70. It says I weigh 117.4. My sweet dear hubby went out to buy a new scale, when he gets home I'll weigh in and we will see. But even if it's more, I won't get discouraged because I have all of you now. I have learned over the past year that I need support from people who are actively on the same WOE I'm on.

Don't worry about the scale. I don't even own one. I go by how my clothes feel on me and what my tape measure says.

Yea I do remember you telling me it had been awhile since you stopped smoking. Seem s like you said you had to move and didn't have a cover to smoke under. And one of your sons had breathing problem.

The youngest will leave the nest. Tons of kids are having to stay home because of lack of jobs and such. Life passes so fast love each day he is still home. I have a grand son that is still living with his mom. He turned 20 this past Feb. He doesn't care for the internet too much. Was going to college to become music teacher. All the GK's are into music. Get it from their grandpa. When they all get together and sing and play it is my piece of Heaven on earth!

Yes we had moved from a 2 bedroom townhouse into a 3 bedroom so my boys could each have thier own room. I miss that place. I kick myself daily for moving from there.

My youngest won't even go out and look for a job and we live next door to a mall. He gave up on college because of the long commute by bus so until we get back into the area I want to get back to I guess he will just sit at home.
I hope it does not take forever to get our housing transfer. I would like to be out of this apt before Christmas and back in familiar territory.

Music is great eh. I just love it myself.

I hope it does not take forever to get our housing transfer. I would like to be out of this apt before Christmas and back in familiar territory.

Music is great eh. I just love it myself.
Wow! we were lucky

....I guess our kids are too driven to work. Have had to advise them at times that a third job is not always a good thing! Yikes! DD drove An hour to college after she got up to go to work in wee hours of the morning to "bake the donuts". She refused to take money for her college....want to go hug them all now!

Hoping your son finds the motivation soon...for all of your sakes. Like the no Internet idea, though that would affect you too
