Revolution Rolls
Ok....as some of you may have read.....new to the 72 version....am down 3.2 lbs since Saturday.....after a 6 week stall on DANDR induction. So obviously I'm psyched.
Read through 72 again.....very curious about revolution rolls. Anyone make these? Anyone stall from these? Why are they ok if they have cottage cheese? Sorry.....just confused and scared to try. |

Make sure to let them sit in the fridge overnight. They are TERRIBLE right out of the oven. There is a variation of these called oopsies/floopsies. Do a board search for all kinds of things to do with these. However, I will say that 72 works because it is plain and simple. Tread lightly with the treats. |

I'm on 72 and eat oopsie rolls all the time. No stalls. Here's the recipe:
6 egg whites 4 egg yolks 1/4 tsp cream of tarter 3 oz cream cheese (room temp- very important) Mix the egg whites with a mixer until stiff (takes several minutes). You will know they are still enough when you turn the bowl sideways and the egg whites don't move. Mix the egg yolks, tarter and cream cheese together. Then fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites being very careful to just mix enough, but not to over mix. Spread on a greased cookie sheet. Put enough mixture on there because if you don't they will burn. I spread it like the size of a piece of sandwich bread. Bake 325 for 15 minutes or until golden brown. When you take them out of the oven, go ahead and loosen them from the cookie sheet but let cool. Put in fridge overnight~ don't eat right away, they are nasty.

You probably won't find many who use mayo. Soft cheeses are not something my body likes so I stay away when trying to lose. Honestly, I notice very little difference when making them with mayo but this is an easy recipe so I would try it both ways so you can compare.
I believe I have seen people say they used sour cream as well. |

Never branched out and tried it with mayo or the sour cream. Since it takes a few minutes to prepare, don't want to go through the trouble of having something flop.

I've made them with the mayo, and they turned out just fine, although this was only my 2nd attempt at making them. I added shredded cheddar to the top of the "mounds" prior to baking them, and I added a pinch of onion powder to the egg yolk/mayo mixture prior to folding it into the egg whites. They baked beautifully!

Never thought to use the onion powder or garlic to them. Gotta try that and also some cheese.

I have cooked with both mayo and cream cheese, they are both tasty and but I think I prefer the cream cheese.
I usually eat them out of the oven or toasted for a sandwich/burger or even to make french toast they are awesome. But you do need to keep in fridge in a ziploc bag for freshness, IMHO. There are tons of things you can do with them, I have made mini pizzas, added unsweetened cocoa to my batter for chocolate rev rolls, add cinnamon, fresh herbs, you can definitely play with them! Good luck! I love Atkins 72 clearly if you can't lose on DANDR your CCLL is lower than that! Thank goodness you figured it out.
