Trader Joe's frying cheese

Erica had mentioned that she found frying cheese at Trader Joe's. I thought I'd share this page that TJ's sent me in an email about how to use the cheese. I think many of these ideas would be easily adapted to our WOE! Click and enjoy!

That savory recipe sounds really good. I will get some on my next TJ trip. Anyone who has already bought it, can you post a picture of the package?

I'm fortunate enough to have a TJ's more or less next door to my church, so I make a regular Sunday stop there (at both places ). I'm going to look for the cheese today, and if I find it, I'll post a pic.

I bought some, and had a bit this afternoon for a snack. I cut 2 ounces into small cubes and microwaved it on a plate. Topped it with a teaspoon of pizza sauce. It was yum!

(I found it in the regular refrigerated cheese section. It's easy to spot--it's in clear plastic packaging, like all the cheese, but it is brown and bubbled on top, so it looks a bit different. Also, because it's a new product, you'll find it displayed pretty prominently.)

Was it called "Frying Cheese"?

Yes.

I'd like to try it with sugar free syrup, as a pancake. I think it would be delish. But I'm not quite ready to add artificial sweeteners back in, so I won't do that with this round.

Thanks Verb. I think the pizza idea sounds delish. I will get some on Friday.

Hopefully my TJ's stocks it and its not just a west coast item!

They put a big plug for it in their most recent Fearless Flyer, plus sent out that email. I think they're promoting it pretty hard. Course, I don't know if that's everywhere or just here. Good luck!

Thanks for saying what the packaging looks like. I looked for it on Sunday and couldn't find it at my TJ's. I'll go back next weekend. I'm so lucky to have one less than a mile from my house.

I'm really surprised they wouldn't have had it, after all the hype! Next time you go in, ask where it is!

I got some on Wednesday.

I microwaved small cubes then topped with TJ's bruchetta. Its a very tasty snack. I will play around with it more over the weekend.

I really enjoyed it a lot. Sounds great with the bruschetta!

I figure I won't buy it again for a week or two--cheese is something I can overdo easily, so I'm going to pace myself.
