Fat Fast Diet

I'm new here and I'd like to know is anyone doing this diet? I have alot of questions on what you can have and how long you can stay on it. Also has anyone ever stalled on the weight loss on this?
Thanx

As I recall, and it's been years since I read DANDR, the fat fast is a way to break a stall (characterized by Dr. A as four weeks or longer of NEITHER pounds NOR inches lost.) It's only for severe cases. You stay on it 3 days max, I think.

I think you eat 1000 calories a day, broken into five meals of 200 calories, made up of foods that are 90% fat, such as egg yolks mashed with mayonnaise, cream cheese, macadamia nuts and other mostly fat foods.

That's a very rough sketch. Please look it up in the book and make sure you understand it before you try it.

Stats: 164/155.8/140 - 5' 7.5"
WOE: Atkins
Start Date: 1/2/09
I just did this this past weekend.
I ate cream cheese, brie, pate, and a deviled egg. 1000 (or close to it) a day.

Saturday morning I weighed 157.9 and this morning I weighed 156.8, which is a total loss of 1.1. I just started doing some weights so I may be holding on to some water, but I am not overwhelmed by the results. My goal, at 5'7.5" is 140.

Although I thought about food a lot, I honestly wasn't hungry, like I very often am on my VLC usual woe (usually no more than 10 carbs, often less). I didn't feel weak or cranky, but I am very concerned that now that I am back on my regular plan, I'll gain it all back.

I have been having very poor luck losing this time, so I keep plugging along, losing, then gaining. Since 1/2/09, (almost 7 months) I have a net loss of 7.2 pounds.

Man, that is tough. I commend you for staying with it. Do you think that you are maybe extremely metabolically resistant, or is it because you're quite close to goal?

At any rate, I'm going to quit whining about going a few days with no loss.

Jessica,
I stick with it cuz I'm a stubborn Yankee And probably both of the things you mentioned. I wasn't resisitant when I lost 15 pounds on Atkins in 2004. However, I was exercising every day....I was out of work!!

Also, this woe works for me and I usually don't feel deprived. I have had many off days because of social stuff so that is partially the reason why. Also, I haven't been exercising. That said, I STILL think I am losing too slowly. For example, I have been absolutely clean for 2 weeks, VLC and have lost about 3 pounds, and THAT is after a 5 pound GAIN for not a REAL good reason.

Just to update-I gained back .5 of the 1.1 I lost after a day of very low carb and less than 1500 calories. I am losing so slowly, it is very discouraging.

I guess the FF works if you have more weight to lose than I? For me, it doesn't seem to be worth it, since my net loss for the week is a pound.
