Does anyone have this book?

If so, can you tell me if it's the 1972 version as listed in the pinned section?

eBay - item #270427427338

Thanks,

Hi, Kaimi2008-

I looked at the eBay photo, and it is in better condition and the writing on the spine looks just like the book I got through Amazon last year for $10.00+. (mine says "Tenth Printing" Feb '73)

It is a treasure.

Wishing you the best--Debbie

hi, i have the 1972 version of the Atkins book. going by the picture they are showing in the auction, the only difference is the book in the picture has "American Consumer, Inc. Special Mail Order Edition" printed on the spine.

the only other way to confirm would be to ask for a picture of the page with the copyright date.

Hello again,

That is the quote inside the book I have on the title page.

I worked in a bookstore and researched this book before buying it online--publishing was different and slower back then, multiple publishers for identical editions, not so many quick revisions, no ISBN #s, only a Library of Congress Card Catalog Number: For the book I own it is 72-75458 following the colon.

I'd bet $1.50 plus shipping that it is the "Atkins 72" that we are all talking about.

Take care! Debbie

I just got the book from Ebay. Mine has a dust cover with a very young looking Dr. Atkins and it says "Third printing November 1972". The color of the actual book inside the dust cover is exactly like the picture posted. I've read the book so many times, but I just wanted it for my collection.
