I don't generally get the "carb flu" at all. I do sometimes get violent leg cramps, so I take a mineral supplement, which helps. I also get sleep disurbances--having trouble dropping off, waking during the night, etc.

Happy Induction Meee!

I started on 7/20, and finally registered so I can post on the forum--it is such a help!

How is your induction? Let us know!... I am in the eat-a-whole-lot stage... 3rd day... My thing to plan for is that I eat more fat than I would ever expect. That is to prevent the excess protein (>100g) from slowing things up. Take vitamins + B vitamins--helps us get off caffeine and carbs. I don't weigh every day, either, but may when I start to lose.

And remember if you follow this thing--you will lose your appetite! Yay! I did Atkins 72 exactly in Dec. and got perfect benefits for a month+...then totally fell off--worked in a convenience store, claimed "emotions". I also did the DANDR years ago, as a lifestyle for years, but I got carb-creep and eventually just slacked and craved. I need the <20 for my normal life, I think. I hate craving!

Wishing you the best! Debbie

Began Induction on 7/20

I actually had already done one week of Induction on the new version and lost 4 lbs. Atkins 72 just suits me better so I switched over. Haven't started showing a loss yet.. well could have lost a lb.. I don't have digital scales. I feel great.. satisfied, never hungry, no cravings.

I've heard several mention that too much protein can actually cause a stall or slow things down so what is a good percentage of fat, protein, carbs to shoot for daily? How much is too much protein? Sounds like if I increase protein then I need to make sure I increase fat.. is this correct?
