Dont feel well and moody

Is it normal the first few days to not feel so well and be extremly moody?? I assume its the bodys way of adjusting or looking for CARBS... anyway anyone that can shed some light it is appreciated.

I was very moody when I first started out. I am a bit of a different low carber where as I don't eat meat so it may not be totally the same thing but I did see a difference def in my mood lol and so did my friends :P

I can give you some tips that helped for me personally that may make it a bit easier for you

When I feel like I am either getting a bit light headed, annoyed or what not I will either have a teaspoon of low carb peanut butter (eat it very slow lol), 2 table spoons of cool whip (can you believe only 2 carbs!), a sugarfree jello pudding cup or a diet pepsi. I am sure I have more tricks up my sleeve but this is all I can think of at the moment. Now as I said before these work for me personally. Some people are alot more sensitive then I and this could stall your weight loss. I lose on average 1 to 2 pounds a week through this way of eating and mild excercise. So your mileage may def vary

I hope this does help a bit though. Keep on keeping on. It only gets easier and you are going to start feeling a whole lot better very soon

Thank you... I do remember the last time I was doing the Low Carb lifestyle that if you can get through the fourth or fifth day your body starts to adjust and realize it doesnt need the carbs. Thank you for this tip as I am only on day three and needed some pointers. Take care!

They call it the carb flu, and it should pass by the end of your first week, and you'll begin to have increased energy levels and may even find you need a good bit less sleep.

Stick it out and don't give up. Drink plenty of fluids and eat plenty of fats. I'd avoid nuts, as they are not allowed on induction, and I personally believe the fewer artificial sweeteners, the better. That's for me though. Men can get away with a lot of things us middle-aged ladies cannot!

For some, it's a real bear when the body is trying to make the switch from burning glucose for energy to burning fat. Once the change is made, the cravings stop, the energy level increases (since we have a constant supply of fat to burn), and blood lipid panels start to improve. When I get to the point that I'm going to turn into a tower sniper if I don't have something sweet, I put some heavy cream in a diet soda. That takes the edge off. Or I make an iced coffee with the cream and use Fiber Fit to sweeten it. Artificial sweeteners don't bother me.

Have you read the book? If you have read the Atkins book , you should know all about induction flu.

Glad you liked it. Try whipping some cream and adding a bit of sugar-free Jell-O to taste. Also good.
