Still Don't Have Book - And Have Questions

When I can I add flax in after induction? What about nuts (almond milk)?

I think the book was sent via slow boat, because I ordered on the 18th and its still not here.

Looking in the DANDR book, can't find anything about flax...I'll keep looking. "but now, in OWL (ongoing weight loss) if you are continuing to lose steadily, you can add a few nuts" He says that the should be kept to a small amount as they are easy to overeat. Yep! True for me LOL

I know in DANDR, I can put in a bit of flax to help with being regular - that's my big concern. But in Atkins '72, it looks like he recommends a gentle laxitive.

I may break the '72 plan to get the flax in because laxitives don't like me at all.

I'm using Citrucel and it works great. It comes in pill form. I didn't "trust" the other ones that were liquid. Seems they all had sweeteners in them.

I believe you can have 2T of flax on induction, but Im not sure if that is 72 or the later plan. I reinducted to lose some after being on maintenance for a year, and have 1/2 flax muffin every day to keep regular. So far Ive lost 7 pounds in 9 days. And when I have constipation problems I use Milk of Magnesia tablets at bedtime, 2-3, which are natural and work well. Then when I added in more fiber, I didn't need them anymore so stopped.

I would be very careful with nuts as they contributed to my weight gain over a 6 month period.
They are very hard to control in terms of portion size and calories!
