Tommie, now I'll be worried about them making it! I was trying to carefully pour a little water around the edge of the plant when I thought, hmmm, better check to see what's going on in there... that's when I noticed them.

How's the carport enclosure coming along? I wish I could do that with my garage but with me not working there is no way. I have plenty of equity, but don't want to add to my debt under these circumstances. Prolly a good thing cuz of course I'd have to do new cabinets, countertops, and of course, high end appliances... will have to live with what I got for now!

I'm kinda in the same mood today... don't really feel like doing anything. Sure as heck would NOT want to be at work for sure!!

Mary....Congrats on your baby birds!! I had a nest under my carport I think they were WRENS....not sure and thats probably not spelled right. But when we started working on the carport they abandoned the nest.

I'm sooo ready to go home!! UGHHhhh!!! I'm just plain tired today. And its sooo humid!! I still have no clue what to take to mom's tomorrow!!

My carpenter aka my BIL has showed up twice in the last 6 weeks!! For a total of about 1 hour tops!! GRRRR But he has kids graduating and playing ball so I know he will be busy until school is out. Which is this week!! Maybe after that he will have more time. He works full time and is planning on doing it of an evening and on the weekend. Keep your fingers crossed!!

I'm sure your birds are fine. All that hammering ran mine off!! We did tear out the closet that was under the carport.

Well girls...I'm gonna try to go home!!

Happy Mothers Day everyone!!!

Okay... I'm probably talking to myself tonight but oh well..

I just peeked in at my little bird babies ... I knew I would start worrying over these babies now that they've hatched. Anyway, when I peeked in this time you could see three little mouths just wide open waiting for dinner! How precious!!

Had a boatload of roasted veggies tonight for dinner - even tho this isn't exactly the time of year for oven work - but ... I have gotten a bit addicted. This time I did broccoli, green beans and asparagus with just olive oil and salt, with a piece of salmon added in for good measure.

Okay being one who is ready to stimulate the economy I wanted to know where my check is!!! Thought I would pass this info on in case anybody else is interested. If anybody is around that is!

Funny thing, we bought that pony on Mother's Day (my mom, who was decidedly NOT a horse person then, thought there was a bitter irony in that) in 1978. So, exactly 30 years ago tomorrow is when I got my first pony! She was a 10.2 1/2 hand sorrel pinto pony that we bought out of a backyard in Troy (another unlikely place to find a horse). She cost $200 with her little saddle and a pony cart. My dad gave a deposit and two weeks later we picked her up--get this--in a U-Haul trailer! Hahaha!

I have a little bay pinto stallion now who is a couple inches shorter than her. They would have made some really cute kids. Too bad their lifetimes were about 25 years apart!
That is too funny...I have heard (and this is NOT me, I am not into minis!) who have trranported mini's in their back seats! My aunt lived in what is now Westland...pure suberia now, but not back then. Had to have been late 60's, early 70's. I just want one Haflinger and a mini Donkey to keep him/her company...

Brandi, I'm afraid that I'm in the 2 pound club with you. And none of mine left in the toiled either!!!! Well Monday is my "official" weigh in but I got on the scale today and instead of a loss this week, I am up two pounds. I'm not surprised because ever since I added in the walking, I have been retaining water. Anybody know why that is and how long that will last??? Makes me not want to exercise that's for sure. I'm drinking plenty of water, but I can see the puffiness in my face and it's been with me since the last week of April when I started back to the treadmill. I was fine and losing before adding in the exercise. Boy, that's encouraging to keep exercising... NOT!!
I told you that exercise is evil!!!!!

Minis technically are under 40 inches, or 38 for the other registry. So my guy is technically a pony.

I went to an auction (the Marion Livestock Sale...used to be a monthly girls night out ) with someone who bought a mini stallion. She loaded him into her two horse trailer and on the way home, we saw that he had climbed up into the manger and rode all the way back standing with his full body in the viewing window. He may have been a goat.

A goat keeps almost as good a company as a donk

I LOVE fish...We ate at a local golf club last night and they had Louisiana redfish (fried) and rice and beans as the side. I was in Southern Fried Heaven! NOT low carb, but man was it good!

I LOVE FISH!!!! When DH goes shrimping with his daddy, I expect him to come home with some fresh fish too. You just can't beat fresh - nothing like that old frozen crap the stores have. My favorite is speckled trout.

I wish my DH would do laundry.. but he would ruin EVERYTHING. He washes everything together, never checks the temp or the water levels first, gets big detergent spots all over his clothes from pouring it on top of the clothes without enuf water.. it's a total disaster!
WE have the best Lake Michigan Whitefish around here...the fresher the better...

Morning Ing...Guess we are the only two up. Never thought a bout a goat. My old horse trainer bought a mini donkey who also came with a cart. She broke him to drive that little cart...it was so cute.

Darn it.. I missed the early conversation this morning.

Yeah, Tommie mentioned yesterday they had tornado warnings again. Our weather down south looks threatening today too. Missed the weatherman last night but sure looked like rain is a comin' when I did my morning walkabout! Saw my turtle cruising across the lawn so he's still hanging around.

I still gotta squeeze in 2 miles on my treadmill sometime today to meet my goal. Or, maybe not huh Kathy??! I swear if I'da known that my scale was gonna go up and I was gonna retain water, I sure would NOT have started exercising until AFTER I hit onederland for sure! Oh well.... I sure hope that my muscle tissues hurry up and make their adjustments! I don't know why my body does this ... instead of sweating my body likes to hold onto excess moisture like a sponge, and now the exercise is making that worse???!!!!!

Ing, maybe you are also retaining water for some reason??? You have been eating well so it's gotta be fluids I would think?? Still, it's frustrating to see the scale go UP!!!

Well ladies... looks like the sun is trying to shine out there, so maybe it'll be a pretty day afterall!

Ya'll have a wonderful Sunday and Happy Mother's Day to all you mama's out there! I'm off to get ready to go see my MIL and later today, my son and grandson. BBL!

HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY LOSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

I hope that the weather starts to shine for all of us! In California, it is gray, cold and overcast. It usually burns off, but it is unusually cold for May.

So I blew induction..........not real bad though and I am still down 6 lbs since Monday.
At the movies, I had less than a cup of popcorn just a couple of handfuls.........and some m&m's.........so...... not horrid, but still not good.

Starting again........who's with me!!!!
