Good morning!I forgot about the new thread. I was wondering why nobody was posting on the other one. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine wasn't too bad. I cheated a little but I'm back on track today. I forgot Easter was this weekend. Wonder why it's in March this year? I better get out sometime this week to get a turkey. Then I won't have to shop on the weekend. What are you all having with your turkey? I have no idea what to make. I will be doing a LC cheesecake for desert, but I don't know about dinner yet.

Fed Ex!!
I have no clue, I forgot it was this weekend already! I may do the torte and the raspberry almond crumb cake. But I gotta have it with Shala's coffee! I am hooked on that! Yesterday I had to pick my sister and her boyfriend up from the mall, he had locked his keys in his truck. So I had to take them all the way back to his house and on the way back I said to them that I could go for some coffee. They offered to buy me some at this really good coffee shop near their house, but all I kept thinking of was Shala's coffee! How goofy!! They said well this is really good coffee they put all kind of things in it. I said well I got stuff to make good coffee too. And they just wouldn't let up. All I kept thinking of my chocolate coffee!!! ![]() ![]() Hi Kim!!!! No turkey for us, I think it's ham and whatever else lc I can think of!

Kim, I am kinda sick of ham so we will be doing a turkey too. I was going to make LS's just like stuffed baked potatoes tonight but I think I will save it for Easter now. If I find the Lindt bar I will make that torte for dessert. NOt sure what else. Any other ideas?
Diana, I have been drinking Ornagic Tazo Chi flavored tea w/1 tsp heavy cream and english toffee flavored liquid stevia lately. |

Can't you get the Lindt bar at WalMart? Even here they sell it; it's displayed with the candy and chocolates. That torte sounds good too. Maybe I'll do that instead of my cheesecake.
I don't remember seeing the stuffed baked potatoes on LS site, I'll have to check it out. If not, it'll probably be faux mashed potatoes. Has anyone tried them yet? Definitely having asparagus as the veggie. All the kids like it sauteed in butter and garlic. We usually do green stuff for the kids as well but there's not much I can do to convert it to semi-LC. Maybe someone here can help: Green Stuff 500 ml plain yogurt 500 ml whip cream (I'll make my own) 1 pkg pistachio pudding mix 1 can crushed pineapple. Mix and let sit for a few hours, then serve. |

I used to make the mock mashed potatoes all the time and still do ponce in a while but I like the other WAY better.

I keep forgetting that ham has alot of sodium. My mom usually gets ham. We have never done turkey for Easter, everyone in my family are turkied out from Thanksgiving.
Sometimes we do steaks or beef ribs, depends on what everyone has a taste for. Me, I love doing brunch. I love bacon, faux potatoes, egg bakes, asparagus (Kim your way of cooking it sounds good!!) and other stuff. I love breakfast, I could eat that for each meal. |

Actually...that might be a good idea. My kids are not big ham nor veggie eaters. I was thinking abut grilling, but i heard the "s" word might be around this weekend. That's SNOW for all you southerners.

There is a line (mother to son) in the movie Juno that goes something like "We're having breakfast for dinner. That's always been your favorite". My kids used to love breakfast for dinner!

They love those breakfast casseroles with the bread base, which is really just a quiche with bread inside and no crust.

Oh yeah, those are great too!!
For mothers day or for my moms birthday, since she was a breakfast person, I would make champagne brunches for her and we'd make mimosa's and have that with our food! Oh how I miss those!!! |

Hey everybody... boy have I been the grump today.
EVERYTHING is annoying me! I didn't even go to my class this morning - just turned off the alarm, covered my head and rolled over!! I have a lot of financial, insurance and tax stuff I have been putting off so I guess I'm mad at myself for procrastinating. Not to mention my allergies have my sinuses fired up big time - I feel like my head is in a fish bowl!!! Kathy I'll bet you know exactly what I mean.Speaking of sons... I hardly ever hear from mine, unless I call him, leave a voicemail and he gets around to calling me back. What happened to that little boy who used to love me so much?? Those of you who have daughters are so lucky... I need to call him to see what they are doing for Easter since I'm not sure what is going on for Easter with us. I'm sure DS and DIL have plans with her family as usual, and we'll probably go and spend time with DH's mother since FIL is overseas. Course I want to see my grandbaby in there somewhere though he's still too young to even know what Easter is yet.Kathy I can't believe ya'll are still dealing with snow! I thought of you yesterday as I was standing outside chatting with a neighbor and the dang bugs were about to carry me off!! Boy they were BAD!! Are they that bad up north? I love breakfast anytime! And, I guess I'm still doing Atkins today since I had bacon and eggs scrambled in butter for breakfast. First time I've had pork bacon in awhile... it really IS salty isn't it?! But delicious!! Not sure what I'm doing for dinner tonight. Too grouchy to think about it... but got plenty of carby stuff to feed DH so I'm not worrying about what to eat really. I can always find something.I see Shala hasn't reported in yet. Hope they made it home okay???

Mary - You're entitled to a grumpy day now and then...
Yes, I do thank God for my girls, but they have their own issues. Maybe it's just the twin thing, but I can't say something to one without the other hearing about it not 2 minutes later! I used to be sooooo close to my sons, and I am glad they are independent, but sheesh...just a little call or visit now and then...is that too much to ask?We have bugs, but NOT like down there! I know spring is coming because my nose is running like crazy! I just hate to be medicated. |

Hey Kathy ... oh I so hate being grumpy... seems like I have more of those days here lately for some reason!
![]() I just called my son and you are so right... it's like pulling teeth to get anything more than a one syllable response out of them, isn't it?? I'm sure it's the twin thing with your girls. I've worked with a twin before and it's like they sense when something is going on with the other, without even talking to them!! Sometimes it must almost seem like they are one person to you!My sinuses and my respiratory system are going crazy today... OTC meds aren't really helping anyway, but I've got lots to do in the house today anyway so I get to take a break from the outside again. I wish you could see the leaves that have fallen since two days ago. It's as if we never touched the yard!! One good thing is it is windy so maybe that'll knock most of them down. Maybe I'll get back to it in a day or two. ![]() |

We've had wind here to and my nose has been running like a faucet! When I wake up, I don't stop blowing my nose until I'm dressed for work which is about 2 hours!
Right now I'm having Shala's coffee! I ran out of mocha splenda so I ran to the store to get some just now. Doesn't taste the same without it. This coffee really cures the cravings I have for something sweet! Thank you Shala!!! ![]() |

Oh yeah Diana, I love my version of Shala's which is kinda close... wish I could find all the "right" elements, but I'll bet its really good. I wonder why our WM doesn't carry the Splenda Flavors but next time I go I'm gonna corner the manager and ask him to order some dang it!!
Yeah, where is Shala.... I'm starting to get worried about her! She was going somewhere for the weekend with the kids right? Looks like I'm in good company with the allergies. I finally gave up on the tissue box and just brought a whole roll of toilet paper in the office to keep right by me!! ![]() |
