Tried an experiment

I bought some sugar free (with sugar alcohol) candy. I had one earlier today, and I'm still in ketosis. I am taking them on my vacation next month in case of emergency I was a little surprised that it didn't knock me out of ketosis. I know one thing, that I might be needing to move on to OWL. I want to be able to learn new habits, and learn to prepare the recipes I'll be eating the rest of my life

I have to stay far away from SAs. One bite, and I'm miserable. Glad it didn't knock you out of ketosis.

They can make you have intsestinal distress... so be careful not to eat too many at once on your trip! If you do, make sure you're near a bathroom at all times!

I wouldn't call it looseness so much as greasy, uncomfortable, gassy poops. It's definitely not a good thing, at least in my experience.

Now that was TMI.

I can't leave the house for hours if I even have two or three small pieces of SF candy. And such pain....not worth it for me.

Sounds like you are one of the fortunate ones that can eat SF candy without any problems.

I had a couple of those russel stover peanut butter cups a couple weeks ago and I was loose for 3 days,TMI, I know. I bought some of the snl hard candies in coffee flavors, got them at dollar tree I can eat 3-4 of those with no problem, the hazelnut one tastes like popcorn.

SA never knocked me out of ketosis before, but it does stall my weight loss for a 3-4 days if I have too much. PLus the whole gas/stomach pain thing isn't worth it for me.
