I'm jealous! I wish I had a garden! I absolutely love flowers!! And just being outdoors in general.
I'm bummed lately with my diet. I've been sticking to low carbs and all, but I feel bloated lately. And I know you're not suppose to weigh yourself everyday, but I have been, and within the last few days I keep fluctuating 2 pounds. From 150-152. Its not a huuge deal, but I would just like to get in the 140's soon. I started taking fiber tablets Saturday, so I don't know if maybe because there's sugar in there it has stalled me? Or maybe because I've been drinking a lot of diet soda in the last 3 days. I'm gonna eliminate the fiber tablets and limit my soda and see what happens... |

Good morning!
Jilly, your weight flutuates daily and can go up and down for a variety of reasons. The fiber could have sugar, and also bloat you some. Do you keep track of your food on fitday? That also helps. You can get indoor flowers! Bella |

Very true! I should do that. I was just reading about how putting a plant on your work desk can increase your productivity.
![]() As for the bloating and stuff, I just found out why. TOM arrived early. Blahhh. Sometimes I hate being a woman. But I'm still gonna do w/o the fiber tabs and with less soda etc. Haha, I prob just need to work on my patience. But I have a big event at the end of May that I'm overly excited about. |

Gilly, I am bummed about my wieght too. I just checked Fitday and up to this point I am at: Calories 466 Fat 32 Carbs 4 protein 37 I need to eat at least 834 calories before 7:00 tonight. I also was on the ellipitical for 30 mins, the treadmil for 10, and 25 mins of weights. Still nothing. No weight loss, no inches gone. Just don't understand. ![]() |

Ixtapacheryl & everyone,
Sorry for the late reply because I have been working. Yes, I am a nurse and I work 3 12 hour shifts 6p to 6a. This is great because it gives me some time off during the week to get things done. On the other hand it is also bad because it really messes up your metabolism and your sleep. It is difficult to get a regular schedule for your meds & diet. As for the progress pics & clothes I am just trying to get back down into clothes that I could wear last summer or year before. I had lost a lot of weight which I have regained. Sigh.... Good news to report. I was carrying some water weight from my surgery 2 wk ago so I have lost 7# since Monday. YEAH!!! We go on vacation 3rd wk of June & I would love to be down another 20 by then. Good luck to everyone! |

For you having bathroom problems, try Yerba Mate Tea. They sell it at health food stores and believe me, it will make you RUN for the bathroom. Just don't drink more than one cup a day. I remember reading about a young woman who drank several cups of a dieter's tea a day and she died from it. I think it would really mess up your electrolytes and cause dehydration.

Does the yerba mate make your stomach cramp? I had problems with the bathroom thing even before I started the low carb. I had a very productive day. Cleaned out both my closets, my chest of drawers & my sock drawer. Masses amounts of clothes to give to the church for yardsale.
Weight today was about the same but I am good and purple on my keto sticks. Yeah!!!! ![]() |

Hi All
I have been so busy. Started a housecleaning business plus started to sell avon 4 campaigns ago. I am tired . Worked all day today and yesterday. Got more to do tomorrow for avon. Doing LC and loving it. Not sure if I am losing, but I know I feel great eating lc. Weighed at dds on Tus, my weigh in day. She had to go to the hospital with gall bladder attack so I had to stay there to sit, so I am not sure if weight was correct, down a pound. too many pork rinds yesterday. BUT still lcing. Night all.

I've tried that super dieter's tea a long time ago when I was trying to get thinner for prom. boooo!!! I will never do it again! I only made ONE cup w/one teabag and I was almost in tears from the cramps being sooo bad!! I didnt even lose weight from it either. But maybe my stomach is just overly sensitive... I don't know.

Good afternoon
I have major problems in the bathroom area anyway and regularly take lax. so I might try the tea (again) to see if it will help.
Weight today 208 I really really want to get down to 190 before third week of June. I know that the weight loss will slow so I am trying to ride the wave for now. I was jonesing for a carb fix last night so I ate about a tbsp of peanut butter. I am also trying to just increase my daily activity. Increased housework etc. What kind of ab video do you do Gillygirl? Amy |

I take 2 caplets of Milk of Magnesia at bedtime and it works the next morning. Easy and no stalling from adding large amounts of fiber.
Im down 50 lbs this morning with 10 to goal now. Im feeling pretty chipper! Bella |

Congrats Bella!!!!
Interesting! I'm heading to the Vitamin Shoppe today I think to pick up some vitamins and such. My friend recommended Biotin, because she said its made her friend's hair nice and cleared up her skin. But I also hear Coconut oil does the same thing and I hear other LC'ers talkin bout it on the boards. I may try that instead. And now I'm lookin at this Milk of Magnesia... ![]() As for the ab video - haha, I use this old Kathy Ireland tape. It looks real 80s ish. But its a real cheap dvd/vhs, its called Body Specifics. I wish I used it more often. I've stopped just because I had to move out of my apartment and haven't figured out a good work out space. I have boxes everywhere. But it is a really good video. I generally just do the abs part. I did it everyday for 2 weeks and could definitely feel/see the difference. Which is why I hope to start it again very soon. I keep telling myself May 1st I'll get back on track with that. Also, after all my whining about the scale not going down this week, it finally has. TOM is starting to leave... so hopefully once it does, I'll be down more. My official weigh-in is Monday. So I'll see what happens then! |

Ive found the MoM works like a charm. I was really freaked out about 2 weeks into the plan when I became constipated- a first for me! I tried the dieters tea which worked once but was extreme, fiber which only bloated me. I heard that MoM is quite safe and can be taken long term. I am down to 1 at bedtime now, but I would recommend 2-3 at first if you are blocked up. 4 is a full dose. Good luck!

Second day of coconut oil and that's helped already too (w/bathroom problems that is). I haven't really lost any weight this week I don't think. Again, I'm fluctuating 2 pounds all the time. Aghh... I'll see what happens tomorrow w/weigh-in.

Last year while losing weight my mom took me to a chinese restaurant and I just selected legal american food. No problem at all. Can you see the menu before you go?

Bella, I ask for stir fried beef and broccoli and ask them to not use the sauce on it. You could go chicken and broccoli or stir fry beef and peppers. They won't mind not using the sauce because they make everything from fresh.
Most Chinese restaurants also have a bar where you can select your own food or some even have a Mongolian grill when you pick your ingredients and they cook it for you however you want it. Peony |

Ahh! Weigh-in day for me and I haven't lost any weight since last week. It's incredibly frustrating because I've been eating all meats, eggs, and cheese. Haven't cheated, drinking lots of water, and have kept my carb count well under 10 grams/day. All I can hope is that it was from TOM. But ahh!! Just a lil disappointed.

Good morning!
Gilly you might try weighing again tomorrow or Wed- I have found that when I set my weigh in day for one day a week and dont make my goal (which happened a few weeks ago I was bummed!). But then the next 3 days I lost 4 pounds after that! So....you also might want to watch how much cheese you are eating. Are you using fitday? Im down a pound and now 159- do you know how long it has been since I was in the 150's??? I am stoked! It's beautiful here again today, no fog! And we are going to see our little grandson who is now over 2 months old. Cant wait! Have a great day! Bella

Bella - 159#? FANTASTIC! I am soooo proud of you!
I hope everyone has a great, productive day! It's going to be in the 90's today - so will not go outside and replace some sprinkler heads. No rain since "forever" and everything is sooooo dry. Please send us some rain folks! |
