OK, I know it's 3rd already (Someone tell me how that happened please?) but let's start June the way we mean to go on.

Binge free (and struggling like hell with it at the moment) for 5 days x

Hi Gina and others. I was not BF on June 1 and not BF on June 9. I have been BF on the other days and plan to continue working on this problem one day at a time.

I made what I think is an important decision today. I have never really been successful on Weight Watchers as I get too hungry. (duh!) But I love the IDEA of WW - eating all foods in moderation. While I've been generally willing for a long time to accept that sugar and grain products don't work for me, it's been harder to accept that fruit and starchy vegs don't work for me. And let's face it - I don't binge on fruit. Or sweet potatoes. BUT...those foods clearly affect my blood glucose and then leave me hungry and craving the REAL binge foods.

Anyway...where is all that leading? I cancelled my WW membership today. I need to just never look back. Low carb is the ONLY thing that has ever worked for me and I just need to stop holding out that small amount of hope that higher carb foods will work for me. They just don't.

Good for you, DG! Makes sense to me to work with what works for you.
You may be able to go back to fruit and starchy veggies some day, but I would worry about that sometime in the future. I find it helpful to focus on the many filling and yummy things I can eat and not what I can't eat. Good luck!:)

23 months and 4 days

On my way in a plane to DC. Very nervous about flying. Bad weather in DC. Say a prayer.

Packed up some carrots, baby cukes and grape tomatoes along with some soycheese, soynuts and toasted BBQ tofu. It won't spoil and I can use it in an emergency. I brought my kitchen scale to weigh my portions for the weekend. It is part of my ritual. I weigh and measure my meals without exception. If I take care if my food, God will take care of my life. No worries.

the 1-1/2 hr flight took 4 hrs as we were diverted to Maryland to get gas due to bad weather when they couldn't land. we got her around noontime. i got to see my 4 little grand sons 6 and under. I am pooped. I fell just as we started toward the Smithsonian Institute Museum of Natural History, walking, I tripped over one of the boys and fell on both knees, left hand and right elbow. Black and blue but no scrapes or broken bones, thanks be to God. Bought some icy rub and ibuprofen for the pain and inflamation. I smell like wintergreen. Tomorrow we are going to the Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery and more. They have it planned.

I ate breakfast at 5 am before leaving on the plane. At lunch after we landed, I ate a cold lunch that would have tasted better heated and my salad w/ dressing and tahini paste. But for supper hubby went to Boston Market and got me roast chicken and beautiful steamed green beans. I made my salad from some tomatoes, carrots and cukes I brought. My DIL bought me some lettuce and s/f dressing so it made up a nice salad. Tomorrow I am packing lunch to take it with me. I am binge free and following my plan, very grateful and committed that I have a plan I love and that works for me. Abstaining from my binge food and binge behaviors through the grace of God is the most important action I take each day. By doing this, I am making myself available to my grand babies and son because they have a 65 yr old Boppie (grandma) who walked over 6 miles around DC today. I am pooped out and sleeping with the angels tonight. Over and out.

Hi all! I am happy to report no binging now for 5 consecutive days. I've got a good plan for another low carb, BF day tomorrow. May we all succeed with our LC/BF plans!

Marymary - I too hope you are doing OK after that fall! I hope you are not in pain and enjoying your time with the grandbabies!

I collapsed on my kitchen floor in a tearful heap on Friday night, decided that the freedom of JUDDD is not helping me right now so am attempting as of today - Dukan!

We had a grapeat time. Each day I felt better. The icy rub really helped the aches and pains. The bruises are igger than ever but they don't hurt if I don't touch them. There was probably a strain in the muscle in the upper right arm as certain movements are weak. It didn't interfere with all the activities.

I got to see my niece, her husband and her two children at an Italian restaurant with a kids room so the little ones could run and play. The kids had their own waitress and tiny picnic tables with movie. Great idea!

I probably walked about 20 miles in 4 days. That's the most I have ever done, but the epweather was good, blue skies and sunshine, and I am in pretty good shape with good shoes, no blisters, what could anyone want!

I stayed on plan, asked for what I needed in the restaurant. In stead of trying to order in front of everyone, I took the waiter aside in another room and told him what he needed. He said he would check to see if they could do it. When he came to take the orders, I looked at him and he nodded, we can do it. So I nodded for my order and the meal was perfect. This way I didn't bring attention to myself. I did have my backup and it all worked out. I weighed exactly the same as when I left on Thursday morning.

Well done for staying on plan, it can be so difficult ordering in front of people when you're trying to eat a restrictive diet - pays off in the long run though x
