I had a neck and face lift 2 weeks ago as well as the upper droopy eyelids done . The doctor siad there was so much skin. They tried to stretch it to the sides but there is a small amount that is rippled right under my chin that they could not stretch. But it is night and day from the me from 12 years ago. When I am ready, I will post some pictures.

So much to be grateful for today. My wonderful husband who had the day off and did the food shopping and laundry, and a dinner date tonight with a very dear friend.
Today is a good day

I am grateful to be alive today. To be able to make choices to support a life filled with energy and laughter.

I am grateful for sandy beaches and blue skies. I have been staying with my daughter. Today is the first rainy day in a couple weeks. They truly need to water.

I am grateful for different colored flowers, yellow pansies and marigolds, red geraniums, white begonias, purple pansies and ageratum. I am grateful for the delicious dandelion greens but the flowers are another story. I am sure there are uses for the yellow flowers but I use them to dig up roots and all.

It is rainy and cooler today. Feels so nice to be wearing a comfy sweater and socks. Think I may take a nap.

Had a difficult conversation today with no raised voices or unhappy statements. I did not cave in to please but calmly stated my intentions. We agreed that though we don't agree, we love each other and will live to enjoy each other another day. It is getting easier to stand firm and say no thanks when necessary and let someone know that my decisions and commitments have just as much validity as anyone elses. I like the me that I'm growing to be.

I am grateful for recovery physically, emotionally and spiritually, one day at a time.

Beautiful sunshine today and blue skies. Warmer than it's been in a while.

I am grateful for my family and our beautiful shelter dog. We got him 4 years ago on sale at the spca. The poor boy had been adopted out and returned! He's arguably the world's best dog.

Pics of your preciouses? I bet they're adorable.

I call mine a "little person." He's truly an important part of our family. I am thankful for him every day.

I am grateful I am abstaining from food addiction today.
I am sad that my DD is not (food and alcohol) and I have no control over it.

I a thankful for the retreat I am attending today. I participated in a buddist meditation yesterday for the first time. I went on a couple hikes, listened to some great discussions and ate some great food. All the attendees are on the same foodplan I am on. It is very supportive.

the retreat sounds lovely . . . there's a lovely place not too far from me that does wonderful retreats, group or individual. they are franciscans, but very open to all kinds of traditions. it can be a balm for my soul.
