Do artificial sweeteners cause binging?
I just read an article about how diet sodas and artificial sweeteners can cause you to eat more. I know I use probably too much artificial sweetener. What are your thoughts on this? Here is the article if I am allowed to post:

I thought they might but find I still binge after giving them up, now I have an occasional pepsi one that contains splenda without any increased hunger, but have continued with the unsweetened coffee/tea as I now prefer it that way. I have noticed an increase in hunger when I use aspartame sweetened diet soda, but no change when using splenda.

Jeanie - I'm experimenting and trying to reduce artificial sweeteners and seeing if stevia is better - although I haven't seen a direct correlation to a binge episode, I've wondered if there might be a connection.
