Food addiction - November
I didn't see one started so I hope no-one minds if I do.
I'm struggling (fruitlessly) with the various temrs for food addiction. Why would it matter, you might ask. Well, maybe it doesn't, but here it is. I don't think I'm a "compulsive over eater". I eat normal amounts of the wrong things sometimes. I end up with a habit of eating more than I should because of the sugar cravings, not a compulsive trait. I'm OCD, I would recognize a compulsive trait. I don't know if I'm a "food addict". I don't seem to eat for comfort or to avoid or deal with emotional stress. I eat carby/sugary things to deal with the craving for carby/sugary things. I could be a carb addict. It's kinda important because I plan to bring a 12 Step carb addiction type program into my local club house and I kinda want the root philosophy to match mine, since I will be the one committing to opening the meetings for the first year. The OA ladies are nice, but some of the online FA people are nice too. And there may be a Carb-anon which I have not found yet. Any input appreciated.
