Food Addiction - "Weekly Thread" - Oct. 1 thru Oct. 8
Do you have issues with Food?
Then come on in! No Judgy McJudgepants allowed! All are welcome! We are here to support you.![]() It is best if we do not refer to food by name. Please, call it a flour product, dairy product, etc. This works better. Trust me, I know! ![]() |

Hi I'm Kat and I'm a Compulsive Overeater/Food Addict. I haven't logged on to LCF for over 2 years. I was scared of putting too much focus on weight loss cuz as soon as I do my eating goes out of control. I just turned 30 on Sept 14, 2009 and have been sugar free since 4 days before that. I was reading Dr. Atkin's Diabetes Revolution and became concerned. Ya see, almost 4 years ago I was diagnosed prediabetic but that knowledge alone wasn't enough to take my addictive behaviors towards food away. Finally, Dr. A's book has put the risks and solution in a way that has made sense and moved me to action. I so greatful for this WOE. I'm making these changes for my health. Weight loss is only one of the ways to measure progress but it's not my main focus.
Thanks for letting me share. Kat |

KatNice to have you here. ![]() I struggle with it every day..mostly in the evening. The slightest amount of stress can ruin my entire day. The only thing I can do is get right back on and start again. ![]() |

Hi, Im Vi, first time poster, long time lurker. I been struggling with compulsive overeating for, well, about 20+ years
I've recently seperated from my husband and am parenting mostly on my own, so my eating has gone way out of control. It seems like I have totally forgotten how to deal with stress other than eating! So If anyone has any suggestions on better ways to deal with stress, please remind me. Thanks! |

Hi everyone! i am over at the Metabolism Miracle thread a lot these days. Just reading not posting until I get 2 weeks under my belt. This woe has helped with my cravings as it is a bit like atkins/sb combined in step one. Just wanted to stop by and say hi and whatever plan or woe you are doing-do it with dignity. You are worth it!

I'm doing the Inches Off Plan by Dr. Stillman's. It is the perfect plan for my Adrendal Fatigue Syndrome as I can eat my veggies and fruit in the evening. I am praying for a miracle this works for me.

MAJOR LCF POSTER!
|
Well, there's not a new thread for this week, so I'm hitch hiking on this one.
I wrote about my attempt to go to OA. I didn't mention that I got a chance to talk to one of the two folks who might also be interested. They both travel that way (It's out of town) and have both talked to me about food issues before. Maybe I'll have carpool buddies! Of course, there's also a chance I could start a meeting right here in town. No reason not to except I don't know what the heck I'm doing. Cravings are at a minimum these last few days. Probably because of VLC levels. I'll have to start forcing myself to keep enough calories in my diet if this keeps up. OK, just passing through, thought I would leave a post.
