Anyone else do OA?

Hi! I lost all my weight with OA and LC and was wondering if anyone else here does. I love them both they have saved my life.

Geeze I'm now thinking this is annonymous so if you would rather pm me its ok I'll keep you annonymous.

Another Fellow OA Member

Hello, Yes I also have been in OA, but haven't been since May because of the hectic summer. I have been seriously considering going back though. Back in the spring I lost 27 pounds and have gained 30 or more throughout the summer. I am sure you can relate seeing as you are also an OA member. I would love to chit chat sometime.

I've attended an online meeting, which was nice but probably not representative of a real life meeting. I go to my first RL OA meeting on Tuesday.

I've been in AA for a long time and was trying to deal with my Carb Addiction with the 12 Steps, but it's hard without guidance and support.

So I went to the OA meeting place. It was in a fairly large church so I wandered around for quite a while before I found anyone. They directed me to the correct room, but no one was there. I got back on the web and called the contact person, it just happened that they had agreed to give that particular meeting a miss... car trouble, illness, just turned out to be a bad night.

Good to know they call around to each other and I did get to meet a lovely lady of the church and talk to the OA contact person for a short while.

program. I got to two meetings a week unless working.

Hi SusieT!

I finally got to the Tuesday meeting in my area the other day. They were all very nice and it was much as I expected it to be. But it's pretty far away. I might have to try to start another meeting in my town.

Starting your own meeting is a great idea. I have a friend who did and at first it was just 2 people and now it has blossomed. What great service it is to do that.

I'm going back there tonight, maybe I will mention it to them and see if they think it's a good idea for this area.
