I'm not doing well

I'm sitting here in tears right now. I did so well going without alcohol and I went to vegas in april and thought that a couple won't hurt me. But those couple " just on vacation " has turned to bing drinking at night. I have a ulcer and hypoglycemia and I'm in agony today. I feel like I'm dying. WTH did I start drinking again? I feel disgusting.

Amber,

I pray you find your pathway back to sobriety. You are not disgusting. You are "fearfully and wonderfully made". I know there are experts here who can steer you toward the right direction concerning this. My knowledge in this area is limited. But, please be assured I am praying for you. Many, many hugs!

Amber,

Like Redeemed, I'm not an expert either, but I DO know that the only failure is to give up. By posting, you show that you don't want to give up. In every endeavor, there's backsliding, but the key is to get right back up and keep on going.

Now you know that any alcohol can be a trigger. You've learned something valuable to keep in mind for the future. So this wasn't a total disaster.

Be glad that alcohol is not like food--at least you can practice total abstinence.

You can do this, and you will be happier and healthier as a result. Be kind to yourself

Have you checked to see if there are call centers? You probably need someone to talk to right now.

We're keeping you in our prayers.

Also, once you feel better, try looking into the nutritional/ supplement side of recovery. There are some very promising things out there that might make it less of a struggle for you.

All of us have our 'something' that breaks us down and makes us feel worthless. You know yours for what it is and that is putting you so much farther ahead than many. Keep going, you will make it! Hugs.

Yep two girls. They had no clue what so ever I was ever drunk. I'm one of those that no one would be able to tell. Just drank quitely on the sidelines. Thanks you guys for the support I feel like a new person today. I haven't even had a yearning for a drink since the other day that I wrote this! I will get help though still because I think I need it to stay sober.

It is interesting to me that eating (even overeating, not classic eating disorders) and other addictions are so closely linked.

No one should ever feel ashamed that they have a problem, only ashamed if they don't keep fighting.
