I need HELP!

Hello everyone! I'm new to this, I want to approach a low carb lifestyle but it's really hard for me! Little info about me....I have to help my family in our business gas station. Whenever I work here, I'm always eating junk or sodas. I try to avoid it but at the end I give up. I started low carb induction for 2 days then I had to to come to work, 3rd day I went crazy eating chips sodas candies! I don't think I can stick to Induction, it's to hard for me! My son is almost 5 and I'm the same weight after I had him! Some people think I'm pregnant, my lower belly sticks out. My husband is thin, he doesn't eat junk or drink sodas. I'm so depressed, I don't know how to stop this junk food addiction! I was bulamic for almost a year but it didnt help, now i have stomach pains constantly. Sorry to be gross but 2 days after induction I started bleeding, I had my period 2 weeks ago, this has never happend before. Before pregnancy I was 135 pounds now I'm 175.....I want to have a another baby but I want to lose all my baby fat first. Please Help!

You need to plan what foods you are going to PACK and take to work with you. When you bring your own foods AND they are low carb foods that you really like, you should be able to handle your cravings so much easier.

Thanks, I was thinking to do that but I don't know how to plan foods. My family doesn't like to eat healthy low carb foods, and i think thats why I'm so lazy to cook 2 different meals everyday. They like to eat spaghetti, rice, tortilla....by the time I'm done cooking for them, I'm to tired to cook my meals seperate....I was thinking to cook my meals for the week...Do you have any ideas or tips how to?

When you make spaghetti, use a home-made, low-carb sauce (I've even made it sans tomatoes with green peppers and onions!) and lots of meat. Serve the noodles on the side so everyone else can have them but you don't have to. Just put some cheese on the meat sauce. Also, you can try serving this with a type of noodle that you don't particularly enjoy so you aren't tempted. I mean, if there is one. I tend to like all noodles because, well, they're carbs!

When you do tortillas, I am guessing there is some sort of spicy meat, cheese, salsa, sour cream, etc. You can have all but the tortillas, rice and beans (be careful with the salsa). Yummy!

I have found that ninety percent of what I used to eat can be adapted slightly and not really take up any more cooking time than before.

You say you are making it through two days of Induction? Many say that after the third day, the cravings start going away. Also, the weight loss begins for many at Day 3 (though Doc Atkins says to only weigh once a week...). Anyway, maybe three will be magical for you as well. I say go for three! You can do it!!

Oh, and being on Atkins makes me bleed more too. You're not alone there. It happened the last time I was on Atkins (2004) and it evened out. I am hoping it does the same this time around. We'll see.

I had the same problem when i started Atkins last year. My sugar cravings were so intense, I would follow the plan all day but binge on sugar when I got home. I had to throw everything that would cause temptation out of the house. (and boy did I get in a foul mood when those cravings hit.) But the cravings will subside after a while. Stay strong. Think about the benefits of losing the weight instead of thinking about everything your missing out on. (BTW: I heard vitamin C can help curb cravings....)

also, the Food Porn thread is a life savor. It is amazong and gives you some great and yummy food examples that even the non 'LC' family will enjoy.

I have found different ways to have my junk food. Such as pork rinds shaken in a paper sack with cinnamon, splenda and truvia. Or chocolate bark with coconut flakes, flax seeds, and walnuts. Tastes just like candy.
And for the spaghetti, I cook zuchinni squash in the oven, sliced into slivers, with olive oil, to sub for the pasta. Pretty good.
I find that the more creative I get with my meals, the easier it is to stay on plan and I am enjoying it more. I am actually enjoying cooking more now than I have in years. I think before my cooking was combined with guilt at what I was eating which diminished the pleasure of doing it.
I put lime slices in sparkling water when I need a fizzy fix.
Best wishes on your challenge!
