Thanks, Pookie!
![]() I finished reading Gaining, last night. It was phenomenal! I learned so very much of what I needed to understand more about EDs and recovery. I'd recommend it to anyone who has struggled with disordered eating. |

Just something I am pondering in the Atkins 72 book he states that he believes most of us with a compulsion to overeat are really just responding to our out of whack insulin levels due to eating too much carbohydrate. I have restarted low carb severely limiting A/S and eating truly to hunger ( mostly in the way of not allowing hunger to linger) and have not binged since 12/12. That is BIG for me. Just my thoughts. That is great that you are having success with controlling the AS and the binge eating. I am working on eliminating the AS but not doing so well. I've pretty much eliminated the diet soda--if I have it around, I drink it and will go through a 2L bottle a day if it is in the house. Fortunately, when I shopped yesterday, they did NOT have my favorite brand on the shelf so I didn't even have to debate with myself as to whether to purchase it. Now I need to work on the tea/coffee with splenda addiction....oh, also have to deal with s/f chewing gum and other s/f products. I'm an addict....
Congrats on your success! |
