Kicking you in the @$$?? is not going to help without knowing what happened. Tell us so we can help you change and move forward .Anyway, try planning blocks of time in between meals so that you don't derail. I like checklists because I am motivated to get through the list. It will have all sorts of stupid little things...pay bills, brush teeth, clean the shower, iron, check message board, etc. Eat lunch (specify what you will eat). Then the next block of time, will be watch movie, study, read 10 page. Eat dinner (be specific). More activities, go to bed...End of day. I don't neccessarily get though everything, but it will be on tomorrow's list. Checking off "to-dos" makes me feel successful no matter how insignificant they are. Get the idea? Just schedule yourself. Hope that helps. |

Hey gals should we shut this thread down and start a new one for July?
Maybe we should have a new inspiring title for July, any ideas? Let me know. |

This thread helped me immensely...I really worked through many of my food issues, but after a while the hyperfocus on emotional eating started to set me back...so I stopped posting to the thread. I expected that the thread would continue on with the other participants, but I guess not?

I think a new thread for April will be nice. I am trying so hard to lose this weight but sometimes it seems like a losing battle for me.
I know I am using food to fill a void but how do I make that void go away and not use food to cover it up. Last edited by Pcola Girl : 03-31-2008 at 10:10 AM. |

Hi! I'm new :)
Hiya! I'm new to this forum and have been peeking around and this thread caught my attention because while I don't know if I'm actually addicted to food it definitely is a something that is a big part of my life.
When looking back at certain periods of my life I often assoicate them with food, for example, looking back on the good parts of my last school year (freshmen year, joy) I think of starbucks after school. I guess in general, I associate comfort with food. And comfort is very important to me, even though, in theory, I would like to be an adventure seeking person, that's just not who I am. So yeah. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing or neutral. All in all it's just confusing.

Wow!! What a great surprise to see this thread still going.
I have been off this site for several months. I regret it because it really helped me stay focused on what I was doing with food and life. It is nice to be 'home' again. Hi Everyone!!!! |
