New and Need Help

Hi All:

I am in desperate need of a support/accountability person to help me through this. As I am sitting here I hear chocolate in the kitchen calling my name. This is only the second day and I am already in trouble.

HELP.

Hi im new here too. I too am going through withdrawel. I had horrible headaches yesterday and was moody as well. But what keeps me going is thinking how good i will feel after the temporary side effects have worn off, and how good it will feel to step on that scale next week. You can get past this.

I'm new here as well. I know exactly what you mean about being in trouble and it only being the second day. I did so good yesterday, then today my husband's chocolate birthday cake got the best of me. Why do I do this to myself?? I too need someone to be accountable to.
Take care and just take it one day at a time.

It gets better

The first few days are horrible - particularly the chocolate cravings. When its really bad - and you can't stand it try mixing 1Tablespoon of Cocoa, 1 oz of Cream cheese and a packet of splenda or sweet an low.
This is much better than the low carb candy bars at the stores. If this doesn't do it try a bar like z-carb(wal-mart) or mini carb(nettrition on-line) that don't have any sugar alcohols.
The hardest part is the first few days - it gets better real soon.
Its always smart to remember that chocolate craving - could mean your body is dehydrated.
If your in induction chances are, you are losing alot of water - so I would try drinking water and see if your cravings go down.
good luck

I'm a Chocoholic just as much as a really bad carboholic. I just got through 5 days of induction. The third day was especially hard for me. Hang in there; If I can do it so can you. I weighed today and I lost 5 and one half pounds. YEAH!! I like the cocoa powder with cream cheese idea, can we have that during induction?

Cravings suck

I am on my forth week and I am down 15 lbs. I am really bumed out right now though because I had a bad craving tonight and I ate 2 low carb cookies and some chinese (no Rice). I do well for a while but at some point I always seem to sabatoge myself. I really want to get my weight down and keeping my eyes on the big picture is the only thing that has kept me from going off program completly. I have a hard time asking for help but I DO NOT WANT TO FAIL THIS TIME, so I am reaching out to see if anyone can give me a little support on the addiction problems and staying on track without getting board.

hello i am new here, i started atkins nov 2003 and lost all my weight but then i started eating everything again and gained it all back and then some.... so i am here to do it again i restarted feb2005 i am also a compullsive weigher i weigh my self about 20 times a day every time i pee i weigh my self. it actually is sick i keep telling my self to hide the scale for a week to see how i handle it but i don't know if i could. before atkins i never ate chocolate or candy , but now i crave it so i buy those low carb sugar free (peppermint pattys and kit kats ) but the problem is i eat almost the whole bag in one day. i can't stop and i wonder why i am not in ketones (duh) i went to a chinese restaurant yesterdat, it was so hard, i feeled off all the fried outside on my 007 and my shrimp and ate just that. i left very hunger i must say. the first time around was allot easier than this time. it has to get easier....

remember : NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS THIN FEELS........
