I feel SEXY :D

Kitchenlabs-- I'd like to do email -- can I get your addy?

I am here, and feeling really good after three on target days in a row. Of course, that's when it's easiest to slip, so I am staying vigilant. Menu for today (helps me to plan it out). Still, it was nice to wake up this morning and feel good in my body -- not bloated at all! almost sleek

Breakfast -- 6 oz keilbasa and 2 eggs with shedded cheddar
Lunch -- salad with low carb dressing and a low carb chile relleno
Dinner -- chicken breast and cooked veggies, and a salad if I am hungry enough.

Tomorrow I go to Dance class in the evening and Tuesday I do a five mile walk with a friend. That's about the extent of my exercise over the holidays, but I am looking forward to increasing it when I get back from Colorado Springs. We are leaving to visit family up there on Thursday, and I know the week and a half up there is going to be challenging. My MIL has a computer and AOL access, though, so I plan to keep checking in.

Good evening friends. Welcome Silk!
I've been in a constant internal battle over all of these holiday goodies that are everywhere. I'm not always winning the battles, either, but hope that I'm winning the war.
Nancy, thanks for keeping us going!

I feel really good today -- Ketosis has kicked in, and I am free of cravings this morning!! YAY!!

Today may be a small challenge. I have a birthday outing with my mom and friends, and we'll be going out to eat. I know what to order, though -- The restaurant has a great chicken plate which is low carb. I'll want a veggie, though; I hope I can get a small salad.

I had a stressor last night; I discovered that I have been irresponsible with my finances! I know, I know, how can someone "discover" that? Well, really I was in denial, I guess. It will work itself out, and we're not on the edge of bankruptcy or anything, but my husband is a bit (understandably) upset with me, and I really need to reign in my spending. It's all part of the same compulsive cycle for me -- consume, consume, consume

Anyhow, at least I feel in a state to "clean house" as it were. If only it didn't keep getting dirty again!

Hi everyone,

Checking in. Food is on target one day at a time. I accomplished one goal I set for myself on Saturday. I got my Christmas cards out to the post office. DH and I did a little more Christmas shopping. We wrapped some, finishing wrapping today. We went to visit his folks who are in their 80's and watched them unwrap their gifts, little things that were in a glittery container. My MIL had tears in her eyes because she loved the container so much, and the cheese, and the chocolates, and the gift certificate to WalMart. She wanted to go and buy all the different colors embrodiery thread that they had. I love her so much. Then we opened our gifts from them. We knew they didn't have much money what with raising 6 children who all went to college, some have Masters and one is working on a Doctorate. It didn't matter what they gave us, I love them. Well, it turns out this year they must have cashed in some of their retirement, they gave each of their six children ten 100 dollar bills. I cried when I saw this because our oven died last weekend and we knew we were going to have to start another payment plan with Sears. God does perform miracles. I had read somewhere that if you believe in miracles, miracles start to happen. Maybe it is more that miracles are always happening but when you are more aware, you actually begin to see them in your life.

Have a good week.

Hi All,

Just checking in. Welcome to SilkAsha! The season has been dificult for me, however, I'm hanging on and have not binged on food or alcohol. Too many unrealistic expectation and unmet needs in the past. However, I'm staying in touch with my buddy - although not as often as I should have in the past week. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.

I have had the stomach bug for the past 3 days....ugh!!
Finally feeling better tonight!!

Mary~God does bring us what we need, when we need it. He is in the miracle business. How sweet of your parents!! I lost my Mom 6 years ago and there are days when I miss her terribly. Today is one of those! It is good that you cherish your parents.

I have to finish shopping tomorrow (just stocking stuffers for DS). I did not get paid til today and because I was sick, was unable to get out. So I will be one of the last minute loons. Though I enjoy watching people on Christmas Eve....everyone is in a frenzy.

Hope all have a Merry Christmas!! Enjoy your families.
I may make next weeks thread early, so I am not doing it on Christmas night.
