Why hasnt anybody replied?

I am very disappointed that no one has even replied to my post. I guess this is not the right place for me then. So much for feeling welcomed. Sorry but that is just how I feel.

Thank you!

Thank you for your reply I really appreciate it. I am new to low-carb and really hope I make this a lifestyle change so I can lose this weight and feel good again.

I always seem to start out good and then in a week or two I have eating bad carbs again. It makes me so disappointed.

Where in florida do you live? I am in hollywood.

Good luck and welcome Minnmia. This is the first I have really been on here for almost a month. Things have been hectic in my daily life.

I do LFL and it really is good and is not hard to follow.

Have a great day,

Linda

Thank you!

Thanks everyone I really appreciate it!!

So far so good. I have a slight headache but I guess that is because I am just beginning the low carb lifestyle and maybe my brain is lacking some carbs. LOL But anyway I am doing alright and hope that this is something I will continue to do for the rest of my life. I cant wait to be able to walk into a clothing store and be able to buy anything I want. That is my determination!!!

I hope everyone is having a great day.

Hi Minn...I am in Sebastian Fl...You know I originally went on this diet because they had a sign in the curves I go to said "nothing tastes as good as thin feels" It got me thinking about how most of the stuff I was eating really didn't taste that good..It is still an every day struggle requires closing down my mind on the things I think I want to eat...But nothing feels as good as going in a store and not having to head to the plus size womens section...

Hi Puttchikins,

That is so true. When I was thin I felt great, I was never depressed, I would do so many things and didnt feel self-conscious doing it. It was a great feeling and I really hope to get back there. How do you like Curves? I was thinking about joining it but the hours at the one near my house are not fitting to my schedule. I am thinking about joining Lady of America.

I just dont want to join a gym and never go. I am getting a treadmill at my house and also a abdominal machine (forgot the name of it) so I will have my own mini gym at my house. Hopefully it wont just end up collecting dust. I know its up to me and since I really want to lose this weight I will have to force myself to do it.

well if you are getting a treadmill and an abdominal machine you probably don't need curves but its fun I have been going for 2 years...Being as you live in Florida did you ever think of trying water aerobics???? I found them to be the greatest help you can do amazing stretching things in the water you can't do one the land...Unfortunately the heater in the pool I go to broke in the hurricaine needed major reconstruction so in the meantime just curves but when the pool is open its aerobics mon-wed-fri and curves tues-thurs-sat--At any rate whatever you do exercise is a major factor in weight loss

I would love to go swimming but I am too uncomfortable with myself to even put a bathing suit on. I know I shouldnt think that way but I do and if there was a pool I could go to where there would be no one there then I would definitely swim. LOL

I cant wait to get the treadmill & ab machine so I can start doing them. I have started doing some exercises on my own at home but not too much to make a difference but at least its a start.

I just am looking so forward in getting back into shape and being able to wear the clothes I like.

Thank you again for your advice and help.

Minnmia, just wanted to check in to see how you are doing with the low carb.
Did you get all the recipes i sent ya? let me know if you need anything and I will be here to help you out all I can with the low carb.
I weighed in this morning and was down two lbs. form just a few days ago. Am not sure if it is just water weight loss or fat but will know in a few days if I am the same weight then.

Got our Xmas tree put up yesterday but am still trying to decorate it. Think I will go out and buy some new ornaments for it. i am just tired of the old ones i use every year. i want something different. What did you all do your tree in? I think i want alot of angels on it this year. I have a few already but not nearly enough. I saw this angel fiber optic tree topper at wal mart that i think i will go back and get for the top of the tree. I think she will be pretty up there.

You all take care and will check back in with you later.

With purchases little and large,
She doesn't believe in Santa Claus,
But she believes in Master Charge.

Hi Mary,

I did get the recipes and thank you so much!! I havent tried any yet but they look great!! Sorry I havent gotten back to you I have been real busy at work and I dont have a computer at home right now so I can only check in once or twice a day. I really appreciate your help!!!

I havent put up a xmas tree this year and not sure if I will because time keeps flying and I dont know if I will get around to it. I probably will do a few decorations though to make it look all festive.

I hope all of you are having a great day!!

Minnmia, Just wanted to say hi and to see how you are doing with the low carb. Did you do ok ove the xmas holiday? I blew it with a slice of lime pie and nmow I am regretting eating it. Want to weigh in on the 1st. of Jan. and hoping not to see any gained lbs. back.
sometime I wish we did not have holidays because they are always so bad for me. Looks like all these years i would have learned how to manage the holiday food but I have not .
But i am now trying to get back on low carb like I need to be so I can lose the rest of my weight this coming up new year.
I have made a promise to lose 10-15 lbs. in January and I am going to do it to no matter what.

Minnmia, just hope everything is going good fro you.
see ya later.
