Considering Zyban

Hi All,

I am considering trying the Zyban approach again. I will have no chance at all if DW continues, so I'm talking to her.

It's my understanding that the Zyban/Wellbutron family of drugs (MRI's ah, need to google that) cause weight gain.

Does anyone have any success stories for Zyban, is it better with "the patch"? The combo seems silly to me as the point is to get off nicotene.

We spend close over $300/month on something that's killing us.

I used Wellbutrin (started a couple months in advance) and hypnosis together and I have been smoke free for nearly five years. I rarely even crave a cigarette. I did try the patch, but I kept peeling it off to have a smoke.

Now that's interesting, a former landlord, who I still do some work for from time to time, quit with hypnosis only. He's a WWII vet, hum really old farts can do it w/hypno....

I take generic Wellbutrin, haven't picked up a ciarette, and since I started the low dose of Wellbutrin have lost over 50 lbs. since last December.
