I'll admit it! I had a laaaaazy weekend! No exercise from Friday to Sunday!

Got a little 15-minute aerobics workout and a 15 minute yoga workout at home yesterday...anything's better than nothing.

Resolved to get back on track today!

Periodically, I will check in to see how progress is going. This morning, I walked 52 mins, 3.24 miles, 500 cals. on the treadmill.

I post on my TM thread - Anybody Want to Be a Treadmill Buddy? No. 2 - if you want to see updates of various workouts.

Have a great day!

I think I may have a solution or an idea to what is known as "Cardio-Boredom"!

I tried this yesterday and I feel great!

I go to the gym 6 days a week but if you're a home body this may work for you!

Here is what you do. Break up your cardio into 3 - 10 minute shifts.

Step onto your treadmill - walk and work up to a slow jog to get the blood pumping. Remember only 10 minutes!

Then do some strength training (if you don't have weights, improvize!) Lift up gallons of water and do some lateral raises to get rid of those chicken wings! Or make a game out of picking up the kids or pets. Slow fluid movements. Check the internet for more ideas of strength training at home. Throw in some seated tricep presses, too.

Again, get on that treadmill or if you were outside. Start it up again for another 10 minutes. Raise the intensity a bit. Start speed walking or perhaps jog a little faster. Feeling the sweat? Make sure you keep yourself hydrated!

Now, this is the time to do those abs. (Reverse Crunches, 30-second planks, bicycles.)

This sounds terrible but jump on the treadmill again for your last shift and you're done!

If you are new to exercise then skip the last shift but the time does pass quickly especially when you're listening to great upbeat music.

Checking in!

I've made it to the gym Monday and Tuesday...so I'm on a roll! Trying to incorporate more strength training/abs into my routine. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I get out of work at 3:30 and I have class at 6:40 (in the same town)...so that leaves me with plenty of time to do what? Go to the gym! haha! I'd be a jerk not to, with 3 hours to kill, so I'm glad that at least two nights a week, I'm almost guaranteed to work out.

Yay Lisa! Burn that fat!

Sometimes on the elliptical it keeps me going to think of the hot, hot body I will soon have

Scale moved a little for me, which is good - I've been really good about night eating and whatnot!

Did abs and elliptical yesterday - tonight I'm working late, so I'm gonna try and do abs during Survivor

Haha yup! I have an exam next week and really need to get some reading in, so I'm gonna skip the gym tonight and go to the library. Maybe I will hit up the gym after class, or just do some abs or a short pilates thing tonight.

I did dance it out Friday AND Saturday night, so that's gotta count (it probably just burned off the alcohol, but I'll keep dreaming)

I just finished my 30 minutes on the treadmill And just do what you can-sometimes its tough fitting exercise into our hectic schedules, but every little bit helps. Enjoy your day
