Isn't it nice Berta when you get new floors! It just makes the room seem so much prettier.
My husband installed carpet in our living room around September last year and we need to put tile in the family room, dining room and kitchen. It's just a matter of getting the materials and making the time. I hope soon! Thanks on my glasses MommaPatty! I like them but I really do need new ones. I can hardly see out of these anymore. Well far anyway. I wish I could lost .1 lb or even 00.1 lb Did that makes sense!! ![]() Today I did more baking. Am I crazy or what!!! My niece and nephew spent the night here and I did a big jelly roll pan of Andes mint cookies and some brownies. I tried to bake a couple of lc muffins and cake, but you know, it's just not the same. I think I won't even attempt to make anything unless it's a LindaSue recipe. I am making Dotties pumpkin pound cake for my mom's birthday, it's tomorrow. She will be 68 years. God Bless her!!! I just turned 47 December 30th, but I still feel like a goofy kid sometimes, lol. I didn't do anything, just had my family over and we had some good food and karaoke'd, it was fun. I don't have any children, yet. I don't think I'll be too old to have children or I don't worry about any complications because the Lord is in control and He is the One who blesses us and makes us fruitful. But if I don't have any children then, that's okay. I'll spoil and be a blessing to someone elses' children, such as all my nieces and nephews! I live in Glendale, AZ. and the weather right now is gorgeous! It's in the upper 60's, my front door is open and I'm loving it! I was born and raised here, and I've never lived anywhere else. I like it alot, but I would love to move in the country somewhere. John, my husband is orginally from Freeport, Ill. He's used to snow and knows what to do if we did move someplace like that. He is an ex-Air Force guy. He is very loving and friendly and considerat man. God truly blessed me with him and the Lord really knew what I needed too. Isn't that just like our Lord!!! ![]() Well, I just wanted to share a little bit about myself, to go with the picture. Feel free to ask anything else if you want to know more about me. Love You All! ![]() ![]() ![]() For each of you!

Here you go!
I sadly couldn't taste these, but everyone else said they were good.
I doubled the recipe and made them in a big jelly roll pan. I didn't even chill them I just put it in the pan and baked them for about 20 minutes. I made alot because I'm giving some away. Crème de Menthe Cookies Ingredients: 1/2 cup salted butter - softened 3/4 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup white granulated sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 eggs 1 package (10 oz.) Andes® Crème de Menthe Baking Chips 2-2/3 cups sifted all-purpose flour Directions: Preheat oven to 350° F. Blend butter, sugars, baking soda, baking powder, vanilla and eggs until mixed. Stir in Andes Baking Chips and then flour. Chill approximately one hour in the refrigerator. Measure out approximately 1 oz. of dough. Form a ball and slightly flatten. Raise oven rack one level above the middle and bake on non-stick baking pans. Bake at 350° F for approximately 8 - 10 minutes. Cool on pans for two minutes before removing. |

Berta, that thought has crossed my mind so many times about adopting, but it hasn't hit my DH yet. He knows I would like children, but I don't know how to approach him about that as far as the adoption goes.
I'm praying about it and just trusting the Lord that He will open my husbands heart to this, if this is His will for us. In the past, I have doubted that I would even get pregnant and by doing that, I felt that I've been faithless when it came to this. So if the Lord is allowing me to go through this in order for me to really trust Him and to know that He will fulfill this as part of His plan for my life, then I'll do what ever He wants me to do. Wow, I've never talked this much about this subject. Thanks for caring! ![]() Have a great evening Ladies!!!! I haven't forgotten about you either Tammy! ![]() Love Ya Ladies!! ![]() |

When I was 28 years old Henry and I thought about adopting a boy. I have 2 girls and no boys, but the time got away from us and we never did. Got busy building a home and raising girl, which is a job in itself.

Joyce Meyer believes that we as christians should praise and worship God, before every problem they face, and then ask Him in pray, believing that we have the victory in Christ Jesus. What a concept, and it makes sense to me to worship God first and then ask him to take care of the siduation that we are facing, whether it's weightloss, sickness, a loved one who needs prayer, or whatever, amen. ![]() Have a great day!!! ![]() ![]() ![]()

HI Berta!
I believe that recipe makes about 2 to 3 doz, but it doesn't say. Weird huh? I just made them in a jelly roll pan and doubled the recipe, so I think that mine made at least 4 doz if not more. Yes, my husband is a born again and totally believe God for our lives. He believes that God will bless us one day with a child, but he hasn't thought of adoption or even mentioned it, as if maybe that is something the Lord wants of us. Hi Tammy, I have a few of Joyce's books too. I like the Battlefield of the Mind, that has some good nuggets in it. I've heard that story from one of her teachings on tv. That is a good lesson and how true that we should always go through our day with a heart full of praise and worship to the Lord. No matter what our situation looks like. I like the scripture when Jesus say's that we will have trials and tribulations in this world, then He say's, but cheer up, I have overcome the world! When I read that and meditate on that, it makes me so joyous in Him! Because He has overcome the world and we already have the victory because He gave that to us. Hallelujah!!!!! Love Ya Ladies! Thanks for reminding us of Praise to God before battles and anytime of course. I tend to forget sometimes that he is in control and try to do things on my own...

A friends sent this to me and I wanted to share it with you today.
---------------------------------------------------- Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? The gospel of John (20: 7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of that stony coffin. Is that important? You'd better believe it! Is that Significant? Absolutely! In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the master and servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table until the master was finished. Now if the master had finished eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, "I'm done". But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because the servant knew that the folded napkin meant, "I'm not finished yet." The folded napkin meant, "I'm coming back!"

Patty I had no idea of this either until my friend sent it to me. I plan to go check my Bible later to see what it says about the cloth.
