New thread for a New year.

I haven't been around much in 2007, but that will change in 08. You ladies have kept this thread going and I appreciate that. You have made the atmosphere here humble, meek, and loving. Thanks ladies, here goes to another year of being about our father's business.

Why Women Cry

A little boy asked his mother, 'Why are you crying?' 'Because I'm a woman,' she told him.

'I don't understand,' he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, 'And you never will.'

Later the little boy asked his father, 'Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?'

'All women cry for no reason,' was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, 'God, why do women cry so easily?'

God said:

'When I made the woman she had to be special.

I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world,

yet gentle enough to give comfort

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue with out complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed.'

'You see my son,' said God, 'the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides.'

Please send this to five beautiful women you know today. If you do, something good will happen - You will boost another woman's self-esteem!

I'm here. I was thinking just a while ago that we needed to start a new thread for this year. I was going to do that when I saw yours. Thanks for doing it.

I love that and it is so true. We to often look on the outside of a person instead of trying to see what is in their Hearts...

WorldChanger, you don't worry about things like that. God keep His own where He wants them.

He is the one who brings down and promotes. It's His children who keep companies going and keeps them blessed!
The Lord wil take care of you, don't even go there okay. You just praise Him for keeping your job and if He removes you from there, it's because He has a better place for you.

You just keep doing the best in Him that you can do! You'll be alright!!

Hi God'sbeloved, I'm glad you got home safe and sound, and thanks for starting this new thread!!!

Ladies, I appreciate all of you. You're a blessing to me, because without your support, I wouldn't have accomplished what I did accomplish in 2007. Well, I've caught a nasty head cold this week and called in sick this morning, resting for most of the day. I've always felt guilty taking time off, and rarely do unless it's holiday time, but God has been telling me lately, that I need to take care of myself more. To leave everything in his hands, not to try and figure things out on my own merit, and he will take care of the rest. That's good advice.

I'm not working a diet plan at the moment, but with God's help today, I ate healthy using portion control. I know I can do it, and keeping my hands busy with knitting socks [for the first time in my life], really helped keep me focused on what I should and should not do, and I was able to make some "me" time for myself too.

My resolutions for 2008 are: 1. to take better care of my health; 2. manage my finances better and spend less; 3. make more "me time"; 4. build up my confidence, love myself more; 6. lose 20-40 pounds more this year.

I praying that all you Ladies will be blessed this month of January, and that we will be successful in all that we do this year; including eating right and living healthy, managing our finances better, and living the life God meant for us to live.

Berta Honey, that's all I've been praying for! I believe that the Lord will do something for you and your husband, but it's always in His time. Just know, He will always meet your needs no matter how it looks. He loves you so!
I believe the Lord will let you and your husband have alot of time together, don't worry. Let the Lord do what He needs to do with your husband and just know that the Lord is faithful and that His grace is sufficient.

Keep on Praising Him even when it seems like it's going to be tough!
