Congrats on staying away from the junk!! That is awesome! You have nerves of steel, chick.

I haven't exersize the last 2 days but my eating has been on plan. I even made a horrible bastardization of a Linda Sue recipe by making Egg Foo Yung in a Quiche.. lol.. it was delicious.

When I say I haven't exersized I mean not formal exersize..today I just trimmed a 12ft tree into a managable size AND cleaned up the mess (because it was raining outside I had to trim it inside) so I am pooped! I'm going to do some gentle yoga here in a minute.

BTW Lisa I don't know if i've congratulated you on getting up to 2.5 mi regularly..thats awesome!

Thanks! No exercise for me today. I didnt even ,ake it through the entire day. I have had a headache all day and my neck has been hurting so I slept most of the afternoon away. The muscle relaxer wipes me out. I will try for tomorrow.

Well, i'm here but i'm not doing much better. Still having problems getting back on track with exersize...We can take turns kicking each other's butt.

BTW today the scale said 188, which I refuse to believe.

Maybe you've hit a 'whoosh' lisa! You seem to finally be dropping fairly quickly

I seem to be in a groove right now and Im lovin it! I struggled so much last month and now Im really glad I stuck it out. I had a feeling if I could just get past 160 I would start losing at a better rate again. I weighed 162 last Wednesday and today 155.5. WHOOOOOSH Im enjoying it while I can cuz I know TOM will come along eventually and screw me up I better get movin....

Jamie~ Are you still with us?

The 188 stuck! I am totally pleased by it! Unfortunantly I "cheated" today. I ate (omg..) 1/2 a pear. 11 carbs, though according to fitday. I'm at like 30 net for the day. I'm not too worried about it because I refuse to believe that I can ruin a diet with 1/2 a piece of fruit.

Yoga tonight.

Hey 188 is great. That is where I was until I cheated. As of this morning at 5am I am 192. So I have come down. I havent exercised and that is why I am not losing. I just cant get back on track as usual.
Hope you have a good day.I will check in later.

Hi everyone!!! Sorry I have not been on in a while. I have not exercised either. I suck.
But, I did weigh myself this morning, half nekked, and I was 189.5. I hope it sticks but for some reason I think it will be higher tomorrow morning. I feel like its just a glitch.
I went to target yesturday and tried on pants....real pants....not stretchy elastic things and i got into a size 14.
I have lost 14 pant sizes. I used to wear a 26/28 plus size womans and they were stretchy and had elastic. So I was pretty happy with that. NOT happy with the way they looked on me but I have to start somewhere. I HATE my gut. I am going to have it cut off before it ever goes away on it's own......I guess thats what happens when ya stretch the crud out of your skin and stay fat so long. Oh well. One day at a time...right?
I am stuck at home with the kids today. No school. They closed them due to the weather. Chicago is in a deep freeze...no puns....we are under ice.
I hope you all have a great day.

Congrats on the size 14! I too hate my gut. My belly button is wrinkly now. I am mortified.. Hoping that my skin will catch up to my weight loss.. No way I can afford a tummy, tuck, besides, it would be completely pointless, as I plan on having a large family (3 more at least...5 more at max )

So I've not really been exersizing either..... I need to get back to it starting this week. I WILL exercize at least three times this week!. I have 5 more days to do it in...so I think I can make it! Anybody else want to try my mini-challenge?

Additionally, I am down again, to 185... I have no IDEA why I'm losing so fast! My carbs got up to 29 net yesterday, I havent been under 20 carbs in ages. I'm starting to get that ill feeling I had several weeks ago when I was under 20 carbs and made myself a little sick.. Maybe moving my butt will help some?

Hey Jamie! Back down in the 180's is AWESOME!!!!! And size 14? Woo Hoo I hate my gut too, and it seems to be the last place we see improvement I wore size 8's(around the house) the other day but still pretty tight-not suitable for the public yet. I STILL havent gotten back on my treadmill but Im thinkin about dusting off some of my old tapes(tae-bo, step tech, etc) and doing them for some variety. Ill check back later...

Congrats on size 8!

We got a Dance Dance Revolution mat yesterday (only 19.99 new!) It's really fun and it's great cardio. I did like 30mins to an hour.. I wasn't paying attention, and I was taking turns with DH

I did about 20 minutes of ddr today, it's a little addictive, I recomend it highly!

Jamie maybe you could try picking a date? Do the 'everybody' thing and recommit on new years?

I am going to aim for Saturday. I try a little bit everyday but keep going off. All of this holiday baking has sent me flying way off into the wild blue yonder.
I am at 196.5 today (with my shoes on) so MAYBE 195.5. I dunno... I have these new outfits I have to get into for Xmas and New Years. I bought them about a month ago. Then after watching the biggest loser finale....I felt like crapola. And then the vicious cycle begins. That Julie chick....OH MY GOODNESS!!! She was huge and now she is a twig.
I felt like junk, then guilty, so I said to myself,"screw it" then I felt bad and then I felt guilty and then I ate more junk and then I felt bad and then I felt guilty and so on and so on and so on. So here I am once again in the same place I started...complete chaos and no control.

My kids have DDR. I have never tried it. It looks like fun but I am always thinking negative and say to myself I can't do it.I actually got a different for my daughter for Christmas so now we will have 2 mats and a couple of tapes for it. Maybe I will try it after the holidays.

You are doing great. I will have to go back to induction...AGAIN. Keep up the good work.

You've done so well though.. You started at 288? that's almost 100lbs down! You KNOW you can do it, because you have already done it! If I were you I would wait till after christmas day and the holiday feasts and such, since cheating seems to get you really down and then you binge on bad stuff or whatever..I know this wouldnt be popular advice on this forum, but maybe just give yourself a break for a few days Let go of that guilt. And start fresh after christmas!

And take that "I suck" out of your sig!! You do not!

BTW DDR is hard! It took me 2-3 days of practice to be able to complete the 'lessons' I'm extremely uncoordinated. So don't get discouraged if you do try it.

Well Christmas sucked, I ate like a pig, got a full dose of vitamins W & V ...W being of course wine and whiskey (they're irish!) ..v being of course , vodka..Hey, it was mixed with juice that makes it healthy, right?!

I'm gonna start induction again, either tomorrow or the 1st, depending upon my new years eve plans that haven't solidified yet. Suffice to say I will PROBABLY get another good dose of vitamin V. If I re induct I will limit it to vodka and diet coke, however.

Hoping to hear from you lisa! And I got your PM jamie, maybe you can join me over in induction I started a new thread.

Cheri & Jamie! Im sorry Ive been absent-I caught a horrible cold and just cant shake it Ive coughed and coughed and had to take cough syrup and lozenges round the clock. I felt so bad that I just ate whatever made me feel good and its been heck getting back to strict LC. I got through yesterday with complete clean eating and I will weigh in after New Years. I know if I get on now and see all the extra water weight Ill just give up completely. I really wanted to exercise but right now I cant exert myself at all or I start hacking and cant stop. Now that all the crazy holiday stuff is over we can get back to business. Let's do it!!!

Yeah, I know you can get a pretty good workout on the DDR. My kids got one a few years back and I had alot of fun with it. Maybe I can get 'em to drag it out again. I just dont know how anyone does the advanced; I can barely keep up with beginner and light LOL I think I mentioned before how Im not very coordinated and it's really challenging for me!! Good luck with induction today-we did it before we can do it again
