That was too funny Paula My DH would LOVE a camo nighty on me. Half the time when I take him along shopping with me he points out all of the female camo stuff to me and then proceeds to show me all of the hiking boots and accessories in camo...UGH! My mom sent me a pink camo pajama set once and he LOVED me in it >^.,.^<

Here are two pics that DH took of me earlier this week. I am wearing a pair of size 12 jeans and one of his shirts that use to be really tight on me.

Today we went to the top of Pikes Peak on his bike. That was a pretty great ride. There is a pic of my little buddy the chipmunk. He was eating sunflower seeds out of my hand, crawling up my leg, and following me around. It was quite cool. Then a pic of me at the summit. The leathers that I am wearing were so tight on me at one time. Now they are way too big. Need to replace them one of these days.

Tonight we are having company. I am totally off the diet today. I will hop right back on it tomorrow. Hard! Is anybody up for a little competition to see what the week will bring? I will post my weight tomorrow...which I am sure will be at least 2 pounds higher than it was this morning.

Gonna run. I want to get a few more things done before people start showing up for free grub.

I think I could make that camo nighty! I'll post but not model it! I know Ive got material around here somewhere..

Love the chipmunk!

And I can see the difference in your new pics... youre doing so good..!

I have a before pic of me in overhauls and would love to do a "during" photo but Im really afraid I wont be happy. I still have so far to go! I was at 196 this morning.. I ate too much last week. Im going to try re-induction this week, and get that water in...

I'm trying to figure out a way to make a low carb cake for anniversary, I just really cant bring myself to eat real sugar... I know what can happen and I just dont think its worth it...
I'm sure there's some way to use almond flour and maybe whipped up eggs like an angel food cake.. cream cheese icing will be a breeze, its what the cake is made from that will be hard.. even found coconut flour, combine the two and surely get something edible!

181.5!!!!!!!! I gained 3 pounds yesterday!!!!!!! How annoying!

This week, I will:

>follow the plan- to the T. No side steps, no extras, no nothing
>drink my water- didn't do that yesterday. I know better.
>keep a notebook- write down everything that I eat or drink. I haven't done this yet.
>get back down to 177.5. There is no reason I can't do it. I don't ever want to be back in the 180's again. I have worked too hard to get past them.

I know how to do this. Been doing so well. Need to do it again.

Okay, I attempted a angle food cake this morning...

It didnt rise like it should but was good tasting, esp since it was only made with egg whites, unsweetened coconut, etc. I didnt use flour.. I tried making coconut flour by processing it down.. apparently wasnt light enough. Im not a big fan of coconut but it was pretty good. half gone now... lol...
If and when I get almond flour, I will try a regular cake. MOre later!

yea, I bought a notebook over the weekend just for that, havent wrote in it yet.. but I know it would help.. I was keeping up on the pc with Notebook, turned off the pc when it froze and lost 2 days of journaling.. oh well.. but I think keeping track would help..

G'Morning!

Just checking in real quick. Today I am back down to 179. I have been extremely good and will continue to be. Hoping that 177.5 gets here sooner rather than later.

My dress should be here on Friday. Hoping that I can squeeze into it and see that I am closer to wearing it than not.

Went to the thrift store yesterday with DD16 to look around. She found a formal gown for herself for $24!!! It is beautiful. Perfect color, perfect fit. Simple, doesn't show off her perfect figure. I told DH that we are gonna outshine him when we have to dress up. He grinned so big. It was great. So, then a little later I asked him what he was gonna do with two of us looking hot and he says, "I am gonna have lots of fun with one of you and guard the hell out of the other."

Also went school clothes shopping yesterday. $450 out the window. Didn't get much (shopped at Target and K Mart even,) didn't get shoes or jackets either! I know that when you divide that out by 3 kids, it really isn't a lot, but DD ended up with one pair of jeans and 2 shirts. DS13 has to have uniforms, so we bought those along with a couple of regular outfits for him. He is not kind to his clothes at all, so I read him the riot act on keeping them looking good for awhile. Oh well. What can you do?

I've been climbing back up with the weight!
Ive also been eating too much, today I cheated big time.. snack cakes! my reason was to go to the bathroom. things are moving but at a slow pace and its making me feel so bloated... I thought a good/bad cheat would do the trick, then back to induction again.
I didnt even bother to write anything down. oh well.. back to eggs and salads tomorrow.
I know it will take 3 days to get back to moving the weight..

I hate to say but I dont envy shopping for school clothes. I only have to pay our yearly fee for homeschool. I have to get new books and that adds up, so I guess we all pay one way or another.

this weekend is the 127 yard sale across the state.. Im hoping to venture out tomorrow and see whats out there. dont have money to spend but I love seeing the antique dealers out... etc... fresh pork rinds too.. lol.

have a good one~

I am at 178 today. Woo-hoo! Ketosis has kicked in, so I haven't been hungry this week. That is really nice.

Kids are all enrolled for school. The summer needs to hurry up and be over so that they will get out of my hair. They are getting really bored around the house, but getting them to do anything is near impossible.

Hope that you ladies have a great day!!

Hi Y'all,
I've been missing in action because this baby boy of mine is getting spoiled big time. He is loving TN big time! When I'm not spoiling him I am working with my sis-in-law and baking cakes. BUT the whole time I'm thinking about you guys

Paula BELATED HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! I hope it was a happy one for you...how did the camo nighty turn out ??
I feel your pain...when I get "plugged up" my first instinct is to eat starches too...but now I switch over to 500 mg of Magnesium. It works like a charm everytime, it doesn't give ya the stomach pains either. I take one at night and by the next day all I have to do is drink about 10oz of water and I'm just fine...hope you get some relief soon.

WOW Stacy You are doing good. You are TOOOOO ready for your cruise I wish ketosis would kick in for me. I have been doing better with my eating because I have been so busy, so maybe it will pay me a visit. Gotta post a picture of the new dress....and you wearing it.

OK kids, I wanted to stop in and visit for a bit and send my belated wishes to Paula and Hubby. Hugs to ya all....>^.,.^<

My dress came in yesterday. Tried it on (size 10) and it fit! But, it looked nothing like the dress shown online. So, took it to Macy's to return it and get the other dress that I have had my eye on. No big deal. Got there, returned the dress (I am out $16 shipping ) and the other dress had been sold! So, I am now out $16 and a dress. I am unbelievably bummed. It is ridiculous. We have another Macy's up at the north end of town, so I think that I may go there and see if they have it. If not, I am not really sure I want to keep looking at dresses.

I am down to 177. Doing well. I am coming up on PMS time, so I hope that I don't screw this up.

Anyway, gotta get the house ready for a birthday party for DS who is turning 8. He is having a friend spend the night after we do pizza, cake, and ice cream. Then, in the morning, after the kids wake up they are going to his friends house for his birthday party. The kids are gonna be on a sugar high for the next two days.

Hi ladies, thank goodness we finally have internet. I was going crazy. Things are real busy for me, now it's unpacking, repacking grandmom's stuff to make room for our stuff and taking care of family and grandmom. I'm wiped out.

I haven't been doing great but i'm still maintaining at 220. I have to get back on track. Come on Paula we can do it. We need to catch up to Stacy. LOL.

Stacy - your smoken in your size 12 jeans...lucky you. I haven't seen size 12 in YEARS.

That slice of pizza (and a few bites of birthday cake) cost me a pound and a half (178.5) and a really upset stomach today. Blech. I feel horrible. But, yeah, I ain't good all the time.

Mornin' All,

Stacy, BIG TIME BUMMER about the dress. I know how you feel when you just don't feel like "dress hunting". And to be out the postage is even harder. I HATE what "they" charge for shipping and handling in most cases it just doesn't make sense. Another "pet peeve" of mine is when they charge a "restocking charge" . Good Luck on your search.

Paula, I wish I had thought to post some of our "stuff" on ebay. I bet you get a lot of buyers for the fishing stuff. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE post your pix of the curtains. I am getting ready to re-do our camper and need all of the ideas I can get . I am even thinking about reupholstering the sofa. Have you ever done that? I don't think it will be that hard and I have done some of that stuff before. Keep us posted with pix.

Hey, wait a minute...I LOVE THE DARKSIDE Good to see ya again Justine. I hope life is getting better for you.

I thought I would let you all in on some pretty awesome news My son is doing Body For Life. He talked me into doing something similar. I eat 6 small meals a day, drink 8 ounces of water before and 8 ounces after every meal and last but not least, I exercise for 30 minutes 6 of those days. On the 7th day, like in the Bible, I have a day of rest. I lost 5 LBS this week!!! Yesterday was my free day and I even lost 1/2 lb. that day. On "free day" you can eat anything at anytime and in any amounts. I basically wasn't that hungry. Your servings can only be the size of your fist or the palm of your hand. It is awesome. I only had a headache the first day, I think because of the water I was drinking. I ate only low carb stuff and HONESTLY I was never hungry. I ate every 3 hours. Sometimes I wasn't even hungry at the time I was supposed to eat. My DS said the whole idea is to kick in your metabolism. It is working for me. Just thought I would share.
OK kids, I'm off to the salt mines...or better known as the house I am helping my sis-in-law fix up...UGH! No electricity yet, no bathroom yet and NO AIRCONDITIONING YET!!! I guess I am earning points for what I don't know. Ciao Bellas, >^.,.^<

Congrats Mary!!! 5 pounds in one week is way awesome! I did the Body for Life once upon a time. I really loved it, enjoyed it a lot! The worst thing that I had to say about it is I had to eat too often. Unfortunately, I didn't stick with it. Life got in the way.

I am starting the week at 177. I lost 1/2 pound more than my goal for the week. This week's goal is to lose 3 pounds. That would put me over my goal for the cruise. Well, my second goal. The first was to lose 50 pounds, done. The second was to get down to 175- almost there. The next goal will be to get down to 170. I have one month from tomorrow to get it done.

I did go dress shopping this weekend. Let me just say, I did not want to do that. But, DH talked me into it. I decided to go with a semi formal dress instead of a formal. I will have more chances to wear that instead of a formal. I bought 2 semi-formals, a jacket, crap from Wal Mart, extra junk at Ross and spent $180. Still had a dollar left from my dress. I bought one of the semi formals at Sears for $6!! No kidding. The other at Ross for $11. My sweetie loves them on me, I think that they look pretty good, I am set! When we go on vacation, I will have him take pics so that I can post them. BTW, my jacket is a size L. Not XL or 2 or 3X. That really lifted my spirits!

I am about 6 pounds away from being the same weight as my DH. I have never weighed the same as he has. I can wear his jeans if I want to. I tried them on, just to see.

Gonna go and get my shower scrubbed. I hate that job. But, I sure do love hopping in it after it has been done.

Hi mary (Great on 5lbs!)
Im just using new red top sheets to cover the cushions. reg fabric is just too much and this way I can pull them off and wash them. Im just doing a basic slip cover and will put velcro on the closings. my curtains are red/white plaid. picked up 7 sets for $5 a piece at BigLots. I have plently of toppers to use in my house kitchen and one set for a side window when I get ready to do something to the house. They all turned out good. HUbby even fixed my sewing machine. right in the middle it starts whining out on me.. It just needed oiling. Old Kenmore in cabinet; grandmothers. I hadnt used it in 4 or 5 years! cheap one downstairs finally died on me! get what ya pay for!
got a pillow painted with red cherries on it.. red/white stripe. Sewed up a white pillow with black huge dots on it. Its gonna be so retro & 50s. DD12 just laughs at me now. Im wanting some pink flingos! Cant find them now!~
We will be the tacky trailer in the parks!

got to finish the basement... its such a mess now!~

should I toss old letterman jackets without asking hubby, they are so dryrotted! ????

Stacy that last 7 will come off before your vacation. I Know you can do it..
cant wait to see those cruise pics! LOL!

Justine, glad to see you back online.. Hugs!

On our last cruise, I went off the diet, totally and it took me another year and a half plus 40 pounds to get back on track. So, this time around I will practice being a bit more diligant (sp?) with my new WOE. But, I do expect to indulge a bit. I am realistic. I do have excursions planned that will keep me a bit active this time. Gonna walk around Key West, snorkle in Grand Cayman, and play at the beach in Cozumel. Will also be exploring Castaway Cay. Haven't decided yet what I will be doing there, but it is such a beautiful island, there is so much I didn't get to see/do last time I was there, so no worries.

Down half a pound today. 176.5. I am getting there.... I have so many mini goals that I am about to hit. 1/2 pound and I will have lost 55 pounds. 1 1/2 pounds to be at my 2nd cruise goal weight. 5 pounds and I will weigh the same as DH. 6 pounds and I will weigh less than him for the first time ever. 6 1/2 pounds til my 3rd cruise goal weight. And 7 pounds til I have less than 20 to go! The way I figure it is, the more I can celebrate, the easier it is to keep going.

I don't have too much going on today. What I am gonna do is set up my childrens chores lists again. I don't know what has happened with them, but they are becoming major slobs and I am tired of it. I think that is the most exciting thing that I have going on today. Woo-hoo.
