Sorry to hear that the shakes are making you hungry. They keep me very satisfied. Maybe if you had eggs for breakfast and then a shake for lunch it would have a different impact on you appetite??? I don't remember where I read a post about people using various shakes and while many had success a few people said that they simply must chew to feel satisfied. Let me know if you change your routine or decide to give up the shakes. Whatever you choose, good luck! |

Saturday
Good morning everyone! The weekend is here and they are always a bit challenging for me. Why does weekend = eating? I don't know but they are a challenge. However, I am determined to continue to see the scale move so I will stay the course. Here is my plan for the day:
B: Atkins Shake L: Atkins Shake S: Ham/mayo/lettuce D: Roast beef/veggies I am going to lift weights and either do my TaeBo video or run. Have a great weekend! |

No Karla, I find they really keep my appetite at bay. Maybe you should drink the water first and wait a while before you have the shake?
So sorry it isn't suiting you . |

It's Sunday! I am taking the day off from exercise-yeah! I am hoping to have a lazy day. There is nothing better. I am not sure what my plan is for the day but I think I may eat whole foods today just to change things up a bit. I know that I am having egg white pancakes this morning (yum). Have a happy and successful day!

Today will be my first day of "shake meal replacement". I am starting at a good time. I was very, very bad this weekend. I am not going anywhere near the scale for a few days. I will keep you posted.

It's Monday!
Hi everyone! I hope that you had a great weekend, mine was good. I was not as lazy as I had hoped to be yesterday but it was a relaxing day. We took my youngest to see "Underdog" and out to get ice cream (I did not have any). Then I stopped by the grocery store so that I could come home and make low carb cheesecake. It is awesome but I do not think I will make it again unless it is for a special occasion because I want to eat the whole thing!
Here is my plan for the day: B: Atkins Shake (couple bites of cheesecake uggghhhh!) L: Atkins Shake S: Deviled Eggs D: Grilled chicken or hamburger/salad/green beans Exercise: Treadmill and weights My next mini goal is 165 and then I am going to post my progress pictures that I take at every 10 pound loss. Have a good and successful day!

Day one; no major complaints. Also, today was day two of working out. I am aiming to lose 30 more pounds by February. Is that too ambitious?

I think that is a very realistic goal! Glad to hear that you made it through day one with no big complaints, that is good news. The shakes are pretty tasty aren't they? Have a good day 2!

Day Two
Quote:
The shakes are not bad at all. I got strawberry, vanilla and two kinds of chocolate. I am down a pound from yesterday but I need to lose 5 more to get back to where I was before my "bad" weekend. It still surprises me to see how a high carb meal (okay, two ) can make my weight jump right back up.I did an hour of cardio yesterday. I am going to aim to do that 3 or 4 times a week. No weight training yet. I am meeting with a trainer on the 14th and hopefully I can get on a plan then. ![]() I will keep you posted. Have a great week! |

Great work you two!
Enjoy your evening Deeda, I am sure you will be able to make some good choices. It is so wonderful to see the scales hit a new low isn't it? On the maintainance thread we were discussing how hard it is to give that thrill up. It is one the tough things about reaching goal. I'll take it! |

We went out for wings tonight. Gotta be picky with the sauce but we did fine. I love seeing the scale drop. As far as you "maintainers" (lucky suckers), maybe keeping an old picture of yourself somewhere viewable would help. To remind you how far you have come. Homestretch: You are doing awesome! your EVERYTHING (except your boobs - jerk - LOL) has gotten much smaller. WTG! |

Good Morning! We took the family to the Melting Pot last night for dinner and everything was wonderful. However I ate too much and lots of things I have not eaten in a long time. Such as a few bread chunks (hey it's a fondue restaurant) and some fruit dipped in chocolate for dessert. I had planned on eating these things for one meal so mentally I was fine with it but my body was not. I got a really terrible stomach ache and I still have it this morning. It really feels like I have a rock in my gut.....not good. On a positive note we had a great time as a family and it was a fun experience.
*Deeda* Thanks for the compliment! Regarding the boobs...in the first picture my stomach was so much bigger than my boobs and the cami was so tight that it squashed them down. So my boobs just look a lot bigger in the second pic. It is totally amazing what 40 pounds does to a body (and it is not pretty)! Here is my plan for the day: Breakfast: Atkins shake Lunch: Atkins shake Snack: Ham/mayo Dinner: Chef salad Have a happy and successful day! |

Homestretch: I have a question, and you don't have to answer BUT here it goes... Since you have lost the weight; how is your body responding? Meaning, is your skin bouncing back? I am worried that having two kids and gaining 60 pounds has done a number on my skin. I guess I could get it taken off down the road if I had to but I am hoping it will tighten up some. Just curious.
I am back on track today. Back to 188. Not bad since I started the week at 195. Next week should be a good week. Deeda ![]() |

Friday
Happy Friday!
Today is yet another crazy, busy day. Here is my plan for the day: B: Atkins Shake L: Atkins Shake S: Cheese D: Roast and veggies *Deeda* My skin on my stomach is terrible but that came from having 3 kids (big babies by c-section ) not from the weight. My skin everywhere else is fine. I have a bit of saggy skin on my upper inner thighs but it is not noticeable unless you look for it(I don't want people that close anyway ). My boobs could be perkier but they are ok. I would take the skin issues over the fat any day of the week! At least when I am fully dressed people cannot see my skin but they could always see the fat. It sounds like you are doing awesome! Keep up the good work! |
