I got mine at Target. I have not looked at Wal-Mart. Mine were on sale for 4.99 a pack. The only flavor I have had is the Chocolate Royale and it is quite yummy.

Del - Thanks for the advice. I certainly am not going to quit just because of a little setback since I really like this plan. I hate the TOM cravings and every month I seem to cave into them. My hormones seem to win out! I will be glad when this week passes.

Second Week of Shakes Routine
Hi everyone! I am on my second day of my second week of the shakes routine! I still love how easy this is. Today I have to go to work, take one DD to swimming lessons and the other to a friend's house and not having to prepare a bunch of food makes it so much easier. I am still dealing with the PMS and that is never fun
Here is my plan for the day: B: Atkins shake L: Atkins shake S: Roast beef with Mayo D: Chicken breast/salad Exercise: Jog and lift weights Have a happy! ![]()

At Target all they had was chocolate royale and vanilla. I do not like vanilla so I have only had the chocolate royale and it is awesome. I have noticed on other threads that people drink all kinds of different shakes from GNC and I have tried a few different whey protein shakes but I find many of them to be too sweet. The Atkins shakes are creamy and not overly sweet which I like.

I got the atkins chocolate royale shake, it's really yummy! I also got the vanilla, but I'm not crazy about it. Walmart only had 3 flavors. Maybe I will look online. I've tried the strawberry, but didn't really like it.
I am one pound away from losing 10 so I am really motivated to keep this going and maintain my weight!! |

I have been reading this thread. It is interesting. I think I will stock up on shakes this weekend and give this method a try. Should I expect to be really hungry and annoyed the first few days/week? I have been doing LC for almost 16 weeks. I have lost 30 pounds but I want to lose 30 more. I have been "slipping up" too much lately and I need to get back into "weight loss" mode. The shakes idea seems promising, I just don't know if it will be enough to get me through the day.

I made a commitment that I would post to the thread daily even if I posted alone after all I am doing this for myself. I would like to try the caramel shakes that others have mentioned but have no idea where to find them. |

I did this for about a week a couple of weeks ago...only I did the breakfast bar, shake for lunch, and then dinner (usually shrimp or a broccoli/beef stir fry thing)...and I found that it gave pretty good results and is pretty easy when you don't want to have to worry about food all of the time (or just convenience) - strawberry was horrible in my opinion but the vanilla and the chocolate are

Thursday!
DJ~Glad to hear that the routine got you results! I have not tried the bars in years but back when I did they tasted like paint
.Today may throw me a curve ball but nothing major. I am taking my kids out to eat this evening. The cool thing is that they really do not like fast food so I should be able to get steak or chicken. I just finished my 3 mile walk in the steamy MO weather. Here is my plan for the day: B: Atkins Shake L: Atkins Shake D: Steak and salad???? Have a good day! |

I went to Walmart today and looked for these shakes. They did not have the Atkins ones. They had Slim fast chocolate royal. Are these the same?

I used to drink Slim Fast Shakes many years ago - then when my metabolism slowed down, my doctor told me that one of the reasons Slim Fast was no longer working for me was that it had a high level of carbs - and my body was not breaking down carbs the same. I don't know what the numbers on Slim Fast are now but you can go to atkins.com and check the nutritional information for Atkins Advantage Shakes.

167!
Yessssssssssssssss! I reached 167 today and I am dancing
in front of the laptop. My TOM has made the scale bounce around a couple of pounds this week but today I seen a loss a gain. It is so odd how I know that it is the TOM making the scale go up but it put me in crisis mode. That scale can really mess with my brain. I have lost 4.5 pounds since I started the shake routine and I am very pleased. I sometimes forget how much difference 4-5 pounds can make in my clothes and on my body. I do not want to forget that again! These pounds have eliminated my muffin top and gotten me back to being a perfect size 10. My fat tends to settle right in my belly and it is not too attractive .Here is my plan for the day: B: egg white and whey powder pancakes w/Walden Farms syrup L: Atkins Shake S: Atkins Shake D: Not sure but probably meat/steamed veggies/salad Have a happy and successful day! ![]() |

Congrats, Homestretch on the 4.5 loss and size 10 fit!!!
Yes, TOM brings total ups and downs when it comes to the scale - I kept a journal for comparison purposes - when I saw a sign of TOM, bloating, water retention - I already knew that the scale was going to read extra poundage (which is not real) - in a few days or so, I was back to normal. So, I can always look back and see the differences between real weight loss and false weight gain . . . I don't freak out about it and I can work with the weight loss journey better.Anyway, keep on keeping on!!! I am proud of you . . . WOOO HOOOO ![]() ![]() ![]() BTW, I just had an Atkins Advantage Shake for breakfast . . . I am soooo hooked on the chocolate! Last edited by delynmonet : 08-03-2007 at 07:38 AM. |

Hi Del! You're so right about the TOM thing. I wanted to make sure I posted about it here so that |
