Hi Ladies,

Great to be back. It was a much needed vacation. Got on scale this morning and down to 220. I can't wait to brake this 220 mark. I would really like to be at 200 by mid Aug but not sure if that is possible for me since I seem to be such a slow loser this time around on Atkins.

Stacy I know how you feel...I've been feeling like giving up the last few days. Yesterday a man asked me when i was due right in front of my husband, I almost bursted into tears.

Not sure of menu since I just got back and no one food shopped while I was gone.

B: Probable eggs if there is any
L: Tuna not sure on what yet.
D: Chicken Marinara and some veggie

Hi Justine!! We have missed you! Glad you're back. Sorry about the idiot guy. I had that happen to me once. A lady asked me when I was due. Told her I wasn't pregnant. She stood there and ARGUED with me, cuz she knew she was right. Thank goodness she wasn't.

I did the K/E yesterday. No cheats. Down 1 1/2 pounds today! I am at 186. I think I will keep going with this for a bit and see what happens.

Getting ready to go to a junkyard to look for parts for DD's car. It just doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me. Later this evening there is a Welcome Home Mission and we are gonna go to that and take the kids with us. Aside from that, I just need to pay bills today----and I think that I am gonna book our excursions for the cruise.

It is basically lean meats and eggs. No veggies, no dairy. Can have sugar substitutes. Today is harder than yesterday, but I think that the most of that is because DH has the day off. But, so far I have had coffee, water, and one of those packets of deli style, 1 serving, sliced chicken.

Went to the mall and tried on a couple of dresses and some leather for the bike. It is a bit more fun when your husband is with you and is almost as into it as you are. Hahahaha! He was pretty funny.

We are not gonna be able to go greet the soldiers that are coming in tonight. Forgot that DD has karate. She has been doing karate since she was in 4th grade, she is going into 11th this year. She is now saying that she is tired of it and wants to quit. I am debating with myself as to whether or not I should let her quit. On one hand, I know that she enjoys it so much when she goes, she often talks afterwards about needing to practice more and is really fired up. On the other hand, I hate the constant bickering and having to pay for it weekly if she doesn't want to go. What do you think? For now, I am making her go to class.

Alrighty, I am outta here for a bit. Gotta finish paying those bills!

Hey girls~

Ive been so busy Ive not been able to post but sure have miss it...

Im down to 197.5...thrilled...

I"ve not been eating like I should... not stopping to eat etc...

I took a quick trip to Kentucky and picked up an old 71 Sprite camper... looks like the Scotty that is so collectable. This is only 12ft long.. just enough room for me and DD12. I was so proud of myself for hauling it back without accident etc. A friend went with me. I'm now looking for parts and pieces to get it back into shape... I cant wait to take it camping.. If I can figure how to load a pic, I will.. DD12 wants to do retro coca cola, but I think we should it 50's etc. Hubby is not happy but when are they! DD12 told him he can stay home if he dont like it.... I miss camping..

Im eating some faux potato salad, cauliflower. its awesome...

Justine, glad your back,..hang in there.. I thought my numbers would never move but it must be our bodies trying to hold on to fat.. keep it up .. It will start moving down..and go for that goal... I want to get to 185 by end of august... wanna race??? LOL 15lbs in 1.5 months... think we could do it???

who wants to do it??? a number? 10, 15 or 20lbs by Aug 31st???

Great job, Paula!!!

I love the idea of fixing up the camper 50's style. Also love the retro Coke style. Shoot, if you go with that, there is an excuse for a road trip to Vegas. They have a HUGE Coca-Cola store there. It has everything!

I am on day 3 of K/E. I am down 3 pounds already!! It is a bit harder than I thought it would be. Along with that, I think that it is PMS time. As my DH so boldy informed me. But, today feels a lot better than yesterday.

I tried on my size 14 jeans today. Still a little tight, but I could wear them without looking too bad. Instead I chose to put on a pair of 16's that I have. They are two button jeans. One button right next to the other. I was upset when I put them on cuz I thought I lost a button. Then I noticed that I didn't do that, I had the inner button buttoned in the wrong deal. So, that made it a tighter pair of pants and I didn't even realize it! That probably won't ever happen again. Sure felt good, though.

My new goal is to lose another 14.5 pounds before September. That would put me at 170 instead of 175. Here's hoping!

Wow you ladies are doing really well. Keep up the good work. I have to get a little stricter this week I notice that since I got home and have to face the packing and the other stresses that I want to go off plan.

OK, here is my new update...1 more pound lost since yesterday. 4 pounds so far since Monday! Woo-hoo! Tomorrow afternoon I am gonna do a water fast until Sunday afternoon. At least that is what I am going to attempt. It shouldn't be too excrutiating, I haven't been eating too much this week already. Then again, we will see how I feel once I start it.

OK, down another pound! I have started the water fast. Will continue it through Sunday morning. So far, so good. Then again, I am only 5 hours into it. 43 more to go! LOL!

hello everyone.. just cking in.

Long day ... went 4wheeling with some friends , took them to windrock.. awesome place. i was wanting to do easy trails but ended up on moderate which was kinda rough in places... just fun! Ended up by myself because DD12 chickened out on us when we had to cross some big rocks.. Had to drive hubbys while he rode with her on hers. I cant shift manual .. his is auto. mine is electric shift, but dd19 & her hubby had mine... we swapped around a few times..
I really wish we had street bikes like you girls have... Id love to do some real pleasure rides...

I was at 197 and the scale, digital, kept flipping between 197 & 195. I'm counting the .5 as gone but sure wanted it to stay at 195.

what are you girls trying.. a new method of losing...?
I have to admit Ive not been eating as many salads but more meat.. hows this going so far?????

I"m gonna surf for awhile then head to bed. Im so tired.

I have never been 4wheeling before. That sounds like so much fun! That is something that is on my to do list.

Well, my water fast didn't last. Forgot that I was to help a friend move yesterday, so I ate a hamburger patty before I left. Got there, started helping out and all of a sudden I thought I was gonna pass out. My sight was way off, everything was a blurry white. It was nuts!! Nothing like that had ever happened to me before. Anyway, I went off plan and ate a slice of pizza, hoping that would help. We ended up leaving shortly after getting there. I was feeling BAD! I ended up with a horrible migraine. I was down and out for the rest of the day. Also, I stayed off plan (intentionally, hoping that would help my body recover.) So, I had pot roast, potatoes, carrots, and half a breadstick for dinner. Not a lot of any of it, but that was what I had. I finally called it a night around midnight. Today I woke up feeling pretty energetic. And 1 pound heavier than yesterday. I am cool with that and back on track today.

Including yesterday, this is day 7 of the K/E diet for me. I started the week at 187.5. Today I am at 182. I am gonna do another week like this, cuz next weekend is my birthday and I know that the kids are wanting to make me a cake and DH has a great HC dinner planned. So, I know that next Sunday I will probably put on another pound or two. But, if I can take off 5 or 6 before then, it will all be good. And, of course, I need to remember to eat in moderation.

DH is smoking a turkey for dinner tonight. I can't wait! Been really wanting turkey for awhile now. Dunno why, it's not Thanksgiving! Along with that, I will have a deviled egg. The rest of the family will have that and mashed potatoes and gravy.

Thought I'd ck in..been very busy packing up my house then running to grandmom's to pack up her house so we can fit our stuff in....very nerve racking.

I haven't been staying strictly on plan...mostly but not strictly. Yesterday, DH took me to dinner at Morton's I got crab cake (no fillers) and scallops wrapped in bacon, veggies were spinach and mushrooms and potatoes sauted in onions and bacon.

Today I had a chicken sandwich from McD's, i felt like i was going to pass out it was so hot out and grandmom's house was so hot upstairs.

Well more packing tomorrow...check in later.

Well I weighed this morning and I am at 220...not bad since I haven't been eatting clean..I'm really sore from packing at Grandmom's house...it was so hot in there I think I sweated out any extra calories/carbs. LOL.

Hope you ladies are doing better than I am with staying on plan. Once things get settled i'll do better, plus I have to say i'm not eatting sugary food but high carb foods.

Paula - i hear ya..i'm so behind too.

When things settle down I will get more serious, it's just been real hard trying to keep on track with stress coming at me from all sides.

Then today, i have to deal with my DS4 who has taking to hitting his best friend...I'm hoping it's just the stress of the move and he'll get past this. I'm not sure how to stop it.

Hey Ladies!!

I am still at 182. Having a week.... There was a drive by shooting night before last. Someone shot a gun down our street and sped off. My DD and her BF were outside at the time. I dunno if they were shot at or not, but it sure has really gotten to me. Not sleeping, really stressing out, TOM, etc. And I binged a lot yesterday! I am really hoping that things settle down a little bit so that I can get a better grip on my life.

DD took me to lunch today. Red Lobster even. I had the seafood Caesar salad. It was really good. Then we went to the mall. Tried a dress on and she told me that I am looking really skinny. She woke up on the right side of the bed this morning.

My DH did a phone interview with one of the regional managers for the job that he is wanting a few days ago. They have scheduled a second interview for next week when the managers fly into town. Wish him luck. This job would mean so much for us. He works so hard and so many hours now that we hardly see him. This job pays better, work from home, weekends off, and it is a job that he would excel in.

Will check in later. Gonna run. The kids are at the mall right now, so I am gonna lie on the couch and see if I can catch a quick nap.

Happy Weekend, Ladies! Hope that it is a stressfree one for you!!

I am down to 179.5 this morning! Woo-hoo, Me! LOL! Called DH at work to tell him cuz I was so excited. 4.5 pounds away from my original cruise weight goal. He pointed out the fact that I now weigh only 8 pounds more than he does. I can't wait to be smaller than him, I have never weighed less than he has. Not too much longer from now.

Tomorrow the kids and DH are planning on making me a big birthday dinner complete with birthday cake and ice cream. That should cause me to gain a couple of pounds. They are planning on going all out. I told them that whatever they make, I will eat. But, they cannot complain when I don't eat a whole lot. So, today, I will be very good.

Stacy, Happy Belated...

I'm slow when it comes to dates and paying attention.

I've been floating around 195. Found 194 but then went to 197. I might be eatting too much even if its legal foods.

I need to up my water.. I was dropping lbs when I kept water with me at all times.. Now Im drinking diet sodas and the sodium is working me over. You'd think Id figure this out and leave them alone. Duh!

I bought size 16 shorts the other day.. still fitting some 18s but they are loose. If I could cut this belly flop off Id be good. Ive lost my butt for sure and the boobs are gone! My gut needs to be in the relocation program.
I found a rebounder at a yardsale but havent got on it seriously.. need to...
Just cant find the time.. I could bounce during the soaps!

Hope everyone is okay.. I'll try to be back on later... hugs yall!

Stacy my daughters 13th birthday was sunday. So between packing and checking in on two sick grandmom's I was planning a surprise party for her.

I haven't checked my weight, scale is packed, but my SIL told me I look thinner. Always a good sign. I haven't seen her in quite a while.

Thanks Ladies! Had a pretty good birthday. It started out crappy, but ended well.

Yesterday, DH set up a nice, romantic dinner for us. He set up a table complete with tablecloth, candles, wine, and romantic music on the stereo. He made salad, grilled ribeye, baked sweet potato, and garlic bread for dinner. It was so odd not helping at all with dinner. DS13 made the best chocolate cake that I have ever had for dessert. I ate a little of everything, wrapped up and froze most of my piece of cake, and still lost half a pound. But, one of the best parts of the evening was we decided that we need to do nights like that at least once a month. We are gonna rotate as to who is in charge of the evening. So, it is my turn next month.

Well, today is back to normal around here. Got a little bit of computer work to do today, gotta clean the house a bit. I am not sure what I will be eating yet. I know that for dinner I am making hot wings and homemade mac and cheese.

Will check in later. Hope that you have a great day!!

I'm on a rant!
I just had to dish out 474.00 to verizon !
we went over minutes. I thought when they advertized unlimited incoming calls it meant anyone.. land line or cell.. well nOOOOO! My DD12 chatted with her girlfriends over 700 minutes.
I actually cried when I talked to customer service.. then my husband beeped thru... he got the billing text... I thought I was just gonna have a breakdown!
I had to pull savings to cover the bill. needless to say I turned the house phone back on. thought I was saving money by just using our cells.. I think what got me.. verizon told me to pay atttention to my mins.. but when you think incoming calls dont matter.... agh! I wanted to cancel all our phones but with the bill and fees , it would have been 1000.oo to get out of the contract. Im tired from crying and the stress... I guess I can chaulk this up to another expensive lesson... and pay atttention to their misleading internet specials.. I swear it said all incoming calls.. not verizon to verizon.. they already had that.. gosh Im dumb...

had to vent....
hugs!

I feel for you. My mom had her purse stolen and called Verizon right away to cancel but it takes an hour to put the phone on freeze. Within that hour the person made over 100.00 worth of calls and Verizon said she was responsible for them. I pitched a fit but they wouldn't budge.

Ladies you may not hear from me for a little while since I have left the computer for the last item to be packed. I will check back in as soon as internet is setup in grandmom's house.

My anniversary is the 8th of August, anyone got ideas as to what to do for hubby... every year is a disappointment, he dont get how special it is to me... must be a man thing...

I'm lucky if I get out for dinner. It will be our 20th. I asked him if he wanted to do anything and he said he didnt know....agh!

Should I try to surprise him or just go do something on my own... last year I went to the movies with the girls because he didnt think I wanted to do something.. told me he thought about buying me some flowers.. I told him" shoulda coulda woulda dont get it"... and I walked off. His father was horrible towards his mom when it came to things like that.. so I guess he gets it from his parents. I just dont want to get hurt again...but dont want to force something fake from him....but Im tired of "nothing".

Hi Y'all,
I have been keeping up on your posts...just haven't had a spare moment to type. You guys are soooo cool. So supportive to each other and then I go and drop out. I have been getting ready for my son (he has been here a week now) and helping sis-in-law get 2 rental properties ready for rent. What a job and fiasco. Just get one thing done and another pops up. The properties have been idle for a year and most of the pipes etc have dried up. What ever "critter" that could, did move in. We had to paint every room, rip up carpets, replace all appliances, completely remodel the bathroom and mow, mow mow. There is an end in sight with the 1st house and pretty soon we will be able to do the 2nd house. With all of this going on we had to also pare down two rooms for son. He is going to be with us for a while and then off to his own place. It is so nice to have him here. We are getting caught up on all sorts of stuff. He is a great kid (going to be 40 in February 2008).

My heart goes out to you Paula Jean...Verizon is P-O-O-P! How much would they loose if they swallowed a little bit of your bill? And Justine...as far as I am concerned that is such bad business for a company to not cover your mom when her purse got stolen. It should have been covered from the time she called. There are forums about Verizon that would make your hear curl. DH belongs to a cell phone forum and they all "scream" about Verizon .

Paula Jean Why don't you sit DH down and give him a couple of choices as to what to do for your anniversary. Twentieth is pretty special. You could plan together a weekend in the Smokies with a hot tub etc, or go to Nashville for a show...or maybe Fall Creek Falls for a romantic weekend. I had the same problem until I made DH be part of the plans. His dad wasnt' a very good role model either, so doing nothing seemed to come easy to him too. What ever happens, I hope you 2 have a wonderful time and "re-connect". Happy Anniversary I was reading in one of your posts also that you got a rebounder. I LOVE MY REBOUNDER. I do about 5 10 minute sessions through out the day. It is a good cardio workout and makes me feel great and less hungry. I do it right before a meal and don't end up over eating. Hope you enjoy it.

...belated that is Stacy. Your Bday sounded wonderful.

OK kids, I am off and running...I think about you all everyday and keep you in my good thoughts ...C-Ya soon, >^.,.^<
