Hello girls~!

I cheated yesterday~ I'm not feeling so bad about it... not gonna beat myself up over it. DD had made a cake and I had a slice. I dont know if the ice water I drank with it gave me a headache or what.. but I just made sure dinner was lite and drank lots of water. I was up 1.5lb this morning.. but thats okay.

Its so hot today, worked on our yardsale. thought no one would stop, then they came in all at once. Tomorrow should be better... I put suncreen on my cheeks and forgot my nose... I have a red nose! I look funny.

Munched on left over pork roast and almonds today.
I made the egg/bacon/cheese/flaxmuffin this morning.. was really good.
Gonna skip dinner. Unless i just eat a salad...
I made my menu but never got it posted.
I cant come up with new things. that linda's recipe site is really good.

205.5 this morning.
I'm bouncing like tigger, I tell ya~!
Justine, I carry my weight in the middle and I feel like I will never get rid of it. Its how most of my family is shaped. lets hang in there and Im sure our waists will return one of these days.

Hugs!

Oh.. who has a hot tub? Have you heard that it helps melt fat away.. do you think its true or BS? just wanted to ask.

Good evening! I have a hot tub. I do think it melts fat away, just for the simple fact you want to look good when you get out there in your bathing suit (or birthday suit if you are lucky! ) Really, though, I don't think that the tub does anything.

We met up with some friends yesterday and the first thing I heard was, "You are looking so good!" Gotta love friends like that!

I confess. I cheated pretty big yesterday. And you know what, I don't care! We went to a friends house for dinner. He grilled burgers and hot dogs. I ate one of each- with buns!!! But, I did stay away from the chips, crackers, ice cream, and everything else. Had a great time. Paying for it today, but it is all good!

Today, my DD and I went to the mall and we decided to try on a couple evening gowns. I fit into a 16 pretty easily, and even a couple of 14's!! I couldn't believe it. I did find a beautiful black dress that looked great on me (size 16) and couldn't find it any smaller to try it on. I actually was able to get upset because they didn't have SMALLER clothes for me to try on! Woo-hoo!! DD is a size 4 btw... I only wish. I now have no doubt that if I keep up what I am doing, a 14 will be doable. Possibly even a 12. After that we went to the leather store and we were trying on chaps. The pair that I currently own are a size 4X. They were pretty tight when we bought them. I put on a size XL today. WOW! This time DD fit into a XXXS. She sucks. Anyway, that was the most fun I have had trying on clothes- ever.

I carry a lot of weight in my stomach area. Always have. Even when I weighed 130 I had a belly. I figure that I probably always will. But, you know what, I am ok with being healthy and carrying a pooch if that is how it is.

I haven't eaten at home today since breakfast. I am sure that I have gone over on carbs, but I am hoping not too much.

B: Sausage balls
L: Taco salad (it had little salad...had refried beans that I tried to eat sparingly)
D: salad, grilled chicken breast, and steamed broccoli from I-Hop. It was really good!
one sip of a root beer float from Sonic

I'm back to 224 this morning I yesterday I was down to 221, I almost feel over. I think TOM is due and that's why the big jump.

Yesterday the only cheat i had was a small amount of scalloped potatoe to see if done. Gosh they were good.

Yesterday:
B: can't remember
L: tuna and mayo
D: jerk chicken&green beans&sm amout of scallop potatoes

Today:

B:None
L: provolone&ham roll ups 4 large strawberries
D: roasted peppers and salad

I gain weight in my stomach, hips, wide flat butt, arms and face. I have skinny legs. I just hate that I have to lose so much more for it to show than others.

Oh well at least I'm losing.

Starting Wed. my 2 neighbors are going to start walking with me in the morning. One needs to lose 50lbs the other 150.

Morning! It is Saturday morning, DH is at work, kids are still in bed. It is nice and quiet around here- for the moment.

There is not too much going on today. Gotta run to the store to buy the boys food for dinner tomorrow. DH and I are going on a motorcycle ride with friends and won't be here. We are gonna do about 350 miles. I was thinking about taking my bike too. Then I thought about the price of gas and even in a motorcycle that will come out to $25-$30 per bike. I guess that I will be on the back of his again...

I will weigh in today since I will be gone tomorrow. 192.5. Slow and steady. That needs to be my motto. I really have no clue what I am gonna eat today.

Hello ladies~!
Its a boring Saturday, wish I had the nerve to be on the back of a motorcycle. I do good to get on the back of ATV with hubby. Rather poke along on my own atv.
Finished the yardsale.. only a $61 profit. But at least we hauled all the rest off to goodwill. Lots of good clothes but none that I wanted to be back into.

Hey STacy, I worked at a Bridal Shop a few years ago. Those evening gown and prom dresses/wedding dresses , well the sizes arent the same as our reg store clothes. Girl, you done really good ~ the 16 would actually fit a size 13/14. so you are really doing better than you thought!

Justine, just remember thats probably water weight. Ive been doing the same thing. Im trying my best to stay away from the scales for right now.

I got back in gear. Trying not to cheat, I did eat 3 breaded butterfly shrimp last night. But all veggies and salad, baked fish and seasoned shrimp. I figured the breaded shrimp wouldnt kill me. I think it helps me for controling my cravings, that I can say no when I want. Last year, I would have ate all breaded and carb loaded stuff. (we ate out btw)

B: 2egg scramble with moz cheese
L: Boneless Chicken Thigh meat ( leftover venison, too) w/ 5 spice seasoning & salad with lots of cucumbers
D: Dunno

Friday was 203.5
Im still bouncing but at least its bouncing down and not going back up too far.
I picked up a exercise book (8 minute exercises) not what I thought it would be. But I'm gonna try it. Its 8 mins a day but of different areas. Like shoulders/back one day, then hips and thighs the next. Maybe not a total money drain. It has a diet program in it... kinda carb friendly but focuses on the plate and how its used. LIke 1/4 is for meat, 1/4 low carb altern, 1/2 salad or veggies. Just interested in the exercises. But at least the guy focuses on good carbs.

I'm heading out. I have to get out of the house. take care~!

Paula, if I have never told you before, I love you! You made my day!

Today's menu:

B: pepperoni and string cheese (how lazy, huh? )
L: Chicken Caesar Salad (if you haven't tried the Fresh Express brand, it is so good!! 5 carbs per serving, 2 1/2 servings per bowl. I ate the whole thing! )
D: Grilled chicken breasts topped with cheese and sauteed peppers, onions, and mushrooms and steamed cauliflower with cheese sauce

Stacy, Im just proud of you that you are doing so good ~! a little jealous but thats what keeps me going.. LOL~!!! Hugs!

I'm dreading going upstairs to weigh-in. I ate a whole bowl of SF white chocolate pudding last night. I made it with heavy whipping cream 2/3 cup made into 1 2/3 after adding water. Then put about 3 T of coconut milk to thin it, it was very thick, I also added about 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut. I was so good and tasty. Like Coconut Cream Pie without the crust.
I dont even want to think how many carbs I took in, but I enjoyed every bite (in front of the PC).
We had steak with fried Brussel Sprouts, I cant remember who turned us on to those but my husband just loves them, He said two or three times last night just how good they are.. he dont talk much either! LOL
I have to have the propane tank refilled today, had to do steak on stove becasue I left the grill on last week and it slowly leaked out.

I think Im going to try to go swimming today. I'd love to do some water exercise, I need to find a book on how to do that.

Have a good sunday~!

Hi Ladies (Mary where are you? Missing ya!!)!!

We got home just a little bit ago from a long day of riding the motorcycle up in the mountains. It was a gorgeous day out. I got a bit of sun; I will be hurting tomorrow!

Didn't weigh myself this morning. Will do that tomorrow. I am retaining water. My ankles are pretty swollen. They haven't done that in quite awhile.

Just wanted to get on here and post todays menu. After this, my tired butt is off to bed!

B: ham, broccoli, & Swiss omelette and I substituted some of the worlds best hashbrowns for cottage cheese. I am such a good girl.
L: hamburger patty with salsa, jalapenos, & guacamole and some more cottage cheese (instead of fries. Did have three of those off of DH's plate. Might tasty) Until today, I didnt realize how many places serve cottage cheese. Who knew?
somewhere in there I had a Jack and Diet Coke other than that it was tea or water all day long
D: bowl of Grape Nuts (only cuz DH said I needed to eat)

I was wondering about Mary the other day, too. I bet she is very busy with wedding cakes. Since she is in an area thats very busy with Wedding Chapels. I'm sure thats what's keeping her busy. I could stalk her down since she's only an hour away! LOL!

I'm still bouncing around 203.5. was 205 yesterday.
I so so want to be under 200. Even 199.5 would make me happy.
I went walking with my DD12 last night. Short 15min walk. I'm hoping we can load our bikes into the truck and go for a ride somewhere. just hard to find decent places. I got a bike rack for the mini van but dont trust it not to bust the glasswindow in the back. Id hit a bump and it would be gone. I need to return it today.
I got hooked on the SF pudding. I did banana cream and added the coconut last night. Needless to say, Im getting some movement in the potty dept. I hope it dont cause me to stall.
Pms is close by and I could eat small animals and children. I picked up plenty of legal treats and foods last night. Ive not ate this morning but need to make some eggs. They do tie me over till noon or later.

Okay. Im done rambling..

Yesterday
B:Left over Steak/squash/Zucc(just craved it early a.m.)
L:Ham Salad on PorkRinds
D: bowl of SF pudding, baked chicken breast w/SF spag Sauce/Moz cheese.
More Squash/Zucc, fried Cabbage with Bacon.

Today:
B:Eggs&
bacon
L: CrabMeat Salad & greens
D: Meatloaf & green beans. Deviled Eggs.

WATER! Ive been drinking the crystal lite drinks like crazy. I need to drink more pure H2O.

Well yesterday my DD12 and I replaced our kitchen floor wow what alot of work that was. Unfortunately I didn't eat clean. I had eggs and sausage for breakfast but my mom brought chinese over for dinner. I had a small bowl of chkn chow mei fun and scoop of white rice and 4 steamed dumplings. So needless to say I'm not stepping on the scale.

Today:

B: 2 eggs
L: Tuna and salad
D: Not sure maybe hotdogs (i have 0 carb ones)
and some type of veggie.

I think that TOM is right around the corner for me too. Today I weigh 194. So, hopefully it is just water weight and it will go away soon...

Yesterday's menu:
B: pepperoni and string cheese
L: knockwurst and sauteed peppers and onions
S: couple homemade peanut butter truffles (big clue that PMS is setting in)
D: hamburger patty

You know, come to think of it, that knockwurst was really salty. Maybe that is what is messing me up today?

Today's menu:
B: ?
L: BLT salad
D: grilled shrimp and roasted veggies

Hi Kids,
Yep, I have been busy with wedding cakes. I also snuck a Yard Sale in for fun...I do believe it is the last one I will ever have in my lifetime . I had been putting it off for a while because we kept getting threats of rain. I finally couldn't wait any longer so I went ahead and did it. We got one real heavy storm that lasted for about 20 minutes and that was all. We had a canopy over us so everything was protected. We didn't do too well, but we got rid of everything. After it was over DH had a charity pick up the rest of the things.
We are getting ready for our son to move out from CA. He is discouraged out there with the high cost of living and lack of jobs. He should be here by mid July. I CAN'T WAIT!!!! I talked to him about 3 weeks ago and he said he wasn't happy there... I mentioned maybe he needed a change and he was so up for it. He loves to hike and bike so he will love it here.
You guys are doing great. Your meals look fantastic. I have been trying to keep the veggie intake up so that I keep my energy up. So far it is working. I don't do scales but the clothes are starting to hang looser.
Lastnight we went up to the Smoky Mt. Nat Park to see the synchronized lightning bugs...THAT WAS AWESOME!!! If you ever get a chance you might want to check it out. I do believe the park and some place in India are the only places in the world that have this phenomenon. It is amazing. I'm not sure how long it lasts, but the park has the shuttle running for only this week every year to see it.
OK kids...I am going to go back and read some of the postings so that I can catch up. I read a few and need to read the rest...I learn so much from you Young'uns.
Have a great day.....>^.,.^<

Mary, Great to hear from you!
I did miss the Lightning Bugs, and wished we had got up that way. Was it crowded? We did a yard sale this past Thurs and Fri and a big rain cloud passed over us and went into Morgan County. After we packed up and took off donations, we got caught in Oak Ridge with a real strong storm. I believe this was Friday.
Hope your son enjoys Tennessee! I've heard there's plenty of jobs your way, especially in carpentry, I guess building the cabins is where its at. Best wishes for him~!

Justine!!!!! 4 lbs down~ ! I guess you did a little happy dance infront of the scales~!

Stacy, Ive been eating too many salty foods, and it does it to me everytime. I have water pills, but I hate to use them, rather flush retained fuilds out with water. I have to give up the pork rinds for awhile.. thats where I'm getting too much salt. but they are soo good with Tuna Salad/Ham, cheese dips.. ...hummm.. TOM is closer than I think~!

I've got the house to myself, DD12 is gone to a friends house. I'm gonna fix dinner for DH later, since Ive already ate a big Crabmeat Salad. I ended up eating leftover chicken for B&L, so I had the Salad for dinner.

Went swimming with my girls. Got back in and was treading/jogging in a lap lane, a lady told her kids she would be back since she was joining a track team, my DD19 got so tickled at her. The lady went on to say she always wanted to run track. She was cute. She went a little ways with us. Told DD19 we should do that more often , be good exercise since neither of us are good swimmers.

I picked up Xylitol today at healthfood store. I hope I can figure out what to do with it, I ve seen it in many recipes. Its hard to find LC products around here. Has anyone bought from the netritions.com??
I'm still trying to find almond flour that I can afford~!

More later~~!

Mary - good to hear from you. I'm glad to hear your clothes are getting looser. Even though I'm losing I can't seem to go down a size, very frustrating.

Hi All,
I guess that is why I measure my weight loss by the way my clothes fit because the scale hasn't budged with me either. I hate when that happens. I know this time of year it is mostly "water weight". I really hold in water if I drink a lot and eat saltier foods. I try to stay away from the salty foods but sometimes I am only in the mood for lunchmeat and cheese and we all know how much salt is in that. It all works out eventually. Keep up what ever you are doing Justine...pretty soon the scale will move.
I have been sticking to 35 minutes of exercise everyday and I am going to try to kick it up to 40. I use a rebounder 10 minutes, gazelle 10 minutes and walk up and down our steepish driveway for 15 minutes. Everyone says muscle weighs more than fat...I'm holding them to it !
I would love to have a swimming pool...I think water exercises are the best...especially when it is so dang hot outside. I read somewhere that water exercises are like weight lifting, aerobic and isometric all-in-one...works for me
Paula Jean...we had our Yard Sale on Friday and Saturday. We didn't make much but met some real neat people. We are just happy to be rid of all of that stuff that took up sooo much room. Did you have many people at yours? About the xylitol, I use it in conjunction with stevia. Too much xylitol can keep you running to the bathroom. It is a sugar alcohol I believe. You can also use it with Splenda or any other sweetener. I had a little cramping when I used it by itself...but I think I am real sensitive to sugar alcohol. It is supposed to be from a natural source..I think it is from birch bark or something like that.
OY VEY...I am in such agony. I think I got eaten alive by the chiggers the night we went to see the lightning bugs. I can't stop scratching...anyone have any home remedies to offer??
OK kids, have to go cook din-din. Have a great evening...>^.,.^<

Chigger bites? Eww!!! Calamine lotion and also baths with oatmeal. I haven't had issues with chiggers in years. Thank goodness!

Well, this week I am up 3 pounds. It has to be PMS, cuz I am really not overdoing it. I need to hide the darn scale again. I was really hoping to make it to 189.5 this week. I suppose it won't happen for me yet.

Took DH to the mall yesterday and showed him the evening gown that I want to get for the cruise. That was the first time that he has ever seen me in anything like that. It was kinda cool. Haven't bought it yet. I still have 85 more days to go... But, the next time I try dresses on, I am gonna have DD take a couple of camera phone pics so that I can put them on the computer and show y'all. Along with that will be something so that I can see what differences are made between now and cruise time.

The weather here is kinda nasty today. It is really making me want to do a lot of nothing. I need to get moving, but I have no energy.

Todays menu:
B: bacon and hard boiled eggs
L: leftover grilled shrimp & 1 peanut butter truffle
D: Seoul chicken (new recipe to try ) and green beans with bacon

L: Grilled chicken salad
D: Left over taco salad stuff

Went to Splash country today with my DDs and one of their friends. Went down slides I didnt think I would do.. broke my new sunglasses.

Im holding water too, just waiting to start, Might be a brief period from the abation, but I still get all the symptoms that go along with it.

Mary Im sure its the salty foods and the heat, but when the scales dont move it dont help, still depressing. I guess I got spoiled by watching the pounds come off then slwwwwwwwww down

Hello!! I hope that you ladies are having a great day today. Mine has been pretty good.

Went to Wal-Mart today. Tried on a pair of jeans. Size 14. Too tight, but I could zip and button those puppies up! Of course I had to rearrange some belly and see the ugly muffin top that goes with trying clothes on that don't fit yet. BUT, I did it! I did buy a top, size 14 that fits nicely. I am quite happy about that. I have been buying jeans and shorts to wear, but not really any new tops, so most everything that I have is too big.

The three pounds that have hit me this week have gone away. I should be starting any moment now. I have always had issues with regularity, so it is anyones guess as to when it will actually happen.

There may be a new job available for DH here shortly. I don't wanna say too much and jinx it, but if it happens it would be perfect for us. He would be paid more money (after a 90 day probation. Til then money will be really tight,) work less hours (that is the biggest thing) and it is a job that he has always wanted. Wish us luck. Hopefully, we will know a little more in about a week maybe two.

DD16 got her drivers license yesterday. So far, she hasn't asked to drive without me yet. I am really surprised. Kinda thankful too.

I went to make an omelette this morning for my sweetie and the first egg I cracked open was bloody! I am not a huge egg fan to begin with and that really disgusted me.

Today's Menu:
B: none
L: 2 hamburger patties
D: stew meat in brown gravy over cauliflower rice

Howdy Ya'll. TGIF!!!

I got into SF candy and Ive paid for it all day. Was going to go out with DH but stayed in because my stomach was so bloated.

I have to tell someone about what I did today, beside being gasy. I found an old trunk at a yard sale today, actually one a friend of mine was having... Its the type that has the hump on the top. It had been painted black and had some neat decorations on it, but it wasnt in very good shape, been tacked together and stuff missing etc. but so cool. I took it home and made a planter out of it. Yes a planter. It now sits on the corner of our unused walkway at the front of the house. I filled it with peagravel, potting soil, added a few trailing vines and some Gerber Daisies, etc. and topped it off with some mulch. Its so cute esp with it's lid opened. I cant wait till the flowers really mature. The trunk only cost $20. If I can find some batteries, I'll get a pic and see if I can get it posted on here... I think thats about all the good Ive done this summer!~ I stole the idea from a nice neighborhood with the expensive landscaping, but never thought Id find an old antique trunk to use.

B: SF pudding.. bad paula~
L: ham/cheese rollups
D: Pizza Casserole
all day:
SF russel stovers candy, stopped at the outlet in Pigeon Forge... bought $15 dollars worth of stuff..mine you things can run from .49 to 2.49 for a box of 36. I got marshmallow Santas, there was 36 in a box. Okay thats what I over ate. But they are so good. I'm never gonna reach goal If I dont leave the sweets alone.. SF or not! I think this is how I lost grip last time I did LC. someone kick me in the Booty!<
