Paulajean - The girl scouts are having a jamberee at Valley Forge Park (1st time the park ever allowed something like this). I've camped all over the place a very cheap way to go on vacation when you don't have lots of money. I like camping at the shore, I have actually camped on Wildwood Beach right in front of the ocean.
Yes, I am preparing some items ahead of time..also making the omletes in a ziploc |

That sounds like fun.
I'd be carrying string cheese in my pockets. With girls around who love to munch on sweets.. man.. thats gonna be hard.. But like you say if you get it all planned and prepared you should do good. I hate that stores dont carry the string cheese/beef stick combos at the checkouts anymore.. Its all jerky and those have sugar cured etc... those would be great too. I bet theres websites that would have some ideas you could use.. camping low carb.. lol... I guess I need to get busy.. I have clean up in the kitchen today. STacy, I Hope you made it thru the weather last night.. I said a prayer for you and those in TX.... Hugs girls~! B:nothing. L: last can of tuna! and salad. D: meatloaf and whatever.. oh Im gonna try the fried brussel sprouts in bacon grease.. hubby wants to try them. later.

Morning girls! Hope that your day is going well. It is ok here so far. One of our dogs got out this morning. And, of course it is the one that has a mind of her own. So, she ran off. DH went all over the neighborhood looking for her on his bike. I got out there, got in the truck and she then found her two houses over. DH was pretty upset with her. She normally minds him well. Whoops.
I haven't been sleeping too well for the last few nights. It is finally starting to slow me down. Blech. The weather has started to settle down today. Still a little windy, but compared to yesterday it is just a breeze. The snow/rain mix is gone. Skies are blue again. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do with leftover peppercorn pork tenderloin? I made two of those the other night and we only ate one. For the life of me, I cannot figure out what to do with the extra one. Gonna exercise before I decide I am too tired to get it done! B: 2 mock danishes L: ?? D: garlic chicken and steamed broccoli & cauliflower with cheese

I know carrots are a no-no, but I think that they are lots better than many other things you coulda chose.
My DH called and suggested a motorcycle ride complete with picnic tomorrow. Any ideas what I can pack to eat? I swear my brain is foggy today. |

I am thinking about making buffalo chicken salad wraps (he will eat lc without complaining.) and maybe some cubes of cheese. He is talking about taking the hammock with us and finding a place to hang it. Just spend the day out together. Been married for 15 years. This is a first.

B: leftover meatloaf L:hamburger patty with sourcream on top sprinkled with wee bit of cheese.. someone forgot to throw away the package, it probably had a Tb of shreaded cheese in it! I've never had any problems but the salt might have been too high for you. I've noticed I eat more salt then ever before, and Im not a salt person at all. ps the carrots worked wonders. Now I just have to get back on plan. Maybe I will have something "less" to show for Sunday. Hello Ma in Sevierville. Kids and I are up that way often! |

Howdy Mary!
Went for a quick picnic today. Lots of fun. We were gonna go up into the mountains, but for some goofy reason it didn't dawn on us that they just received a bit of snow. So, we went to the Garden of the Gods to picnic. It was really nice. Beautiful day to be outside. Forgot to take the camera, so no pics. Tonight, DH made steaks on the grill. I make some roasted okra/squash and a salad to go with it. He also got a baked potato. We opened a bottle of red wine also. So good! Hope that your day was great too! I love the new avatar PaulaJean!!! |

I'm working on my water today...
Was too ashamed to tell about my exercise yesterday. I was by myself, and was on my exercise ball. I was watching tv at the same time and not paying attention to what I was doing. I leaned back on the ball to stretch and lost my balance and rolled right over and fell off. Im so glad no was around to feel the 5.7 on the rictor scale. I think my husband is losing weight. He takes sandwiches to work, so Im assuming he works off those carbs, but he eats the same things we do for dinner. And lately I've replaced potatoes and starches with just more lowcarb veggies. I wonder how i can get him to ck his weight without hurting his feelings.. be interesting to know.. I noticed his tummy was going down. hummm. I think ive changed my avatar 5 times over the last 3 days, just cant find the one I like. This one is my daughter getting married. This was a familly shot. I'm to the left, then Rachel my biodaughter 21yr(reunited adoptee), then my Daughter Jessica the bride, HUbby, and my baby allison who is 12 and almost as tall as dad. This was in Jan06 and I had got down to 200lbs. Wish I could be that weight tomorrow..lol. I'll be back on later for menu and water , dont know about exercise today, Ive got flowers to put out. More later.HUgs |

Rain, Rain and more Rain...so depressing.
Since lcing i've been craving salt but it doesn't normally bother me this bad but something in the chili really caused me to retain water. I'll have to figure something else out. I'm so stressed right now, I could eat the house out. DH grandmom has been in hospital 3 days, they are going to do an upper and lower GI. Now his mom needs surgery on May 1st and guess who's going to be taking care of her. ME. Ok bring on the rum and dt coke... Menu: B: Omlete - 2eggs/mush/cheese and 3 strawberries and cream S: cheese stk and 5 almonds L: chkn salad and 2 tsp pb (was gong to have on salad but it went bad) D: Not sure yet - sauted zucchini |

Justine, it sounds like you have your work cut out for you...Well, you can come here to rant when needed.
BTW, vanilla vodka (you can't really taste the vodka itself) and diet cherry vanilla coke is awesome! My new drink of choice! Wish the weather was nicer for you. Today is pretty nice here. I need to drag my butt outside and enjoy it while it lasts.I stepped on the scale today (DH told me where it was) and it says that I have gained 4 pounds since Monday. I hate it when it does that. I know that I have been eating more this week, but thankfully it hasn't been junk, so hopefully with lots of water I will lose it this weekend. By tomorrow evening would be nice, we have friends that are coming over and spending the night, so we will all probably get in the hot tub and weighing a couple less pounds is always good. My MIL is coming out for the weekend in about a month. She hasn't yet talked to me about it. I am finding all of this out through my sweetie. He isn't necessarily one to let me know what is going on, unless I ask him directly. He hears something and then totally puts it out of his brain. So annoying at times. Today I want to make out a list of everything that I want to get done before she gets here. Note: her house always perfect, mine looks like we live in it, so it is never good enough. As far as that goes, neither am I. Oh well. So, the closer to that time it is, the more stressed I am likely to be. That sucks.B: mock danish L: slice of ham, small pickle, and about an ounce of cheddar cheese D: leftovers- everyone can fend for themselves tonight. Good Morning
Went to hospital yesterday to visit grandmom and forced the nurse to show us her results from a gastroscopy and they found stomach cancer..back in March they had found cancer on her Liver. They still don't think this why her hemoglobin is so low so we are waiting for the CAT scan results to come back. I managed to still stay on track for dinner. I went to wendy's and had 1/2 pound steakhouse burger (2 patties/mush/swiss cheese/onions) VERY VERY salty. I'm up to 227 or down to depending on where you look at it. Since I ate the Chili I was up to 230 but before Chili I was at 224. I'm going to drink ALOT of water this weekend and try to flush out this salt. I think my weight would have been less if it wasn't for the salty burger last night. No clue what i'll be eating today need to go shopping..no eggs..no cheese...no sliced meat..no steaks..man not much here to choose from...I guess for Breakfast I'll be broiling up some veggies. LOL. |

Good morning, Ladies!
I am so sorry about Grandmom, Justine. Great job at staying on track, though! Stay strong, we are here for you!Yesterday was lots of fun around here. I got to thinking about report cards and how long it has been since I had seen one from our DS13. So, I called the school to find out the last time report cards were sent out and come to find out that was about 3 weeks ago. Hmm....so, I went through his junk drawer in his bedroom (I promise, I normally do not go through the kids' rooms) and I found his report card. It had 1 D, a couple C's, the rest were B's. Not a bad report card. So, I kept doubting myself thinking maybe I did see it and didn't remember it. When DS came home, I asked him why I didn't recall seeing it. He told me that he hid it without showing me cuz he didn't want to be in trouble for the bad grades. Let me just say, this kid has always had issues in school, his grades have never been very good, so for him, this was a GREAT report card. Another thing is he hid his report card last year, so this stupid decision was one that had been made before so the consequences are severe this time around. I didn't yell, raise my voice, or even get mad. Looked at him and very calmly told him to hand over his cell phone (he has a pay as you go), he is grounded from everything except breathing til the end of school, and he has to clean his room and the kitchen. Not just clean, but cleaner than new. Not a thing will be left untouched, undusted or anything. It will be spit shine clean. Just hope he doesn't spit on anything in my kitchen. So, I wrote a fullpage list for each room so that he has no issues getting the rooms done just the way I want them. Also, while going through his drawer I found little love notes from his GF. I love you's, I miss you's, thinking about you's. Mind you, they are 13. So, last night when DH got home, they went downstairs and talked about stupid decisions made by DS as of lately (believe me, this is just one of many lately) and then it turned into "the talk". Lots of fun around the Walker house. Gonna work on cleaning the house up a bit today so that on DH's day off tomorrow I won't have to worry about it. DD16 has to be at work at noon. So, I gotta drop her off (she can take her test for her license in a month, I am so counting down the days), then keep on top of DS13 to make sure he is taking care of his stuff. DS7 just got home from a sleepover. He should be nice and grouchy from lack of sleep. We have decided to have a family day tomorrow. Even though DS is in trouble. We haven't had one in awhile; need them every now and again. Normally that is going out with the kids to do something or staying home and playing board games with them. Thankfully all 3 kids really enjoy it still. DD has to go to work at 3 so we decided that everyone is gonna get up in the morning and we are gonna take them to the Garden of the Gods for a breakfast picnic. I am thinking ham pinwheels (we call 'em fish eyes around here ), bagels and cream cheese, and some fruit. Juice boxes for the kids, coffee for the adults. Should be lots of fun.B: probably nothing- not really hungry L: no clue (I am about worthless today) D: lo carb pork lo mein I hope y'all have a great day! Sorry Ive not been on much today. We mowed the yard and I got a sunburn on my face. I forgot my hat and sunscreen.
![]() I read a post last night that has me thinking. It was on weighing daily. One lady posted that it keeps her accountable everyday if she weights daily. Girls, I really think this might be better then just once a week. I did weigh this morning and still at 210. But thats okay. I think I'm going to start weighing daily but only posting any loss on Sunday. The rest is up to you girls. Im sure we all ck thru the week, but dont want anyone to feel its against any rules.. we're just friends here for support etc. I've not made my menu yet for next week. We just got back home from eating chinese. I ate cooked cabbage, 2 sliced boiled eggs. and two chicken on a stick, dont know if there's any carbs in the red stuff baked on them. and a few ice cold shrimp, and a few sips of chicken broth soup. I missed the stirfried green beans. they werent out. B:eggs and bacon(Lots of coffee) L: salad with broccoli/caul salad with bacon bits S:sugar free gerkin pickles/summer sausage slices D:chinese Ive not done as well on my water as I should, but I'm going upstairs to watch a movie with DH&DD. Ok my daughter cracked my brand new scale so im not sure what is the correct weight. if i stand to the edge it says 225.5 and if i stand with feet planted in the middle of each side (but feels like its sagging) it says 221.5...either way not bad one would mean a 1.5lb gain and I was retaining alot of water last week the other would be a 4 lb lose which would be awesome. I tried weighing at the hospital but their scale wasn't balanced.
