My fitday stats for yesterday:
Cal 1040 Fat 63 Carbs 9 Protein 104 High in carbs because I ate steamed brocoli instead of salad. I thought the best choice at the time. I'd like to lower calories. . .but it is tough! |

Now get ready for planning Easter. I remember last year I made up two large easter baskets and didn't have one piece of candy. I was sooooo proud of myself. So it can be done. You are such an inspiration. I can hardly wait for some progress pics. I sure hope you are taking them as you are traveling through this weightloss. ![]() |

I have a question for you ladies. I've been doing Atkins 72 for several weeks but because of constipation, have been taking psillium husks every day (1 tablespoon with lots of water) and am wondering if that could be slowing down my loss? Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

Hi Sue,
Im using MoM at night, 1/2 dose and it works. I have heard that adding fiber can slow your loss down, and also it didnt really work for me anyway! Bella |

Bella~think I'll get some MoM today and try that out. I haven't lost any since I started with the psyllium husks. I want progress like you. You're my new hero.

Good for you my friend. No I was talking about Magnesium supplements. Angie66 was saying that if she didn't have any MOM she was going to up her magnesium. Maybe she meant some other kind of magnesium. You have to forgive me - I'm having memory problems ![]() |

Hi Gang..just my input. Diet tea, epsom salts. Cant take either. I thought I was going to pass out last week. I had a cup of diet tea. OH MY WORD. It was horrible. I was fine the next day. I figured it was my B/P also. Now epsom salts I had tried them a few months ago. Does the same thing. MOM. Not sure. I was wondering if there was sugar in that??? Anyone know? Thanks.

Hi Sheila
I buy the caplets which are sugar free. They are each 500mg of magnesia and 2 at bedtime do the trick for me the next morning ![]() Bella |

I know we are all different. . .and for me the very LC diet causes the opposite bathroom issues. . .(which I guess is better, but I gotta stay close to the bathroom!) This has been true for me back on protein fasts and very low carb diets over the past 26 years for me. . .
I'm best when I use a lot of fiber--flax, oat fiber, but then depending on which,--like oatmeal, I get hungry. . .So no easy answers. And slow or no weight loss either. |

Oh boy did I do a doozy on atkins 72. I'll share just incase it helps anyone else. I started the basically no carb on march 2(lost 5 lbs). I was getting alot of muscle pain, tingling fingers , my heart beat was funky and felt exhausted. I went in to see the dr today. I was very low on potasium and vit b. It seems the meds I'm on block some b absorption and the very beginning of atkins 72 is very low on potassium. Remedy is bumping carbs up to about 30 ,potassium and getting shots of b.
I have no clue if this could happen to anyone else but I wanted to share just incase. Kinda scared me! |

Sounds like using MoM is the safest bet where a constipation remedy is concerned. Thankfully, I only need something like that about once a month. As long as I keep my water intake high and get at least one salad a day, everything is 'smooth going'.
Where magnesium and such are concerned, I'll continue with my current dosages of minerals since I haven't had any problems. Since starting with this woe and supplementation, I feel better than I have in months! |
