The rolls can really be made with a lot of things, my favorite is ricotta cheese, some even use sour cream. The most important thing for me was to learn to use a tablespoon and place one on top of the other for more volume.

[quote=Tashi;7196339]I ran across this on a thread a couple months ago. Here you go:
------------------------------------------------------------------ ATKINS REVOLUTION ROLLS Thanks for posting this recipe. I don't know if I'll try it, but it's good to know what it is. I do have a '72 book I bought on ebay. I'm thinking I may read it from cover to cover now instead of just popping around in it. |

Hi~
I didn't see anything about sour cream here ... I'm guessing not even a serving a day is allowed? Anyone know? I usually put a tablespoon in my scrambled eggs, but wanted to make sure it was ok first! Thanks! |

I have a copy of 72 coming in the mail ( found it on amazon). When it comes, I will look it up & let ya know.
Im thinking this tho. 1 tbsp is 1 carb ( I think). I dont know for sure it would matter as long as u counted it as a carb. |

Thats what I paid for mine too!
OK , Ducklet-- sour cream , says it can be eatting on the first week as a salad garnish. So I would say , like a tbsp or 2. After that you ad 5 - 8 carbs a day and its pretty much up to you. I am going to stick with week one foods for the rest of this week. I have been not so great last few days. Today was 100% tho! |

Hello, my name is Judy and I have been on low carb way of eatting for 2 yrs., and I lost 75 lbs, BUT I gained back 30. I did that by taking my first bite of a bad carb sweet stuff and it put me on a long 4 month binge. I'm starting back on Atkin's 1972 way of eatting. I do good during the day, but when evening rolls around I start eatting junk (like cookies, etc). I'm glad I found out about this thread. I rejoined eDiets and been following their Atkins food plan. I lost 9 lbs and stayed clean for 5 days and then I blew it on cookies and milk. Then I took my daughter to the movies and had their popcorn. But, that is it.....For Thanksgiving I'm worried about. For 2 yrs. I styed on plan. but this year I'm worried.... Judy

Morning ladies,
Had a sabotage moment for a week or so and now starting back at it today. Doing the 72 version but plan to stay at the first level for a while before adding any carbs. I am not looking forward to this week as it is going to be painful with the withdrawals but time to pay the piper I guess!!! Judy, totally off the 72 version, but in the past I have had some Atkins bars in the cupboard to give me a kick start and if you are having a hard time fighting the cookies then the bars would be better for you - they are 2 or 3 carbs and after a very short time you will find them too sweet and you are 'CURED" of that craving - give it a try, it has to be better than hitting the cookies and milk. Let us know how you get on. Off to have some bacon for breakfast now and then hopefully heading to curves - there is a wanted poster out there with my name on I think. Take care ladies, stay true and strong. Lesley Last edited by edinburgh2 : 11-20-2006 at 11:09 AM. |

Okay, yesterday was my first day on regular Atkins, and I gained 1/2 lb.
I think for me, I need to do this version of the plan....which I am starting today I think I ate too much cheese and sour cream yesterday. I need to focus more on protein sources, and I WILL keep my lettuce carbs at 1 loosely packed cup per meal. Thanks for posting this, very helpful!!!! ![]() |

Question ~ do you think if I had one low carb chicken bouillion pack per day would stall me? I know high in sodium, but I was thinking that would be great for me at night, a nice hot cup of broth (??????)

I think its a good idea , its a salty thing instead of eatting a bag of chips. And its allowable on all the Atkins plans. There is a low sodium one also if your a water retainer.
Another idea , if you like it ( I dont but saw it in a recipe book) . Heat ur broth in a sauce pan & slowly pour a mixed up raw egg into it. It will form "noodles". Is like that egg drop soup @ chinese resturants. Bengal another idea , I cant eat too much cheese . especially american. I stall with it. And too much sour cream is fatty. I wouldnt eat it everyday. I try to limit cheese to 3 days a week , and only an ounce at a time. Tho hard cheeses are allowed , they are parm , romano , greyere. Good luck hun! Yes, I think one cup of boullion would really help my night-time cravings. I will try the egg idea also!!!!Yes, I screwed up my first day eating too much cheese (cream & regular) and sour cream. I think I will do better on this plan. So far, so good today!!!!!!! Easier than yesterday, maybe because I have only had chicken breasts so far. I will do my 1 cup loosely packed salad with dinner, along with my chicken breast. Thanks again for helping me!!!!!! ![]() |

My doctor told me I could have bullion cubes - and natural cheese (with wax around it). He told me to eat many times a day - and until I was satisfied.
Doesn't sour cream have very little carbs? I had sour cream mixed with blue cheese .... oh that was devine//// |

Bengal , the chicken breast is a good idea, but make sure your getting fat with it , like skin or some mayo. I made that mistake on week 2 & it wasnt enough fat.
Cheryl , I will listen to anything you say cuz you did awsome! I just know that the first few weeks I have to watch cream cheese & sour cream , too much caused a stall for me...........like I was just grabbing cream cheese if I go the munchies. Thanks for popping in! ![]() |

I poured about 1 Tablespoon of olive oil on it, and I had a salad with dressing at dinner with my chicken breast. I am down 1 lb! And when I tried the first day (on regular atkins) I gained like 1.5 lbs the next day , but this morning the scale said 149.5. Hopefully it will stick
![]() I am not in ketosis yet (checked with stick) but I am hoping i will be tomorrow to help avoid the mashed potatoes and stuffing cravings I will be having. Thanks for helping me out!!!!! ![]() |

Can you have sour cream while on Induction ('72 style)
![]() or Ranch salad dressing? If yes - how much does anyone know? I've read the book over and over again and I must be missing it... |
