Thanks. I know I have never been strict on the water. Just thinking maybe if I was (esp. while m/e), I'd see better results. I saw someone's post here (sorry, name escapes me right now) who is about my wt. and lost 12lbs in a week! woohoo! I'd love love love to see that too! eta: I have backslid up to 167 and would like to get it back off. (in case you missed my first post here).
anyone tell me about the mayo in tuna? Maybe 1 tbsp to a can? Last edited by Shancopp : 07-01-2005 at 12:55 PM. |

Morning everyone,
I had my final, day 69 weigh in before my vacation and I am down another 0.5 lb. today. That gives me a 68 day m/e total of 33.5 pounds. My weight related goal for my vacation is to maintain my current weight. I'll be thrilled if I lose, but I just don't want to gain. I am leaving for the airport in 10 hours. It is a 2 hour train ride to the airport, a 3 hour wait at the airport and a 9.5 hour flight. Will make for a very long day. I am taking hb eggs for my dinner at the airport and expect that our in-flight meal will be breakfast, hopefully omelets, but who knows. I'll do my best to eat as close to plan as possible in flight, but it won't totally be in my control and I don't want to not eat if I'm hungry. I think that would be worse on the other end. If I get the chance, I'll pop in to say hi, but won't be reading all the posts. If not, I'll see you all on the 9th when I come home for 1 night before flying of to Thailand on the 10th. I'll check in through the day today before I go. Have a great 4th of July everyone and be true to yourself and your woe! YOU CAN DO IT!

Hammerhead I also made your soup today. It was great. That changes the menu I posted earlier.Scratch that. I didn't eat breakfast just soup for lunch and for dinner. And water, water, water. Yum. Thanks.
Thanks Shadow, I'm hanging in there. I getting so close to my goal I think I get a little lax. But I'll get there.Lynn, I'll be thinking of ya. You have a safe and wonderful trip. See ya the 9th. |

Lunch was 2 salmon patties (made w/ 1/2 can of salmon and .5 egg). Will eat the other two for supper. Also had 1 tsp dijon mustard on them. Not bad. DAY ONE IS TOUGH!!!!!!!!!! ugh! Guzzled 10 more oz of water and had a glass of CL SF tea. WHY AM I THINKING OF FOOD ALL DAY??? I'm hungry...

shancopp I usually have about a teaspoon of mayo and a little mustard and some of the water in the can of tuna and smash up a hard boiled egg in it.
If you are hungry then eat, the great thing about this WOE is the natural appetite suppression. So eat all you want as long as you stick to plan. Your appetite will naturally decrease as you get into ketosis. Don't try to eat as little as some of us are eating when you start, you will drive yourself crazy. |

Hello everyone.
I last posted on 6/15 then left on vacation the next day. I had hoped to get down to 152 by vacation, and though I tried religiously, the scale didn't accommodate. Slow loser? I wrote the book. But the good news is, we returned from vacation on Monday night, the 26th, and I weighed for the first time since returning today, the 1st, and I was half pound down from when we left. I pretty much did strict low carb all day and allowed myself the afternoon low carb cocktails on the beach, walked a lot, and lifted weights twice. So I consider that a victory. Maybe I can make it to the high 140's (146-148) by the end of summer! I'll have to go back and read all the posts I've missed -- for added inspiration. Everybody have a great 4th of July! God bless America!

Supper is a boneless/skinless chicken breast, grilled w/ 1 tbsp Buffalo wing sauce. (bottle says 5 cals/0carbs, but fitday puts it at 1 carb). That puts me at 1200 cals/6 carbs for the day (though, I'm sure I'll eat more chicken or salmon later). Does that seem like what I should be shooting for? What carb count should you stay under while m/e?
Thanks for the answers and advice everyone! |

Shancopp, Beckey's right. You don't count the carbs in eggs or coffee (black coffee that is) on ME. Carbs should be nil nada if you are doing it by the rules.

0 carbs! yikes!
Here is my 6 carbs for the day. Will have to figure what I can cut out tomorrow. 2 eggs- 1 carb 3 tsp instant coffee-1 carb 2.5 tbsp AS (liquid)-1 carb 3 tsp (1 tbsp) half/half- 1 carb 1 tbsp hot wing sauce on chicken- 1 carb 10 oz Crystal Lite SF tea- 1 carb If the coffee/eggs don't count, that's 4 for the day. I think the lowest I've ever been. |

Hi everyone. I havent posted here in a while but I still trykeep up with the board as much as possible. What has happened to everyone? Where is Chrissy, AngieE, Marlette, Claire?
What I have been thinking of doing is switching to South Beach and giving it a try for more food choices. I am starting to become bored and that makes me think about cheating and that is not what I want to do. I have came to far. Anyone know much about SB and what are your thoughts on it? |

Hello M/Eggers!
Have decided to do meat and egg 3 days and atkins 4 days. Today started Atkins: B.-wasn't hungry L. Smoked Bbq beef, salad the size of my palm D. 10 hot wings, celery, bleu cheese Am concentrating on eating my protein first and if still hungry then going to the carbs. well into ketosis again. Am going to eat very low for atkins-basically because meat and egg has shrunk my stomach and I can't eat as much. I do not know the rules/etiquite for this-do I still post here on atkins days or save posting for only meat and egg days? Lurking is ok with me until m&e rolls around...somebody tell me what I am supposed to do please, lol.... Thanks! Robin |

I upper my carbs today cause I needed to for Canada day but, tomorrow will be back to M/E ya need to do that every now and again. I am looking to get into the Onderlands in the next 2-3 weeks and I think I can if I keep going like I have been. Take care all have a Great Canada and July 4th Holiday YAY

Hi everyonne,
weighed in this morning and the scale is the same from yesterday. Still 154. Here is the menu for today: B: 2 eggs cooked with just enought butter to coat the pan. and seasonings (hot red pepper flakes and mint flakes) 1/2 cup of lettuce with 1-2 drops of lemon juice and 1 tsp EVOO. Earl grey tea with 2 pkgs of Splenda and a slice of lemon. (I think I won't have any diet drinks for the rest of the day, since I already had 2 pkgs of splenda) For the rst of the day, I am planning to eat: L: Baked Sea bass. S: Black coffee (8 ounces) D: Either chicken or beef shish kebab (I will go out, hopefully I won't mess it up). Hmm, now that I think of it, I will take a packet of Tuna in olive oil as a back up in case I can not find something appropriate to eat.(You now, the kind in a packet, not in a can -too messy-.) Sally, I am glad you liked the soup ![]() Lynnp, have a great trip. How is everyone else doing? |

Hi everyone and welcome to all newbies. We are a great bunch of losers here.
I am up a pound today but no worries, I shopped and ran errands all day yesterday and did not drink as much water as usually do. So guzzling water today and already worked out and watered flowers and weeded some landscaped areas and did some cleaning and laundry, Great Holiday Weekend huh? ![]() Happy Holiday Everyone. ![]() |
