Not exactly sure but I am a transcriptionist for a hospital and they most always put people on Theragran. I have been taking that but if anyone knows different please say.

I am a believer in the Four Pillars from Pharmax. A bit pricey, but they really make a difference in how we feel.

Consumers Reports listed the Walgreens Multi vitamin-mineral as a best buy meaning
it does what it should do at a good price.

I take a Woman's One a Day or a Centrum Silver. I kind of alternate month to month. I'm not much of a vitamin or health nut, so I hope those are fine.

I have taken Shaklee for about 30 yrs. now..a little more expensive but natural..Your best bet might be the health food store for a good supplement and they are pretty knowledgable...some vitamins are made with patroleum products, and by law if it says natural on the bottle that could mean only 10%.........

I heard a story once that those porta pottys you see at fairs and stuff there are lots of tablets in them and they can read the name and one was Theragram. So to me that said in and right out.

help

I know it says you are not supposed to consume iron while on the atkins diet, but I just bought One A Day Multivitamin for women...and it has iron in it (I didnt know what else to get) is that ok? Or do I need to buy an iron-free multivitamin? If so...any sugestions of one's you can buy from the drugstore?

I am not crazy about swallowing multi-vitiams everyday. I usually stop taking them. I found Sugar-Free Cherry Fiber Choice plus Multi-Vitiamin at my Grocery Store. You do not have to drink a bunch of water like with other fiber and the vitiamin are plentiful!

HTH
AJ

Oh. I forgot to add... there truely is no sugar in the Sugar-Free Cherry.

I just take the regular Centrum (plus 5000 mg Biotin daily). my Centrum doesn't have 100% of everything, but I figure I can get the rest through my diet. Fitday is pretty good for helping me figure out which vitamins I need more of.

I like Women's One a Day too but I can't remember if it has lutein in it.

My opinion is that it is always best to take a 'whole food' multivitamin. I think the best on the market is called ALIVE! whole food energizer. I can tell the difference between taking it and not. And the good news is it's pretty inexpensive.....less than $20.00 a month....your worth it!

Hmm...would that be because meat has a lot of iron in it? I suppose so. I was told my ferritin level was low causing restless legs. 24 and it is supposed to be 50. Didn't mean I was technically anemic, just headed that way. I would recommend having a iron test to see where "you" are then you'd know. They said that's the most common deficiency other than Vitamin D. I think the only way to know is to consult a doctor and get a test before you decide NOT to take iron...'specially if you have a period.

I'm taking it on an empty stomach and am fine "toilet wise" I'm 10 years into menopause and I was low on iron (ferritin) so that isn't always true

So what vitamin would you recommend someone take? I have heard that GNC has a women's vit with no iron. I have also heard centrum silver, but I am only in my 20's...lol.
