Good Morning Beachers,
I am only 1 pd away from siggy now, hopefully I will see it on the scales tomorrow morning, then I can go down from there, I have 15 days left till I fly out on my vacation. IN order to plan for it, I am making a shopping list to buy OP food to have at my sisters house. I know when we are out and about I will be tempted, but I want to stay OP as much as possible. If I come home the same weight after a week on vacation, I will be a happy girl !! I will be going into the city all day tomorrow, shopping and visiting family, so it will be a long day for sure. I am supposed to go out to dinner with some girlfriends too, but it will OP. Well I had better get to work, its Friday and most of the bosses are gone, not sure how much we are actually going to get done lol. Heres my menu from yesterday: b- fit smoothie, 1 slice LC bread w/pb s- sf mocha l- sb frozen meal s- veggies & ranch d- steak stir fry d- banana w/sf caramel & cool whip Kelly

Don't have tons of time...it's been a REALLY crazy week.
Here are the high points: 1. Booked my photographer 2. Booked my florist 3. One home we had on the market got 6 offers and went $60K over asking. The other got 5 offers and went $155K over asking. 4. My trainer gave me my wedding present early. She is going to train me for 30 min a week, every week until the wedding, for FREE! ![]() I my trainer!5. I'm holding steady at 258. I think TOM's around the corner. I have been bloated and crampy for the last day or two. Now that I'm off BC I have no idea when to expect it! 6. Did my first spin class on Wednesday night. I love it...only the bike seat hurts my booty so I'm going to buy some padded bike shorts. I only made it through 30 min because it hurt too much to keep going. Now for the downside. SF Chocolate is the DEVIL!!! I was doing laundry on Tuesday night and had a serious chocolate craving so I picked up some dove sf dark chocolate. I figured it would do the least damage. I ate 6 of the 10 pieces in the bag. Well, my stomach had a revolution! I was so sick for the next 15 or so hours...it was terrible. Without sharing TMI it went right through me and caused me to have horrible gas for the whole night and most of the next day. How embarassing! ![]() I have accupuncture and colonic tonight...hoping that will help things move down the scale again. I'm pretty used to this stricter diet but I do definitely miss things...mostly the cheese. It sucks that I can't have cheese. I'm in for the weekend challenge. I'm hoping to be closer to 255 by Monday. I'm shooting for 250 or below by the end of the month. I'm also hoping I can do some indies this weekend. My mom is over 3000 miles away so DF and I are spending Mother's Day with his family. We're going to his sister's house and having lunch/dinner. I'm suppossed to be cooking something but she hasn't told me what yet. ![]() Hope you all have a fantastic weekend and hope to check back in soon. and to you all! KUTGW!

Just a quick post for now...I'm going to be super busy this weekend, so hopefully I won't lose too many points!
![]() Dinner last night was yummy...had broiled scallops, double broccoli and salad. Had one drink (mojito). Overall, happy with my choices. Will be weighing in tomorrow. Trying to only weigh a couple of times a week. I was getting obsessed about the daily numbers again. Have a great night everyone and I'll try to post later this weekend! |

Hi everyone!
Yesterday was my last day of finals! Hooray! DH & I had lunch at the Mongolian Grill...yum and I always have enough leftovers for dinner, so that's what I had for dinner too. Jumped on the scale and I'm still at 170, woohoo! Not bad for going a month without exercise! Neesie: DH is the best man at their wedding, and i kinda feel bad if I don't go because I don't think he'll have anyone to hang out with. Tina: I had originally planned to fly out June 12th, but now that we bought a 2nd car, I'm supposed to drive down there. Bad thing is, I don't know if I can get a refund on my plane ticket since I bought it through priceline.com. Anyone know about this? Also, since I'm driving, i think I might leave even earlier. Dani: Good job staying OP. I love mojitos...yummy. Kelly: Good job getting close to siggy! Ericha: I love sf chocolate, but I just can't have it. I get the same symptoms you had, so i just have to stay away from it. Marsha: Can't wait for your shift to be over soon too. We miss you posting in here! Cindy: You're doing great; I think you're too committed to SB to ever go back to your "fat" clothes. KUTGW! I'm sorry if I forgot anyone, but I'm kinda all over the place today. Tomorrow a GF from school and I are having a Margarita Night at a Mex Restaurant. We invited all of the people in the teacher ed program with us, but I don't know how many people will actually come to celebrate. So I guess tomorrow will be Off plan, at least Dinner and drinks. Ok ladies, off to the mall to look for a cute outfit for manana. BBL!

Honestly, Ladies; I looked through the book, looked at the chapters, looked at the menu's, food lists, etc. I think I am returning it (got it at Walmart). There really isn't anything in there that warrants me spending another $20 - the first book is sufficient. The food lists are a little more complete, and there are some new recipes, but again, doesn't warrant spending $20.

I almost ordered the new book online ,but glad I didnt waste the money on it, I may try to check it out at the library though.
We are watching Dan in Real Life right now, its ok so far. My older son is at a movie at church, it doesnt get out till 11pm, but I dont know if i can stay up that late, so I told him I might pick him up sooner, hes having one of his friends stay the night too. We are taking off for the city in the morning and DH is going to stay at home to work on the house so more. I was suprised when I came home to a huge bouquet of flowers that were sent by 1800flowers, they were from my MIL, for Mothers Day, the roses are so beautiful. I have to make sure and get her something nice. Kelly |

Morning!
![]() I am celebrating ONE FULL YEAR on SOUTH BEACH!!!! Up early; with getting up at 4 a.m. yesterday, DH and I were in bed early last night.....so up early today! Today is Senior Ball, so this afternoon will be spent helping DD get ready - she is SO excited! She and I had fun yesterday; took her to HuHot for lunch.....very good.....put a few too many Soba Noodles in, and didn't eat them all, but think they may have upset my stomach. DH and I grilled steaks last night, and tonight we are supposed to have date night after we get DD18 off to the dance. Drinks and dinner, hopefully! Yeah, ladies, I really wouldn't invest in the book if you haven't already - I think I will do like you Kristi and Kelly, check it out from the library if I really want to look at it again, but like I said, not worth it for the little bit of new info in it. Yesterday: 1 cup of coffee 1 sf iced McDs coffee Bfast: Turkey Melt, V8 Lunch: HuHot (LOTS of veggies, soba noodles, crab) Snack: Cheese stick, diet coke Dinner: Streak, sweet potato fries, salad (I never indicate this, but ALWAYS drink a ton of water every day) So it's the weekend - and we are all challenging ourselves, right?

Hi Lady -
Quickie drive by - I'l be going out for a walk with DNeighbor. We need to walk off all the crap we ate last night a the ballgame. Now that that's over I'm in for the weekend challenge. P1 and tons of water! Yesterday was DD's 27th birthday and we had a great time at the game. It was cold but it didn't rain. They had a big fireworks display after the game which was sponsored by a former employer of mine where I did house design. It was nice to see this guy putting out some money fo others enjoyment - he owns the biggest lumber company in Maine. The fireworks were better than many July 4 fireworks I've seen so it was nice that it was on DD's BD. I didn't check in yesterday so I guess I lost my Friday points. ![]() So here's my workout results - yesterday was the big weigh in. I didn't lose anything! I did lose 1/2 pound from Tuesday but big deal I do that anyway. It puts me 1/2 pound lower than my siggy but i've been there many times before. I'm giving P1 and the cardio 1 more week and getting measured on Friday. If no change there - which I doubt there will be - I am going back to P2 and onto maintenance. Loss will no longer be my goal - I reached my size goal long ago so as long as I can maintain that I will by happy! I have to go take my walk but I'll be back for indies! ![]() BBL Neesie

Hi ladies!
Well, I may have some BIG NEWS for you. I hadn't gotten my monthly yet and was feeling kinda weird so I told my friend and DH that I was gonna buy a pregnancy test just in case before having a Margarita night tonight. So last night I bought one, took it, and it was POSITIVE! OMG, I freaked. You should have seen DH's face, LOL...it was too funny. So I decided to get another one in case of a false positive. I went to Walmart w/ DH because it was like 11 pm at night, and bought a 3 pack. Took 1 last night and 2 more this morning...all POSITIVE. Needless to say, DH & I are both in shock. He's been giving me these funny little looks all day, it's cute. We talked about it last night, and he seemed terrified, but when i came back from washing my face and brushing my teeth last night, he was looking for baby names online, so I guess he's excited as well as terrified . I haven't told anyone because I want to set up a doctor's appointment to be absolutely sure. I might call my mom today and tell her; I think she'd like that as a Mother's Day gift.![]() Anyway, DH & I have alot to think about and discuss, but I wanted to come in here and share the news with you all. I'm not cancelling the Margarita night because we already sent out invitations, but I will be sticking to water and Virgin Daquiris, just in case. Cindy: Congrats on your 1 yr SB anniversary! ![]() Neesie: Sounds like you and DD had fun at the game. Kristi: Good luck finding a car! Kelly: I hope you find some good deals on your shopping trip. Dinner last night was off plan. DH & I met his friend & coocoo fiance for dinner at the cracker barrel, but the rest of the day was OP. I wasn't planning on going to her Bridal shower because I don't know anyone, but she asked me if I was going, so I guess now I have to go. I'm taking a friend from school with me. It's next Saturday so I have to find a suitable gift for her. Ok ladies, I'm off to clean and get ready for tonight. Have a great weekend! |

Vero- CONGRATULATIONS!!
![]() Cindy- WTG on ONE YEAR on South Beach!! ![]() Neesie- I think you are making a good decision about maintanance...you've attained your goal size which is more important than the number on the scale. ![]() Kristi and Kelly ![]() Had a fun girl's night out last night. We had mexican since it was Cinco de Mayo the other day. I had a lime in the coconut margarita and a taco salad. We did karaoke and also played the game Balderdash which I've never played before. It was lots of fun and I think I may have to get a copy for my students to play on game days. My weight is down a little bit this morning, which is good since I've had a couple drinks this week. Tonight DH and I are going to see my former school's play. It is "Inherit the Wind." The seniors in the play were little baby freshman when I started my job there 4 years ago. It will be nice to catch up w/former colleagues and watch my "kids" up on stage. I always feel like a proud teacher mama, lol. Have a great Saturday!

Hi girls!
I'm just about ready for my Mother's Day of doing absolutely nothing. My house is clean, my cooking is done and I'm just finishing up some laundry and that's it! I can't wait to just veg and relax all day! ![]() Ericha - wow you were a busy girl this week! You got so much accomplished! Congrats on everything! YES! SF chocolate is the devil. I ate quite bit of it myself this week - I won't be buying any more - don't know why I bought it on the first place. I should know better! ![]() Vero - are they having a military wedding? Do they still do those anymore? OMG - hopefully this time next year you'll be celebrating your first Mother's Day - how cool! I'll save the congrats until your 100% sure -but woohoo!!! ![]() Cindy - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU - thanks for the book info. I won't bother with it either on your critique. It was next on my list to buy but if there's nonthing new and exciting in it why bother? Kristi - too bad you're not having much luck on getting a car. Last year when I bought mine I pretty much knew what I was looking for, went to the Toyota dealer, test drove a few and picked one. I hate car shopping and didn't want to go thru what you are so I just bit the bullet and picked one. Ususally I shop and shop and shop but I just couldn't deal with it this time. ![]() Dani - I think I've made the right decision about maintenance, it just might be hard wrapping my brain around the idea though. It's been so long since I wasn't worrying about the scale it may take some getting used to. ![]() Today's menu: B:m coffee+ / fiber one / splenda/ 1% / banana S: none L: salad / chicken salad / dressing S: orange cheesecake fluff / cool whip D: steak / 1 chicken leg / grilled sweet potato / 1% milk S: nsa Fudgesicle Off to watch the BoSOx Have a great Mother's Day everyone! ![]() Neesie |

Evening, Beachers. Popping in for my points since I was AWOL last night.
I can't take much more of this shift - will it never end???Vero - back in the dark ages when I thought I was pregnant, I called the Drs office but couldn't get in cause of my work schedule. The nurse told me to get a home pregnancy test cause they were almost as reliable as the test they do in the office. Does that help you any? I'm so excited for you!!! Chica and Sarge will have a brother or sister. Sounds like the wacko GF needs you to be at the shower. Be gracious and you'll be OK. When do you leave for Texas?Cindy - Congrats on the 1 year Anniversary. You've accomplished so much in that time that you need to be proud of yourself. I think I need extra points due to hazardous working conditions. That would make up for my awol days. Your DD looks great in that color. You'll have to tell us all about the Ball. Neesie - I think the scale is almost as evil as dark chocolate. I'm staying off of the scale until I can get my eating under control. You've made a good decision for you. We've all come a long way and we have to be comfortable when we achieve our goals. Ericha - Wow, you make me tired with all that you got done this week. I think I sweating!! You've got tons more energy than I do that's for sure. Kristi - Car shopping is a PITA. Thankfully, we have a dealer we've been using for years and it makes it so much easier. Good luck! Kelly - Sounds like a you have a great day planned. Have fun. Dani - The play sounds like fun. I guess it would be strange to see your "babies" acting like adults on the stage. I don't know who called you Dr. Dani but now I have a picture in my head of you with the fancy mortar board and robe. Am I sick or what? Tina - where are you girl? You're losing points, you know. Cindy's watching. Did Elizabeth leave already? Back to the grind. The Engineers have been quiet today and that makes me nervous. BTW, I talked DH into taking me out for breakfast. Then we'll figure out what's for dinner. I'm thinking maybe steak & sweet potatoes on the grill. Big deal - I still have a ton of laundry to do and nobody is sneaking in to do it for me so I'll probably end up working my but off tomorrow. Oh, well. It still has to get done. Later, Beach vets.

Morning and Happy Mother's Day!
Thanks for the props on DD! Yes, a senior in high school!!! Lots of folks think she should model, but she doesn't like the attention! She called about 12:30 and were waiting for the gang to gather to head over to a friends house to spend the night. She said she had a lot of fun! We went over to another friend's house before the dinner/dance and took a bunch of photo's - alot of her friends were there that I hadn't seen in a while and they all came running to me - "Cindy! Cindy!", with their arms open - it made my day! DH and I ended up not going out - we were tired, so splurged and had a drink here and then got Chinese....I have had it once or twice in the last year, without a problem, so it really wasn't all that off program for me - just will drink a ton of water today. Today - I have no idea what is going on....DH mentioned going to a movie....which he never wants to do! Not sure when DD18 will be home - and then I did tell her she could go to her DBFs for dinner since his extended family is gathering, they want to meet her and he will head back to school later tonight or tomorrow morning. I told DH I would keep it simple so he and DD20 could cook tonight - Hamburgers on the grill and sweet potato fries.....oh and I did buy my favorite ice cream for a little splurge for dessert! Marsha - I think you should get extra points, and I will back off the clip board until you are off this shift!! Neesie - if I were you and you are near the book in a store - skim through it - I think you will agree - I am going to copy a few things down, but not worth the $20!!! Yesterday: 1 cup of coffee Bfast: Flax muffin with Fleishman's and sf syrup Snack: cashews and sf iced coffee Lunch: WW mac and cheese, strawberries with cool whip Snack: Diet coke Dinner: Seasame chicken, pork fried rice, crab rangoons, dark chocolate m&ms Overdid the nuts a little but thought it better than other options, and lacked veggies.....but know it was just the day..... I am on my second cup of coffee; didn't sleep well last night......Any takers? |
