Roll Call: Friday, May 9th

It's 5 am and I feel a little off kilter already this morning.

A friend I e-mail with several times a day was missing for two days.
Found out at 4:30 am that he had been in the hospital. He's okay.

Then I read your post Kris. Darn it I'm so sorry.
I'll be hoping for the best possible outcome.
My positive energy doesn't have too far to travel this time.

Thinking of you Loretta. Doris how is your DH doing?

Good Morning!

I'd like to see that sun today, Jezziemarezzie!

It's Friday! It's dress-down day! It's pay day! And, we had a special dispensation from the PITA Muckety-mucks giving us a 3 P.M. dismissal since we had to stay until 4 on Tuesday. How can life get any better than that?

Try, try, try to enjoy Friday! I wish you all could see the giant allium in the front garden.
Everybody!!!

Lin

goodmorning..Well we have some sun showing out there today but boy the morning are still so cold. I am having my breakfast of bacon and 2 oopsie roll french toast. I have ordered some DaVinci sf cf syrup from Netrition and sure will be glad when it gets here. Tomorrow is official weigh in day for me although I weight every other day usually..Looks like I will be down 4 pounds the first week of Induction. I hope to get out and do some walking starting next week.I have given up my coffee and drinking green tea instead.
I hope everyone has a great day

Just checking in quickly. Finished my 40 min on the bike, now have the zucchini and mushrooms on the stove, coffee by my side and we will be dressing and rushing off for the valley to pick up dh's Mom and head for the lunch at the casino. Hurry hurry.

Jezzie, how scary when you don't know what's happened to your friend like that!! Glad you found out what happened to him. Thanks for asking about dh, he is better, still "tight" in the front section so I still can't hug him, not really. We wait now for ultra sound appt. because they are thinking to remove a stent in his groin they put in right after the surgery to prevent blood clots. Next appt. is next Tuesday.................

Kris, I'm also still worrying here over your dear mother.

Loretta, glad you are alone for awhile now, and just taking each day slowly.

Hi Lin, have a FUN day, for once some time to enjoy.

I'll be see you..........

Waving to all the rest of you posters.

Good afternoon, everyone!

Jezzie: So glad you found your friend. It's so scary when you can't find someone.

Glad you're looking forward to a good day, Lin! Paydays are always great days!

Doris: Glad your DH is doing better. Hope you're having a great time with your mom at the casino.

Buddysgirl: Hi!! Looks like you're doing great on induction. Keep up the good work!

Well, spent all morning on the internet researching sarcoma. I haven't found out what kind of sarcoma mom has yet, so I'll have to wait to get a copy of the pathology report from the oncologist before I can really dig.

I'm hoping that she has one of the kinds that don't spread. From he surgeon's comments about it "shelling" right out and not being
sticky", I'm very very hopeful. We'll see. As I've said before, this has been a trip of famous last words!

It's drizzly and cold here so, after my little jaunt into the world of sarcoma, I entered the world of Amazon and bought a digital diet scale, Good Calories, Bad Calories, the new Neil Diamond CD and the DVD National Treasure.

How great is it to be able to sit in comfort at the kitchen table and order things you want/need? I didn't have to comb my hair, put on makeup, go out in the rain and waste gas or even brush my teeth! Ya gotta love it!
Got free shipping on all but one item, Too! Wonderful!

Well, have to continue straightening up. Cleaned out the fridge last night since our trash pick up is Friday morning and have tons of containers, etc. to deal with. At least I have tons of room in the fridgie now.

I think I'd be a much much better housekeeper if I didn't spend so much time on this darn computer!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi everyone!!

This was the first Friday weigh-in since early January that showed a weight gain for me, but it was only half a pound, so I am not sweating it.

I am thinking a smoking a brisket this weekend. Here is a photo of one I did last year. They are pretty tasty

I don't think I have ever had brisket.
But I loke most meat if it's cooked on a grill.
