Marie, That is so sad. I will add that whole family and all of their friends to my prayers. It's so easy to remember that life is so fragile. We all take for granted that our loved ones will always be there, day to day. And of course, that's not the case. When I hear of an incident like this, it's a reminder to me to be sure to tell everybody how much I love them.

Morning Ladies,

Marie, what sad news, I'm really sorry to hear about your friends mom. Will keep them in my thoughts and prayers for sure

Lou - Yes, I did read about the BC walk on your cruise, just forgot to mention it. Awesome that so much money was raised!

Carol - keeping your family in my thoughts as well. I hope your daughter is able to find a new job soon. Gas prices are about $3.45 here, but I have seen $3.99

Rebecca - for sure I wear the bracelet! And I always think of you when I do

Lise - how has W been feeling?

Sandy - how is mom?

Jenn - how are the party plans coming??? I forgot to tell you, we rented a car when we were in Puerto Rico to drive to the rain forest, and we got a Yaris! It made me think of you & Dorth. We loved driving it!

for all my girls here. I really do appreciate all of your prayers and positive energy you sent my way. I was really trying not to dwell on my scan but when I got to the imaging place yesterday it all really caught up to me and I kind of broke down (well, I did, not kind of). The nurse was really great, he brought me some tissues and gave me some time to calm down. Very understanding. So glad I have you guys!

Mel, I can totally understand why such a thing would freak you out. Thank God it is not anything to worry about. That's some GOOD news!

Marie, I'm so sorry about your friend's mom. How tragic.

Rebecca, as always I just love reading your stories about the birds. I meant to ask, how are Kim and her DH doing? Sounds like they've managed to make things work. And on your trip to OG. to you for such great planning. OG is one of my favorite places and you're right if they don't give nutritional information (which everyone seems to do these days) it's a reason to go..hmmmm.

Carol, I think gas is around $4.00 here. It was MORE Than that in Hawaii. So sorry to hear about your dad. I know how hard it must be to see that he can't live on his own anymore. Try and enjoy your time in Boston though - I love that town.

Patty, I will be thinking of you this weekend. I know it will be a tough one for you. My DF is going down to SD to spend the day with her Mom's best friend. I guess it's the next best thing. I sent my mom a GC to Outback. It's what she wants - consumables.

ACCKKKK...where did the time go? It's after 11. I have to get to work here...

Lou

Just a quick fly by since I'm tired and I have Alyssa tomorrow for the closing at 4:00 and also on Saturday for the move.

Lou, they're doing much better, he still gets moody, this week he was and Kim said she just left him alone and thought that he could just be that way, it's not her fault or responsibility, so she just left him alone and she said he eventually got out of it. He's doing much better on his drinking, or not drinking, I should say, and he's treating her the way that he should.

The kids close tomorrow at 4. The checks all came in but I'm worried that they'll try to put a hold on the one that was Fed Ex today. They did that with the last one, but I think it's because I took it to one of the shared bank branches instead of our credit union. When I called our c.u. the girl said it was because it was an investment check, but hopefully it won't be held tomorrow. I will be so relieved when it's all over with. John is going with them so that they have someone looking out for them.

Nite girls, have a great Friday. I have my re-pap tomorrow morning.

Hey everybody. Gosh, I seem to be so busy these days, I can never get in here to post.

I have been doing ok on my eating. I have lost about a total of 8 lbs, slow and steady.

My husband and I are attempting to run, it is also slow and steady, but I am able to go a little further each day. We decided that if the biggest loser people could do it then so could we. We are not nearly that big as some of those people and they manage.

I have been shopping for a sports bra. Who knew that could be so hard? I have large breasts, a 36DD or 38DD, so I definitely need something holding them up. I went to our mall yesterday, and probably tried on 16 bras in the three stores that had them. None my size.

Today went to Walmart and tried on 12. I ended up buying the only two in the whole store in my size. They are ok, and seem to work, but I really want one that makes me look like I have two boobs instead of just one large one, if you know what I mean. Oh well, perhaps I will lose some of the excess soon and can them go buy a smaller one like that. Good thing was that these were only $7 each. It did seem a little easier to run with it on though. I don't get physically tired, but I get winded and I am having to teach myself to breathe properly.

Hi Psigna,
Way to go on the running. I'm so impressed. Running scares me. Especially scares my poor knees. I just stick with the weight training and walking.

I've never seen a sports bra that "defines". Everybody I've ever seen wear them they just look like it's one boob and usually squashed, lol. I don't think they're thinking fashion when they make them, that's for sure, lol. Sadly, when I put one on, it looks like no boobs, not even one! Lol. That's how smashed they are. And there's not too awful much to smash in the first place, lol.

All this boobage talk....... I like the padded bras these days. Even though the last thing I need is more boob (Psig - you and I are the same size) I think they hold things together better. Gravity has not been kind. That was confirmed when my DF lent me a very pretty Hawaiian sundress for the cruise. I put it on and realized there's no way I can wear a bra with this, so I'll wear it on my private balcony where nobody can see the twins running free. Then DF suggested maybe I should go underpants free and let the Suzie feel the fresh ocean breeze too....I digress.....anyway, it's hard to find a decent bra period.

I'm down 1 1/2 pounds so far. I must keep up the momentum over the weekend. I am making a special re-do of the romantic balcony dinner on Saturday night. Hopefully it will not be a night where my neighbors kids have company. I'm going to make a really nice 4 course candle light dinner outside in the moonlight. I'm going to make tiny portions like they do on the cruise. This time we won't be all windblown though.

Anyone watch Survivor? Anyone think Erick is a complete and total moron?

So, I have to get to work here....

Lou, your dinner sounds lovely. Have a good time and STAY OP!!! 4 days down and working on my 5th. Amazing considering my past couple of months.

Stupid boy, that Erik. What a very hard life lesson to learn and sadly it's about women of course. Lolol. Did you hear James at the end? He said he officially was no longer the dumbest survivor ever. They've all really been played big time by those gals and now it'll really get interesting as we see who can stab who the deepest next week. I think my favs are Amanda and Cirie. I don't care for Parvati AT ALL and Natalie, meh.

I think James should win the $100,000 at the end for the audience vote.

hello my WW friends and TGIF to you all.
Sorry been MIA for a few days.. just trying to stay busy and keep my mind on other things.
Good for you Mel.. I am very happy to hear it all came out ok for you and the test.
Hugs to Sandy and her mom.. hope all will be much better soon and hope is all we can do sometimes

We put Parker on a cancer starving diet.. and lots of pain medz... really can't tell if its making a difference
So we are taking one day at a time.. and try to do all we can do, to slow the cancer down..
I am just afraid because he is old.. and never been 100% healthy anyway, there is not much we can do.. and we are fighting a losing battle.. but at this time we all still have a little bit of fight left in us.. and it is definiatly still worth trying.. when I see that he is suffering and in pain.. and I can not keep him happy anymore.. than the time will be to make that desiccion.. but at this time we are all still hanging on to a little bit of hope and as I said.. trying to stay busy

I got the ipod my son send me for motherday back from apple and they could not find a problem.. so I spend all day with them on the phone on wednesday.. trying to get it working.. and at the and it seems it must be my computer.. because it works on the guesthouse pc... so.. I loaded all my music and info from over there...
But... bottom line.. this computer here in my office is several years old.. and I think it might be time to reload everything on it.. and start from scratch...
So tomorrow I am having two new online classes starting... for the next 6 weeks.. so I will wait until that is over, before taking this computer down and starting over! YIKES.
Do not even want to think about that task.

WL has been good.. and we where down to 168 two days ago.. but this morning we weight in at 170 again.. I think TOM is knocking on the door and that might be it.
Have not been to the gym all week..argh. soooooo
monday.. next week.. we will get back to that routine.

so.. hugs to you all...

and my dear friend Marie.. hugs and paryers to your friend Christi.. I remember you talking about her...

Oh my Monika, How'd I miss the fact that Parker has cancer? Last I heard you were taking him in for a check up. I'm so sorry to hear this. I'll add him to my prayers and all of you too. Hopefully the diet will help alot!

Those iPods can be a giant pain in the butt! But I don't think I could do w/o it now, lol. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I hardly ever listen to music on mine, just mostly podcasts, lol.

Oh, Monika, I missed that too. I'm so, so sorry. Have you looked online for a cancer community? I found one when Miles was sick and they were very helpful. There are communities out there for just about every specific type of cancer you can think of. They can tell you what types of holistic options there are and various other treatment options. Again, I'm so very sorry.

Monika,
Mostly the podcasts I listen to are Daily Bread Catholic Exchange, Jimmy Moore's low carb show, and Prairie Home Companion for DH. Also a few other talk show type ones. I just searched for free podcasts and browsed through the ones that sounded good. I started the Daily Bread one during Lent and I really liked starting my day out like that so I've kept it up.

oh thank you all.. and again.. sorry I have been gone and I missed a lot of your post..
but.. yes... as hard it is ... part of our life... and or soul...and those are the feelings that make us human.
And after all the hurt we are feeling now... we just found out that a friend of ours wife cancer came back... he is a soldier... and he and his wife have 2 small children... 1 and 3~ and his wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer after the last baby.. and well.. its back..
So no matter how bad we think we have it.. there is always someone that has it worth...
so we are not complaining.. we are grateful for the time we have and we will enjoy life... and live it every day to the fullest.. that is what it is all about...

Closing went well... going to the new house in just a little bit, we still have Alyssa here. She just took a nap to hold her off since it will be a late night and a busy weekend.
