Morning gals!!
Jen, glad I'm not the only apple/PB deprived person around lol!! Tommie and Kathy, I actually DO have the Bubba Gump cookbook lol.... I've been to the restaurant too, in New Orleans maybe? Can't remember... Shala, I don't know what is going on with me - I was trying to read last night and could barely hold my eyes open but then once I went to sleep I kept waking UP!!!! So I didn't sleep much last night again either!!! That is like almost every day this week!!!! WHAT is up with this??? I was dreamin' crazy too in between waking up. Glad you ate a "real" breakfast today though! Yum that sounds good - A SHALA OMELET!! I do that sometimes but I really like to throw some sauteed onions in there too! BTW, I could be wrong, but I'm betting that you won't like the rolls with the cream cheese either. I know some people hate them with cottage cheese or mayo but love them with cream cheese, but to me, they all taste about the same. I thought you had already tried them with CC before?? Well, who knows... you might like 'em this way. Oh and good luck with all those kids on the field trip - wow, with that many I hope ya'll have a lot of help!!! ![]() Brandi, you must have way too many temptations around your house with those treats!!! Well, just pull up the old boot straps and get back to it. Hopefully it won't hurt anything. Cathy you must be getting SO excited!!! Heck I'm excited for you... I just love Disney and I'm already ready to go again. Sounds like you have a very nice Mother's Day outing planned too. How come nobody in my family has a big Mother's Day thing????? I feel left out!!! ![]()

Brandi.....Still got all me teeth...SEE....
and the girls have slept in the GHOST room the last two nights, so NO GHOST!! Yahoo!! I was tired of have 4 kids in my bed!!! Shalala....I smear......PEANUT BUTTER on my oopsie!! LOVE It!! And I have NEVER ate Peanut Butter on an APPLE either!! I'm peanut butter queen, but I've never tried it!! I mean anyone that eats it on their pancakes and in their oatmeal, you would think would have tried it on an apple!! ![]() I also like mixing up cream cheese, egg, splenda, until light and fluffy and plopping it in the middle of the oopsie before I cook it!! Sprinkle some cinnamon on top and bake it!! Can you say DANISH???? I have also put a small spoon of Sugar Free Strawberry preserves in the middle of the cream cheese!! Sometimes, I just mix the cream cheese and splenda together and heat it just a bit in the microwave and eat it between two oopsies....But I love cream cheese as much as I do PB!!! ![]() I had weird dreams all night last night too!!! I dreamed I had a BIG BOOGER on my face and I had a customer and I kept wiping it off and it kept coming back!!! GROSS!!! ![]() |

Tommie, that sink hole is crazy!!!!
No, the storms didn't even come near us thankfully but were pretty bad in north Mississippi. We didn't even get any rain. I can't remember having so many warnings as this last year though!!! Ya'll need to quit sending those storms this way you hear???? ![]() I'm with you though. I like watching lightning storms but at the same time I'm scared to death of lightning too. Once when I lived in an upstairs apartment, we had a really bad electrical storm pass through. My son was just about maybe 6 or 7 and I went to peek out of the patio curtains and he was like Mom stay away from the window!!! Well don't you know that just as soon as I drew back the curtain and looked out, lightning struck my patio not more than 2 feet in front of my face!!!!! It was literally a hair raising experience - no seriously ... my HAIR STOOD ON IT'S ENDS!!! And my son was on the couch and his hair went up too!!!! Everything electrical in my apartment - the phone, a clock, the cable box all got fried too! I had to replace it all!!! That's about as close as I ever want to be to being struck by lightning!!! |

![]() That's hilarious Tommie!!!! I can't remember mine now but all I know is everytime I would wake up I'd think, okay, that was wierd!!!! And it kept happening over and over so I was really dreaming! I don't think any of them were booger dreams though!! ![]() Hey that's a good idea with the oopsie danish! I hadn't thought of plopping it in the middle before cooking it! Yum. You know, I bet that version would be really good with a scoop of vanilla protein powder thrown in the yolks cuz that makes the rolls kinda sweet tasting anyway. I'm with ya on that too... love love love some cream cheese! |

taking a break...did you ever try to get your house clean...like clean your bathrooms...when the @#$! water is turned off! Love our water supply around here...rural water coop. Every couple of months a leak springs somewhere & they shut the whole town down (course, they have to, cuz there's only one main coming into the little lakes area! But Still! Just glad my laundry was done.) So, I have an excuse to sit at the puter for awhile.
Tommie, I know just where you're at...I also have 4 kids & when they were your kids' ages we rarely got a chance for a vacation (and when we did go, of course the Momma didn't get much of a break, does she?) ...but I HAVE taken 2 four year olds places, LOL. I did licensed home child care for nearly 20 years, if you can believe it . Had me a 12 passenger van & everything. At the time I quit I had 4 five year olds, and a 4,3,2 & 1 yr. old. At one time, I even had 5 kids in diapers (talk about up to your elbows in "it"...if ya know what I mean.) Don't think I'd try to take twin preschoolers to Disneyworld, though--unless I could do it like the rich people do--taking a full-time nanny with us! Mary, thanks for finding all the beverage recipes...those will come in handy! Glad to hear from Di & Kitty... ![]() Brandi...stay on plan, do your MAUI MANTRA! Hi Ing, Kathy, Shala (I know you're gone to Six Flags, but hi anyway!) Who did I forget? Well, whoever it is, sorry...and Hello, have a great weekend. ![]()

Well when my Brother in law was killed, it was kinda a strange thing...he and my sister were split up and my sister fixing to file for a divorce. He was very abusive and controling. They had 4 kids and my neice who was the oldest, was scared to death of her daddy. My sister was living at home with mom and dad and teaching school 30 miles away. He would stop her everyday on her way to school harrassing her and the kids. Well he finally convinced her to agree to go with him one night after school. When she came home and told Daddy that she was going to go with him, daddy put a stop to it!! He met my BIL at the end of the drive way with a gun and told him that she wasn't going!! My neice was crying telling Grandpa how she was afraid for her moma to go. Well the next day, we got a phone call from his place of employment...he had been killed on the job site! He worked for a drilling company and he had went to check on a job site and a small thunder storm came up and as he was getting out of his truck, he was struck by lightening and killed. Another guy with him was burnt, but lived. The other guy said that it was just one cloud that came and went just as quick!! My sister was really upset as were the kids....she didn't by any means want him dead! Well when the family went to the job site to pick up his personal belongings, they found $3000. in cash...all of his clothes....several weapons....and a note telling why he did it!! He had planned on killing my sister the night before had she not agreed to take him back!! My mom believes to this day that God struck him dead!!

Yep...had me freaked out for a LONG time!! His twin brother is in jail right now for murder!! And years before he was killed, his neighbor went missing and they never found him. My BIL and his neighbor just happened to be in a fight over some land at the time his neighbor disappeared. They still think that he may have had something to do with his disappearance!!! I'm just glad that my sister got out when she did and that dad ran him off that night!!!

Cathy I am so excited for you, going to Disney....with your new svelter bod! And you other "trippers" too, even though you gotta take kids
![]() My road trip to Hershey, PA at the end of the month is in jeopardy. It was supposed to be me, my mom, my sis, and my sis's MIL. My sis, who is the director of pharmacy in a tiny hospital just had her other pharmacist quit, with her last day to be the day before our road trip! I don't know if she will get coverage. I already rescheduled everything--hotels, car rental--once to accomodate "the quitter's" schedule, and now will probably have to do it again. My mom is pissed, and was already in a crappy mood, so she is just plain not fit to live with now. I guess if my LC self doesn't make it to Hershey (sound like torture?) it isn't the end of the world, but still.... People are twerps. Brandi! You only have to lose one more pound by Sunday to make your goal?? That is great! I think cream cheese...at least in the quantities I have been enjoying it...may be stalling me I think the oopsie session (almost 2 whole batches!) and another of my version of the Strawberry CheeseQuake Blizzard yesterday may have been a little excessive ![]() ![]() So 2 egg omelette and 2 bacons for brekkie today. Everything else is planned out and defrosting. Gotta make a couple "good" days in here....

Ing, that's why I didn't do the oopsie rolls... cream cheese totally stalls me. I just stuck with the original recipe and sometimes I used mayo instead but I also started added natural protein powder to my yolks and it really made them very breadlike. I know you said you didn't like them with cottage cheese but did you try any of the other add-ins? Some people have used ricotta too, but I didn't get around to trying that version. Not three ounces though, only three tablespoons of cottage, ricotta or mayo!
Sorry about the trip ... praying that everything will work out. Still, it's annoying when somebody else manages to screw up your travel plans. Don't worry ... karma will get 'em! |

Cathy... you must have TONS of patience. I could NEVER in my life deal with that many children that young!!!
Sorry 'bout the water situation. I'm not rural, but I'm outside the city limits so I still know what you mean. Our water company is the pits. They are always having problems, putting us on boil water notices, and shutting it down with no notice!!! Never drink the stuff either, don't even give it to the dogs anymore! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO YOU TOO!!!!! AND TO EVERYBODY ELSE!! Well gals... I'm off to eat an early lunch... didn't have breakfast yet so I'm hungry!!! Guess I ought to do something around the house today too. I've been a goof all this week for some reason! Brandi, I just realized... I gotta take something out for dinner too! ![]() TTYL!! ![]() Quote:
