Good morning, TGIF.

Getting the laptop close to where I want it, still stuff to add and junk to take off. I have no pics or music loaded but I do have all my important programs loaded.

Cindy, sorry you couldn't sleep. I had wild dreams that woke me up too. This time of year is very busy anyway, but when you have one graduating it gets insane!

Deb, I was Grace Kelly and DH was Debbie Reynolds! I didn't think the description was me since I put 'amusement park' as the perfect date!
Happy Birthday to your DS today, hope he has a great day.

MK, how long did you live in WV? Couldn't have been too long if people can't decide if you have an accent!

Becky, cool you got to talk to MK, I'm assuming you, me and MK have a 'midwestern twang' where Cindy has some Yooper in her speech! I'll bet Ange sounds cool with the French edge to her Kansas!

Any news Ange?

Hellos across the board....
Cold out there this morning, 33, and frost warnings for tonight. Goodness, it's the middle of May, we should be past this!

No big Mother's Day plans. I already got a laptop and some new rose bushes, so maybe out to breakfast at the small town diner and that's it.

Must get dressed and get rolling. Have a good one all, will see you later today. K

Kaye!

Waiting for DD to roust herself from her bed....

Not sure what we are doing for Mom's Day either.....know the girls have been whispering. DD18 will be out late, if she comes home at all, from Senior Ball, so we will probably do something mid day......DBF has asked if she can come to dinner at his house - he's only here for the weekend.......isn't that what being a mother is all about? Sacrificing?

Ok, DD just showed up.......off we go....

Morning!

That's it - Cindy has a "Yooper" accent!! (What the heck is a Yooper??)

Kaye - I moved from WV when I was 8, lived in Canada for a couple of years and then moved here.

Cindy - wow! Big weekend.
Don't forget the pictures for us!

I had a weird dream and woke up early too - but managed to get back to sleep!

Mom Day here will be lunch out with my mom and grilling out in the evening if the weather cooperates!

A friend wants to go to lunch today.
I really would rather stay home and finish cleaning out the pantry . . . .

I will be working 12 hours on Mother's Day. I have worked every one for years. One year my husband made a huge meal and brought it in for everyone.
My oldest has stopped by work to give me roses in the past. I am not expecting much. My husband hasn't had time to buy anything yet.

My best Mothers Day ever was 17 years ago when I brought DS17 home from the hospital. I tell him that all the time.

He is up eating breakfast.I told him he isn't 17 until around 6:18 tonight. He was my shortest labor and I wasn't even in labor yet 17 years ago.

Becky, so when would we do Chicago. If it is a weekend I need to plan the days off. I am game!!!! I can fly Southwest pretty cheaply.

Kaye, you got a great Mothers Day gift.

Cindy, I may wake at 4am but I always go back to sleep unless I am have a race. Maybe you have some prerace nerves. Get up early to eat a light breakfast and drink water. Lay off the coffee or just have one cup a few hours before the race.

MK, Do you ever get to WV? The border is around an hour from here but then again it is big state. There are people who live in WV and work in this area because it is so much cheaper. Not sure now that the gas costs so much it is a bargain.

Ange, TGIF!!!! Hope you have a good weekend. May lots of people come see your house but it only takes one.

Kelly, Barb

Becky, I will be praying for the kids today but it should all be fine or they wouldn't have the closing.

I think it is around 3 hours but I am not sure. It is where Univ of WV is so I have to ask people I know with kids there.

I just got a nice kiss from youngest for his birthday present. He is such a sweet boy but he has so many issues. He'll grow up someday.

Are we going on a Saturday to Chicago? Probably any Saturday would be fine with me as long as I had notice not to plan anything for that Saturday. But I have to warn you all, I'm a smart aleck.

I have that re-pap at 9 and then Kim said I have to stop over to their appt because Alyssa has been talking about Mammaw all morning. Kim said what she's saying she has no idea cuz she's just rattling on and on (imagine that, she must get that from Papa. NOT!!! LMAO) and then saying my name. She said she's walking around with the phone pretending to talk to me. She's buggie hunting, too. She's getting obsessed with those little tiny ants.

Well... talking to Alyssa the kid right now and then I'll go take my bath, then off to the docs. Talk to you all later.

Becky - good luck at the docs!

DS15 used to stomp on ants.
We used to call it 'popping ants'!
He could be amused all day if we were in just the right spot in the garden!

The birthday boy is off to school wearing his new watch.

I have to go get ready for work. It is a rainy yucky day. There will be lots of car accidents.

I am wondering what I will get for Mothers Day. I am guessing PJs and maybe something for running. My husband can be unpredictable. It should be something small ( I hope). I want to pay off the Visa not run it back up again.

Morning girls, the boys normal swim coach is OOT so they had one of the other coaches last night. DS10 had the coach that normally only coaches on Mon. and Wed. because she has a not quite 1 y/o. So, because its not her normal night, she brought the baby on deck with her and I got to play with the baby for an hour! It was fun, we threw food, put our feet in the pool, (the pool has actually 2 pools and one is a competition pool, the other is an "instructional/adaptive pool and its used for swim lessons/physical therapy-so it has steps with rails for people that don't walk well, that's where we played, on the steps) walked around the deck and checked out all of the different things in the concrete, you know the plaques, signs, and drains.

Debbie, to your DS! My DH is unpredictable with gifts as well. Usually, its either something over the top or nothing at all. Its okay, it keeps me guessing and is never dull.

MK & Becky, kids and bugs, Two weekends ago when DS14 had the long water polo tournament, DS10 and his friend (another little brother) entertained themselves for hours catching beetles and putting them in gatoraide and water bottles. Both boys had mean parents however and they weren't allowed to bring the bugs home with them.

Cindy, we want to know all about lunch with your DD's DBF!

Kaye, I'm Grace Kelly too and I think I'm quite the party girl! Of course, I know I do like flowers, wine and romance too and I like all of the boys friends to play here so I can get to know them!

DS14 is applying for a jr lifeguard cadet position here. He has to have his application postmarked by tomorrow, so when did he finally ask for his 2nd letter of reference???? Last night. He asked the mom of one of his friends and they dropped it off a little before 10 (we were all tucked in when the doorbell rang) So, I'll drop it in the mail today and tomorrow he has his swim test and interview.

Hi Kelly!

DS15 has done the Jr lifeguard program for the last few years.
He really liked it!
DS19 thinks he might be able to get him on at the pool this year - not as a guard, but at concessions or the front gate.
It would be nice to have his name in, so next year when he wants to be a guard, he'll be a known commodity!

So - were the bottles still full of water/Gatorade?

I have no clue what I'm getting for Mom's Day.
I bought myself the Tomato Success Kit from Gardeners Supply Co - we'll see if I get amazing tomatoes this year! And something else . . . can't remember!

Hi girls, I'm at Kim's right now to see Alyssa after my appt. I went to McDonald's and got us something to eat and then I'm going on home. They'll bring her to me before they go to the closing.

I'm so excited to be getting my permanent makeup next Friday afternoon. I work til 12:30 and then I have a 1:00 appt. I hope that it looks good cuz I'll be stuck with it for life. Ange, is that considered my tattoo's? I had the give the idea of the pink ribbon with the shamrock in the middle to for John to agree to the eyeliner. He's still not real happy cuz he's afraid of infection, but I told him that it is done with sterile needles and she does it in a doctor's office. So much exciting going on this week.

Talk to you later, girls. andto you all

(and no, the bottles were empty and some of them came from the area around the recycle bin where teenage boys had thrown at it but missed)

Don't know what we're doing for Mother's day. I got my Mom a gift card to Barnes and Noble and also got her the WW Dining Out Guide. For Kim we got the pizza stone from Pampered Chef and John's Mom's celebration is next weekend, that's the day she'll be home from the nursing home. For ME I would love for John to grill me a steak and have a LARGE salad. MMMMM. Don't know exactly what's going on this weekend since this is the moving weekend. Closing is in 1 hour and 45 minutes and John did get the check cashed. YEAH. Mom is on her way to see Alyssa and Alyssa should be here soon as well. I bet we'll take a wagon ride or two tomorrow, it's kind of chilly and damp today, so I think we'll stay inside today. But tomorrow, we'll have lots of fun.

Pap went fine, now just waiting for the results. It started me cramping a little but it's gone now.

Toodles girls, talk to you later, don't know when since I'll have the little biscuit ho.

Bugged out of work a bit early and met DH for lunch! A rare occurrence and it was nice. Met him at a 'mom & pop' diner near where he's working.

Was lazy and got Little Caesar's pizza on the way home for dinner. Kids are happy.

DD15 got a 3 day in house suspension for 'leaving campus without permission' today. Guess we can't do that again, but it was an adventure!
I lied to the principal when he called. Pleaded ingnorance "Oh, she's supposed to call me FROM school? I didn't know the policy...blah, blah, blee!" LOL
She's thrilled she has 'street cred' now, and knocked a little 'goody goody' image off!

Must go pay attention to the gang here, bbl. K

Where is everyone? I'm going to a psychic tomorrow at 9. Then over to get Alyssa and keep her for the move, then we'll make beef and noodles and take up when they get all the furniture in the house and in place.

We went up tonight to see their house and it's very pretty. I can't believe that our first one was that small but it was, almost exactly foot by foot. It's adorable and I think they'll love having something of their own.

I'll just sit here and wait for someone to stop by. Come on out and play girls, it's only raining here and will clear by tomorrow so don't let a little rain stop you.
