Good Morning Busy Ladies!!!
Kaye, once you use high speed it is so hard to use dial up. I don't even think my high speed is fast anymore. It is all what you get used to I guess. Cindy, Cards are all the moms get anymore. I think my BIL is sending flowers to MIL. Honestly she can't remember who gives her what anymore. She doesn't know that we pay for her newspaper which is around $20 a month or that we sent flowers for her birthday.I thiok if I lived near my mom I would buy her a plant so she can put it in her garden. I guess I could ask the florist for something like that. MK, it is good your son has a job lined up. Pools open here Memorial Day. Becky, I sure do hope that check comes.Speaking of checks I think my husband's was deposited. I need to go check and pay bills. Ange, Kelly, Barb- what's going on in your worlds.I am still waiting to hear what will happen with apartment middle son has found. One can only hope he will move by July 1. It will be 2 years since he moved home after living in Philly. |

I'm coloring my hair as I write, is that rude? At least I'm not going to the potty, that was the selling point that Kim gave to John to get me RoadRunner, she told him she could take her laptop to the bathroom to poop
. Seriously,so Kaye, look for that on the next RoadRunner commercial . Just to clarify for you girls, I have never, I repeat, NEVER done that while I'm writing to you guys . Okay???Going to lunch at OG with my Mom, I need to be at her house at 12:30 and she lives 25 minutes from me. But first I have to get gas, we're up to 3.79 now kaye, I think I told you that last night, didn't I? I choke every time I put gas in my car. My cats are squaring off on my bed, Guinie is looking at Merlin and he's meowing that "quit looking at me or I'm going to beat the **** out of you" sound. Welp, he just did. . She's getting to be a grumpy old lady, she'll be 10 the first week of June, man, Tuffy lived to be 23 and was NEVER that grumpy. Maybe she's going through menopause , wait, she's been spade .well... off to check more emails, I will check back in tonight. I'm going to the evening WW meeting with Andrea tonight, she's so nervous that she didn't lose but she said her clothes are already fitting better. I told her that she will if she follows it, but since she's been on as many diets as I have and none of them have worked for her she's skeptical with this one too. She said she feels like she hasn't even dieted, just portion controlled and kept track of points, so I told her that she's fine and just relax. She will be 20 in July and already has a 3 year old .

Becky, you crack me up. Have a great lunch with mom. Yes, gas prices are terrible. Makes me glad I drive a little Honda Civic.
I just paid the bills. I have to put my husband's bonus on the Visa and I am wishing it could be spent. It is a nice bonus. First he has gotten in years and they took massive taxes out. I mean over a third of it is is gone to Uncle Sam and maybe into his retirement. I will still owe too much on Visa but it will be better! So my son turns 17 tomorrow. I bought him a watch that would cost around $60 if I got it anywhere other then Costco and I am getting him a $100 Visa Gift Debit Card. He wants the Ironman Game and can buy it with the gift card and then use it for what ever else he wants. Jeez I just bought him new running shoes, 2 pairs of running socks, a pair of running shorts and a shirt and not two weeks ago spent $300 on new spring clothes since nothing he has fit anymore. Tomorrow the charity truck comes and there are two huge bags from his out grown clothes. |

I drive a 98 Contour and glad that I don't have the Rondevoux that Kim has!!! John has a 04 Camry which I will inherite when it's paid off, probably sometime next fall. He has taken very good care of it, mine, not so much so. My car looks like Alyssa and I live in it.
Debbie, you could buy me running shoes. I'll tell you what, I wear a 7 1/2 and if you buy me some, I will start running, deal??? Just thought maybe while you were being generous I'd try to slip that one in. OMG, Guinie is driving me NUTS. After the fight she came over to me and is now kneading my leg. I push her over and she eventually navigates back to me. So glad the birds don't do that, between their 22 little feet (11 birds) and the 4 per cat that would be 30 feet tromping all over me!!! Better go finish my hair so I can start getting ready to go to Mom's. C ya all tonight after WW. (thst's how girls almost 20 talk, just in case you didn't recognize it in my lingo) |

Becky, running shoes need to be 1/2 to one full size bigger then regular shoes. I measure a 6 1/2 and wear a 71/2.
My money goes to my kids. I still pay their car insurance. Probably because I didn't pay for all of their college just part and not that much. I also spend a lot on eating out and food in general.Add the cost of gas going up and even electric is going up. Food is going up. Boy my income isn't going up. I am always generous with my kids. The fact the youngest outgrew almost all his summer clothes didn't help me this past month at all. I need to go dress for the gym. I have Pilates in 30 minutes then I hit the bank and grocery store. I didn't sleep well last night. I couldn't sleep. Cindy, no suprise Jason being kicked of Idol. I think the two Davids will be battling it out and I like Cook better. |

MAJOR LCF POSTER!

Morning girls, I like my bike here! Gas prices are currently $4.05 here.
MK, thanks for asking, I was just tired last night. We had our last business meeting for our parent club yesterday and there is one mom that makes everything complicated. Then I had the end of season party for DS14's team. I ended up with more kids than I had planned on, even with the buffer I built in for non RSVPing kids, and fewer adults than I planned on. It went well though, the boys played in the pool and stood by the food, the girls got plates and sat at a table to eat. A few girls did get in the pool after the boys moved to throwing stuff at each other and playing guitar hero or wii in the house. We ended up skipping the reception last night cause neither of us had the energy. Becky, I'm sure Andrea knows she's lucky to have you for a friend! Cindy, your friend seriously left you???? Did you have your own car? If I got left every time I stopped to say hello I would be left all the time. Debbie, sounds like your DS is having a nice b-day! When will your other DS find out about the apartment? |

Kaye, BIL and his family live in rural world and can only get dial up. He only gets online at his office, not in rural world.
Cindy, my mom will get a card in the mail and we'll take her shopping when she's here for 8th grade promotion in June. Big 's to everyone else!!!!! |

Debbie, I don't feel so bad now, we help Kim and Brad out a lot (John's check just came and he's waiting for the rest tomorrow in his paycheck, but hopefully they can close now). People tell us to cut the apron strings, which maybe we should, but we're a close family (no, bet you guys didn't know that, did you) and she's there emotionally for us when we need her. She doesn't have the funds to "help us" nor do we need it at this time but she's there for us when we have a health crisis, and she spends a lot of time with us when Brad is working. It will be nice to see her and Alyssa have a home, well... brad too, but you guys know what I mean. And it's a nice starter home too, just like the one that we started out in. Ours was small (starter, naturally) but we never had to hang our heads because it wasn't nice, it was very pretty, if we could have picked it up and taken it with us closer to John's work and added on to it, we would have DEFINITELY kept it. Our first home will always have a special place in my heart, and I bet this one will be to Kim too. John's going with them to the closing, so I feel good about that. They're young and nieve and they don't have Kenny with them (Granddad was their realtor) but since it was for sale by owner, after he drew the contract up, he stepped aside. He's called Kim each week to ask her how things are, but he wanted it to be a learning experience for them, but he's guided them through it. When he found out John was going, he said that was fine with him (he has his hands full with John's Mom).
OKAY, so now I DO have to get ready to go to Mom's lunch. I AM turning off the computer. See, this is what I do when I DO take a day off. I play around on the computer with my imaginary friends. Well... we'll see in July if you guys are imaginary, right MK? I will let you all know if she really does exist. MK, you need to give me a call so I can at least hear your voice. I won't be able to wait til July, poor John will be ready for the looneybin by then if you don't. |

Home from a morning and part of the afternoon filled with errands. Rain has started too. I just cleaned out one freezer and really need to go do the other one because I don't really know what is in there and how old it is. I have to go make some burgers out of some hamburger that was on sale. I should eat lunch because I keep picking on food that isn't good for me. That is my life long story.
I don't know about walking but running shoes need to be 1/2 to a whole size bigger. I wear a 6.5-7 shoe but mostly buy 7s so my running shoes are about a half size bigger. They don't feel too big and let me tell you feet swell in the heat and with my long runs. Back to the kitchen and then maybe I will face the freezer in the garage which is packed and needs reorganizing( or not). I could read one of two books I bought at Costco yesterday too. |

MK, I'm home now til 6:00 when I leave for my WW meeting, and I'll be home around 8. Where did you grow up? Cindy, where did you grow up? I've been in Ohio my whole life, does that make me sound midwestern???
Had a blast with my Mom's friends, they invited me for the September 22 luncheon, don't know if I can get off work but I'm going to try. They were cute and fun. All of them were in their 80's and vivacious. Have fun with that spelling, princess proofreader!!!! |

Stopped at the library and got some more downloads, didn't stay too long as I promised to pick DD up. Got my updates and virus protection up and rolling. Getting there.
Back home and on my dial-up But not so bad really. Deb, my only options out here are (expensive) satellite or now a signal via cell phone (expensive too, but not as) thing is you need a strong signal, which we don't have out here. Still no cable lines or dsl this far out. Have lots of hope for the new 'WiMax' technology! Becky, you SO have to post pics of your cats! I'd love to see them finally! Glad you've never posted with us while pooping, I feel much better now! Kelly, we're close to your $4.05, at $3.90 here. Just a little more than you MK. Cindy, ours WAS 3.63 yesterday until about noon when ALL the stations bumped it a quarter! I happened to swing by Meijers AS the guy was out changing the sign and I swung in fast and got that nozzle in my car as fast as I could! If they haven't fully changed the sign, the pump is still the lower price. I got it by literal seconds! Whew! Everyone is home here now and I've planned NO dinner. Must go see what I can scrounge up for the crowd. hugs all, K |

Debbie, I'm Grace Kelly, convenient huh?
Cindy, sounds like your friend is becoming needy and high maintenance. Maybe you should introduce her to Mr & Mrs Needy. ![]() MK, DS14 is the only one of us that is still slightly clinging to his southern accent. DH never had one. DS14 still gets teased occasionally about certain things he says. Its cute really! Kaye, sounds like you have the same internet options DBIL has. He looked into the cell card thingie (which DH uses for business and loves, but it is expensive!) and since his cell phone doesn't work from home, the cell card thingie for the computer made no sense either. We're having party leftovers for dinner, want me to send some your way? Becky, sounds like a very fun afternoon! ![]() |
